MOTORBOAT WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS CLASS International Championship of Poland - _NIN 3-4 July 2004 The regulation the preliminary programme 1. Organizer: Recreation and Sports Centre in _nin and Sport Amateur Association Baszta instructed by the Organizing Committee of Motorboat World Championship and Polish Motorboat and Water Skiing Association. Co organizers: 1.1. Polish Motorboat and Waterskiing Association in Warsaw 1.2. The Cuiavia and Pomerania Marshall Office in Toru_ 1.3. The Voivodeship Office in Bydgoszcz 1.4. The City Hall in _nin 1.5. County Authority in _nin. 1.6. Motorboat Sports Club TEAM HAR_ZA 1.7. School Yacht Club 2. The place and the date of the race. Championship will be held according to the calendar of U.I.M. and M.M.P. on July 3 rd - 4 th, 2004 on the Small Lake (called Czaple) in _nin according to the minute program. 3. Series and classes - WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP T-550 - International Poland Championship - International Poland Championship JT-250 - International Poland Championship O-250 - International Competition ADAC - ADAC MSG Motorboat Cup 2004. 4. Heats 4.1. All the heats will be run under U.I.M., M.M.P. and ADAC regulations and this Avant Program. 4.2. A circuit is a closed course. Heats will be run according to the included scheme. The circuit length is 1m. 4.3. Each class will have 3 heats included in the final result. 4.4. Class JT-250 heat length is 6000m (4 laps). 4.5. In all other classes heat length is 12000m (8 laps). 4.6. In all heats one safety lap is obligatory. 4.7. The driver who will not go the safety lap or will not react to signals will be disqualified. 4.8. A driver will be classified if he covers at least 75% of a course in a given heat. 5. If the heat is stopped it will be repeated only once. 311 U.I.M
6. Entries 6.1.Entries should be sent till June 25 th 2004 on the enclosed entry form and confirmed by the National Federation (by mail or by fax). Address: Miejski O_rodek Sportu ul. The entry signed by the driver will be treated as a approval of the Regulation of World Championships - _nin 2004. 6.3. Entry forms sent after the closing of entries will not be included in programme publications. 6.4. The participation of the drivers in the Races is at their own charge. 7. Start 7.1. Dead engine start from the jetty under U.I.M. rule 307 signalized by lights. 7.2. The organizers guarantee starting places for 16 drivers 7.3. The late starters (after red light is off) must pass the safety zone (buoy no4). If the driver breaks a rule, he will be disqualified from the heat. 7.4. If the number of the drivers in a given class is higher than the number of starting places, qualifying heats (7m long, 5 laps) will take place (according to this minute programme) art.304.03 UIM. 7.5. On the starting jetty each driver may be accompanied by two mechanics only. 8. Drivers meeting 8.1. Obligatory drivers meeting in which U.I.M. Commissioner will take place in DEPO according to the Avant Program. 8.2. Absence of the driver during the meeting will cause disqualification. 9. Scrutineering 9.1. Scrutineering will take place in DEPO on 2 nd of July 2004 at 12 am till 8pm. and 3 rd of July from 7am 11am. 9.2. During scrutineering the organizer will insist on having all elements of the equipment under U.I.M. rules and documentation for homologated engines. 9.3. The Weighing of boats and the measurement of engine loudness will be done by Technical Committee. 10. Practice 10.1. Training is possible after scrutineering and according to the Avant Program. 10.2. Leaving the jetty during practice must be done through the safety zone only (buoy no 4). 10.3. Willfully usage of the boat on the water different from the schedule or breaking the rule 101 will cause disqualification from the competition. 10.4. During practice on July 2 nd, 2003 the timing will be carried out so all drivers are obliged to go 2 full laps at least. 10.5. The results achieved during practice will decide upon the places in the first heat or qualifying heats.
10.6. Since July the 2 nd from 12.00 till July the 4 th to 18.00 the water area will be closed for all other boats that will not take part in the Races. 11. DEPO 11.1. Depo will be guarded from 12:00 on 2 nd of July, 2004 till 18.00 on 4 th of July. 11.2. Staying in Depo at night or during the opening or closing ceremony is forbidden. 11.3. It is allowed to leave (park) boats only on marked places. 11.4. Only drivers, mechanics (over 16 years old) and functionaries have the access to Depo. 11.5. It is forbidden to use open fire and to smoke cigarettes in the Depo. There will be a marked place for smoking. 11.6. Siren signal means leaving DEPO. 11.7. It is forbidden to park cars in DEPO. 11.8. It is not allowed to stay in DEPO during the night. 12. Crane 12.1. Launching and lacing up boats from the water by crane will be carried out in class S 550, T-550, ADAC. 12.2. Boats intended to be craned in and out of the water must have slings and hooks. 12.3. Crane maneuvers may be carried out only at the presence of the driver and on his responsibility. 12.4. It is not allowed to be on the boat or near by while the crane is working. 13. Protection of the natural environment (art.700 UIM) 13.1. Each driver has to observe provisions concerning protection of the natural environment. 13.2. All drivers should put a container under the engine in order to protect the area against pollution. 13.3 Wastes and used oils will be put to specified bin in DEPO area. 13.4 Permissible loudness under U.I.M. rule 504. 13.5 The organizer will fulfill all recommendation art. 704 UIM. 14. Minimum age. 14.1. Minimum age of the drivers taking part in International Races is 16. 14.2. In youth class JT-250 age limit is 10 for foreign drivers and 12 for polish (according to The Regulations of Poland Championship). 15. Prizes 15.1. Winners in The World Championship get for the places from 1-6 cups. 15.2 In other classes the winners of the first three places will get cups. 16. Jury 16.1. Persons appointed to be members of the Jury must present the appointment from the N.A., and deliver it to the Race Office on July, the 2 nd 2004. 17. Insurance 17.1. The prerequisite to participate in the competition will be valid OC and NW Insurances according to articles 17.2 and 17.3 of this Regulation. 17.2. Each competitor is obliged to transact a civil liability (OC) insurance agreement at the site of competition with a fee of 100,- PLN excluding damages of equipment.
17.3. The organizers will also require NW policy (unfortunate accidents and medical treatment insurance) issued in Polish or English and confirmed by insurance company. 17.4. It will be possible to purchase NW policy at the Reception. Insurance for the equipment AC can be agreed individually. 18. Protests 18.1. Protests should be submitted to the Jury under U.I.M. rules 401 403 only in written form in Polish or in English at the Secretariat of the Race. 18.2. Protest fee is 300,- PLN 19. Administration 19.1. Reception will be located in MOS, 18, Szkolna St. - on July 2 nd, 2004 from 12.00 20.00. - on July 3 rd, 2004 from 7.00 11.00. 20. Final Regulations 20.1 The Organizers reserve the right to make changes in this programme before the event. All the changes will be announced on the drivers meeting the latest in a special written form. 20.2 The Organizers reserve the right to a medical examination of all drivers as well as to deposit drivers medical evaluation sheets. 20.3 For a damaged buoy the organizers will charge a fee of 1000,-PLN rule 313.03. 20.4 The interpretation of the above rules is on the side of the organizers. 20.5 Each competitor is obliged to participate in opening and closing ceremony of the Championships. 20.6 The possibility to purchase full catering: WODNIK pub, Szkolna 18 st., price is 30 PLN 20.7 The organizer will not supply fuels for the competition.
