Date for the 101 course is June 8. The Fly Fishing 201 course is conducted on the water, with a lower instructor/student ratio. The main thrust of the 201 course is getting those interested in taking the next step in fly fishing on the water at a local location where they will get real life experience in applying fly fishing basics to catching fish. Dates for the 201 course are June 1 and June 15.

Grand Isle Weekend When: Jun 28 30, 2013 Where: Blue Dolphin Inn, Grand Isle, LA (map) Description: Grand Isle Fly Fishing Weekend Friday-Sunday, June 28-30, 2013 A great tradition since 1990... the Red Stick and Acadiana fly fishing clubs hold their annual Grand Isle surf fishing trip joined by members of other FFF clubs in Louisiana and Mississippi. Check rsff.org website for details. RSFF Spring Trip to Concordia Lake: On April 12 th 14th, 2013 RSFF had their annual Spring Trip to Concordia Lake. The fishing was a little slow due to the numerous cold fronts that plagued the area in April. The situation was exasperated by an, as of yet, unsubstantiated report that the Randy Leonparcher family fished out the lake a week prior to our arrival. Nonetheless, there were plenty of fish caught and all those that bellied up to the trough were fed just as planned. Special Congratulations to Frank Harmon who managed to catch a couple of nice Striped Bass at the event.
