PROSPECTUS TITLE OF THE TOURNAMENT 18th Carrom Eurocup 2014 AUTHORITY The 18th Carrom Eurocup 2014 will be organized by the UK Carrom Federation under the authority granted by the European Carrom Confederation. DATE The event will be held from 7th to 11th August 2014. The games will be held on 8th, 9th and 10th August 2014. VENUE The venue and accommodation for all players will be at: Venue Name: LSE Bankside House, 24 Sumner Street, London SE1 9JA www.ukcarromfed.com/eurocup2014 ELIGIBILITY The 18th Carrom Eurocup 2014 is open to the Registered Players of the member Federations/ Associations affiliated to the European Carrom Confederation. Special invitees from other nations of Europe may be permitted to take part in the events with the approval of the European Carrom Confederation and the UK Carrom Federation. EVENTS Team: 4 players (per country), approx. 7-8 countries Doubles: approx. 50-60 teams Swiss League Singles: approx. 100-120 players Mode of Team Event: There will be four players of each country and they must hold passport of country that they represent pg. 1
Teams will be divided into two groups. Teams will play each other in groups A game will be played of 8 boards, 25 points, time limit 50 minutes + 5. Each round will consist of 2 games of singles and 1 game of doubles 2 points will be awarded for each win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for lost. Every team player must play at least 1 game of singles and 1 game of doubles during the whole tournament. After group stage 2 best teams of each group will play in knockout faze. The semi-finals will be played between team nr 1 of group A against team nr 2 of group B and team nr 2 of group A against team nr 1 of group B. The final will be played of 8 boards, 25 points no time limit. If there is less than 7 teams there will be only one group and no knockout faze. Mode of Doubles Event: The tournament will be conducted according to Swiss System with 7 rounds (cross ranking order). A game will be played of 8 boards, 25 points, time limit 50 minutes + 5. If there is time, players may play the 9th board if they have equal points after 8 boards. 2 points will be awarded for each win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for lost. Final match will be played between player nr 1 and player nr 2 after 7th round. Final match will be played of 1 game to 25 points with no time limit. Mode of Singles Event: The tournament will be conducted according to Swiss System with 12 rounds (one extra round can be added if more than 100 players) A game will be played of 8 boards, 25 points, time limit 50 minutes + 5. If there is time, players may play the 9th board if they have equal points after 8 boards. 2 points will be awarded for each win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for lost. Final match will be played between player nr 1 and player nr 2 after 12th round. Final match will be played best of 3 games of 8 boards or 25 points, one hour time limit per game. PARTICIPATION FEE Participation fee for the 18th Carrom Eurocup 2014 would be as follows; Players (adult): 260 euro each Players (under 18): 200 euro each Guest (non-players): 250 euro each Children (under 6): free The participation fee includes: all events accommodation breakfast, lunch and dinner from Thursday dinner to Monday breakfast Each National Federation/Association may remit the participation fee, payable as above by 31st May 2014 for all members of the contingent of their respective countries. The entry fee shall be remitted to the UK Carrom Federation through bank transfer as per details given as under: pg. 2

Details of General Rules will be announced separately. REFEREEING The Refereeing will be in English. Matches will be supervised by the International and National Grade Umpires (both local and foreign). The decision of the referees shall be final on the laws of Carrom. The decision of the Chief Referee shall be final and binding on both the parties on the matter not covered in the Laws of Carrom. PARTICIPATION / ENTRY Each Federation/Association may enter 20 players in the tournament. However, more players may be accepted subject to a maximum of 120 players for the tournament. The host nation reserves the right to register more players as by ECC agreement. The Championship Committee, reserves the right to reject any entry without assigning any reason but with the approval of ECC. pg. 3
SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES Entries shall be submitted on Entry Form sent along with the Prospectus by email (info@ukcarromfed.com) or by post to UK Carrom Federation. Scan and editable version of Entry Form duly filled shall be returned together with requisite entry fee on or before 31st May 2014 otherwise the entry may be disqualified. All forms should be signed by the President/Secretary of the nominating Federation/Association with their office seal affixed. MATCH SCHEDULE The 18th Carrom Eurocup 2014 will start on Friday 8th August 2014. Full program will be available soon by mail and be available on the website. HOSPITALITY Hospitality will be provided to all the participants, officials and friends listed on official Entry Forms from 4.00PM of 7 th August to 11.00AM of 11 th August LSE Bankside House. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be at the venue. There may also be one or two evening dinner outside the LSE Bankside House. All participants will be shared in triple en-suite rooms. There are few double en-suite available for couples at special request (please make sure you enquire at earliest convenience). In room facilities Room Description Triple En-suite Room consisting of three single beds, private bathroom, wardrobe, bedside table, desk, chair and complimentary toiletries. Linen and towels are provided. Approximate room size: between 23.5m² and 25m². Full English breakfast, or a vegetarian option if preferred. Wi-Fi internet access available to all guests. INSURANCE All participating Federations/Associations should have Health Insurance for their players/officials for period of their participation in the 18th Carrom Eurocup 2014. TECHNICAL COMMITTEE A meeting of the Technical Committee (includes members of the ECC) will be held at 20.00 on at the venue and on subsequent occasions during the tournament, if required. pg. 4
PROTEST All protests shall be submitted as per provisions of the Laws of Carrom, along with scrutiny fee of 50. If the protest is upheld, the match shall continue from the particular board in which the protest was lodged and scrutiny fee refunded. In case the protest is overruled, the result already obtained shall stand and the scrutiny fee forfeited. EQUIPMENT Synco Carrom Boards Signature Synco Carrom coins. Potato Starch will be used as a powder. LAST DATE FOR ENTRIES Last date for receipt of entries for all events is 31st May 2014. CANCELLATIONS As the hostel requires full payment in advance, in case of cancellation of entries we are sorry to have to apply the following penalties: One month before the 1st day of the tournament, 50% of the fee amount of the entries will be kept. After that date, the full fee amount of the entries will be kept. If we can find a replacement player, full fees will be returned.
