Notice of Motion 1 Amendment To: Membership (Players) CURRENT WORDING: Membership shall be open to resident players of the Yellowhead region and such other players as are allowed to join by the regional executive. PROPOSED WORDING: 2.0 Membership Membership shall be open to any resident of legal age residing in the Yellowhead region. 2.1 In the event that a player that resides outside of the Yellowhead Region boundaries as recognized by Hockey Manitoba is selected to the hockey club, that player s parents or legal guardians will be considered voting members for the season or seasons that their son is a member of the hockey club. Notice of Motion 2 Amendment To: Operation CURRENT WORDING: The hockey club is the Yellowhead Region representative in the AAA Midget Hockey League. As such, the team is under the direction of the regional representatives of Hockey Manitoba. The Yellowhead Regional Representatives will designate a six member managing board to be called Yellowhead Council four (4) members who each represent the four geographical areas that make up the region, a member of the parent committee will be appointed to this board and the Regional Representative who will chair the meetings and only vote in the case of a tie. No member of the board, other than the parent representative, may have an active player on the team or a player eligible to be selected to the team. It will be the responsibility of this board to select head coach, president, manager(s), and approve other persons as are needed to properly operate the club. The day-to-day operation of the club shall be handled by the President, Manager, and Parent Committee formed from parents of the players who are members of the hockey club. The Parent Committee (minimum 4 maximum 8) will be chosen to reflect each of the areas from which the member of the team are resident and is to be chosen by all parents of club members. The Committee will remain operating the club until the completion of the season. The Parent Committee shall operate with whatever officers as they, in their discretion, shall decide but shall include a chairperson and a secretary and a treasurer.

PROPOSED WORDING: 3.0 Operation 3.1 The hockey club is the Yellowhead Region representative in the AAA Midget Hockey League. As such, the team is under the direction of the regional representatives of Hockey Manitoba. 3.2 The Yellowhead Region will designate a seven (7) member managing board to be called Yellowhead Council consisting of four (4) members (residents of the Yellowhead Region) who each represent the four geographical areas that make up the region, Parent Executive Chairperson, Team Manager and an appointed member of the Yellowhead Region Executive. The Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer and four (4) members at large will be elected by all parents of the hockey club players and no two (2) committee members shall be from the same minor hockey association. The Manager will be appointed by the Yellowhead Region. 3.5 The Committee will remain operating the club until the completion of the season. The Parent Committee shall operate with whatever officers as they, in their discretion, shall decide but shall include a chairperson and a secretary and a treasurer. Notice of Motion 3 Amendment To: President CURRENT WORDING: The president shall: 1. Assist with Head Coach selection; Approve Assistant Coach(es) that are presented by the Head Coach 2. Send out invitations to the fall camp for the team. 3. Book ice time for the fall camp and required ice for the season 4. Accept names and along with the Head Coach organize the players for the camp 5. Organize and purchase game and practice jerseys as required. 6. Attend Yellowhead Regional meetings (September, December, & April) 7. Attend AAA midget league meetings (Spring, Summer & Winter) 8. Tentatively Book Transportation & Accommodations for the season (Rough not exact) 9. Develop along with the Head Coach the schedule for the year 10. Oversee team operation until final selections are made (Southwest Tournament) 11. Chair the first Parent Meeting after team is picked and outline the Parent Committees along with budget for the year. 12. Act as a liaison between; a) Parent Committee & Coaches b) Yellowhead Region & Team 13. Help promote the program.

PROPOSED WORDING: 4.0 The Manager The Manager shall be responsible for the following duties: 4.1 In cooperation with the Regional Director send out invitations to the fall camp for the team, accept registrations and organize players for the fall evaluation selection camp. 4.2 Book ice time for the fall camp and required ice for the season 4.3 Organize and or delegate the purchase of game and practice jerseys as required. 4.4 Attend Yellowhead Regional meetings (September, December, & April) 4.5 Attend AAA midget league meetings (Spring and Summer) 4.6 Tentatively Book Transportation & Accommodations for the season during the off season. 4.7 Develop along with the Head Coach the schedule for the year 4.8 Oversee team operation until final player selections are made 4.9 Chair the first Parent Meeting after team is picked and outline the Parent Committees along with budget for the year. 4.10 Be liaison between Parent Committee & Coaches, Yellowhead Region and the Team 4.11 Help promote the program 4.12 Ensure day to day operations of team are carried out 4.13 Finalize transportation and accommodation for players and team officials once the season has begun 4.14 Ensure Itinerary and trip details are communicated to parent group 4.15 Ensure all invoices are sent to treasurer for payment 4.16 Ensure that all concerns be submitted in writing from parties and refer them to the Parent Committee Executive 4.17 Ensure that game sheets for each game are complete and email results to league and media as required by the league office 4.18 Ensure contact with league is timely and accurate for statistics, fines and suspensions 4.19 Attend Parent committee meetings 4.20 Obtain Criminal Record checks for all team staff annually. Player and Parent concerns regarding the operation of the hockey club are to be made to the head of the parent committee, in writing, with a copy sent to the regional Rep. 10. Parent Committee to render decision in writing to complaint. Decision may be appealed, in writing, to Regional Director. PROPOSED WORDING: 5.0 The Parent Committee The parent committee shall be responsible for the operations of the hockey club to the duration of the season as outlined in the Yellowhead Chiefs Parent Manual.
