First will be the Double Deal Dace that we have been planning for the last few months. And hopefully you have signed up for your part in helping to make it a success. Next is the Annual Holiday Party (better known as Swinging Stars Christmas party). Linda and Charley Harris are in charge of the Annual event. This year it is going to be at a different venue. We are not going to be able to have the party at the Haggard Party Barn. It isn't available to us anymore. SWINGING STARS REGULAR CLUB BUSINESS MEETING ON NOV. 18 th Swinging Stars Regular business meeting will be on November 18 th, at 4:00PM. We will meet at Norma's Café, 605 W 15 th St. in Plano. Check out their website at www.normascafe.com. Come for the meeting and stay for dinner. We will be voting for our new slate of officers and will have other items of interest for to discuss. You will want to be there to give your opinion during the discussion.

SWINGING STARS DOUBLE DEAL DANCE ON NOV.30 TH We've been mentioning our Double Deal Dance for a while it's only one dance away! Our Double Deal Dance is a lot like our Anniversary Dance, since it's a fundraiser to help Swinging Stars with the expenses during the year. Chairmen Wendy and Bill Perrott's signup sheets have been filling up, but there are still a few slots open for food and jobs. Wendy will be sending emails to ask for help for those open slots. Feel free to contact Wendy (214-726-9383) to volunteer, if you haven't already. If you won't be at our Double Deal dance, please consider giving a donation to the club, so we can give it to the members that are doubling up to bring food in your absence. The dance will be at Shepherd Elementary School with Caller Wayne Baldwin, Guest Caller Charles Quizenberry, and with Walter Brewer Cueing. About two weeks before the Double Deal Dance, Wendy will be sending out a reminder as to what it is you have signed up to do and what food you will be bringing. We would also like to remind everyone that the November 23rd dance is canceled, because of Thanksgiving. Our Double Deal Dance on November 30 is in place of the dance on the 23rd. Report on Square Dance Lessons Lucy and Ralph Hamm Our students continue to progress nicely and are ready to go out to new dancer dances. We'll be encouraging them to go to the Texas Reelers new dancer dance on November 16. This dance is on the club visitation schedule, so plan to get out and support our students. Thanks to these Swinging Stars who served as angels during October: Jodie Baldwin, Doug and Jan Bergesen, Dave and Lorraine Burson, Richard and Jan Covington, Kieth and Kathy Elliott, Ralph and Lucy Hamm, Nevin Mulvin, Nick and Diane Stewart, and Walt and Diana Whipple.
