How Pools are Created in the East Region In the 2014-2015 school year, athletic reps passed a motion to adopt school size primarily and then geographic proximity as the basis for grouping schools in the divisional round of play. This is used in all city level (volleyball, basketball and soccer) and regional (flag football, junior volleyball and primary soccer) sports. The figure used is the October 31 st enrollment provided by the Health and Physical Education department. The 45 participating schools in the east region are divided into three groups A, B and C based on the October 31 st enrollment. An A sized school will only play other A schools and/or B schools at a divisional tournament. A C school will play C schools and/or B schools at a divisional tournament. An A school will not play a C school at the divisional level of play. The school population table will be adjusted annually and in place for the divisional basketball tournament scheduled for February. Below is the enrollment from October 31 st 2017.
