Players have mre practical space t play in. Players experience recurring situatins frequently. The wrk rate and invlvement f a player stays cnsistent. Ttal running distance is basically the same fr large r small fields. Players have energetic wrkuts due t playing bth ffense and defense. While learning bth ffense and defense, a player will becme mre cmplete and will have a better understanding f the rles f teammates. Lighter. Less intimidating. Less stress n jints (injuries). Easier t imitate adult perfrmance. Size f the Field Cnducive t their physical size. Mre efficient use f space. Tw games can be played simultaneusly acrss a regulatin field. Bringing gals clser t the actin means mre gals and that's fun! Size f the Gal Reinfrces preferable shting habits. Gives galkeepers realistic respnsibilities.
Field Markings 1. The Field f Play A. DIMENSIONS: The U-10 field f play shall be rectangular, its length being nt mre than 90 yards nr less than 50 yards and its breadth nt mre than 60 yards nr less than 35 yards. The length in all cases exceeds the breadth. B. MARKINGS: Distinctive LINES at least 2-5 inches wide. A HALFWAY LINE shall be marked ut acrss the field. A CENTER CIRCLE with a six (6) yard radius. Fur CORNER ARCS with a ne (1) yard radius. GOAL AREA - Six (6) yards frm each gal pst and six (6) yards int the field f play then jined by a line drawn parallel with the gal line. PLAYER/COACHES AREA - Twenty (20) yards lng. Beginning at the halfway line g ten (10) yards dwn the tuch line int each half f the field.
SPECTATOR VIEWING LINE - Will be marked ut five t ten (5-10) yards frm the tuchlines and behind the player/caches Area. C. GOALS: U-10: Seven (7) feet high and seven (7) yards wide. Minimum - Size f a hckey gal. 2. The Ball U-10: Size fur (4). 3. The Number f Players U-10: Maximum n the field at any ne time is nine (9). Minimum n the field at any ne time is five (5). SUBSTITUTION: Unlimited - with Referee's permissin. PLAYING TIME: Each player must play at least 50% f the game. 4. Player's Equipment Jersey r shirt - with number, shrts, scks, ftwear, shin guards are Mandatry. A player shall nt wear anything which is dangerus t anther player r themselves, including any kind f jewelry. 5. Referees Official referees will be used, if available. A "substitutin break" shall be whistled mid-way in each half. Substitutins can be made at any ther time with Referees permissin Half time break f five (5) minutes. 8. Start f Play Oppnent must be six (6) yards frm the center mark when place kick (kick-ff) is in prgress. 9. Ball In and Out f Play Cnfrm t FIFA Laws f the Game. Offside Offside is t be called. Offside is when a ffensive player is clser t the defenders gal then the secnd t last defender and invlved in the play but the ball is behind them. 12. Fuls and Miscnducts All fuls will result in and INDIRECT FREE KICK with ppnent six (6) yards away frm the ball.
