Jordan Luplow hit a pair of home runs off southpaw Ryan Carpenter, accounting for all five of Indy's runs, but Mikie Mahtook and Jim Adduci homers helped the Mud Hens overcome Luplow's career day at the plate. Tribe hurler Austin Coley took no decision after yielding five runs in five innings pitched, and Tyler Jones suffered his first loss with Indy after allowing two runs on three doubles in the bottom of the seventh. Luplow represented the go-ahead run at the plate with two outs in the ninth, but he flied out to right field, dropping Indy to - in games where they've sought a third consecutive win. OFF AND RUNNING: Through Indy's first games of the season, opponents owned a 9- run advantage in the first inning against the Tribe. On the past six-game road trip, Indy hung a crooked number in the first inning five times, scoring two, three, four (x) and five runs. WELCOME BACK, JOEY BATS: Gwinnett third baseman Jose Bautista, 37, returns to Victory Field, where he spent parts of his, '6 and '8 campaigns. SHOW AND TELL: Tribe outfielder Jordan Luplow cranked his first two long balls of 8 in yesterday's 7- loss at Toledo. Luplow totaled 6 home runs between Double-A Altoona (6), Indy (7) and Pittsburgh (3) last year. It marked the fourth two-homer game of his career and first since May 9, 7 with Altoona at Erie. His five-rbi performance was also a career high, eclipsing his previous single-game RBI high of four set on Aug., with Low-A West Virginia at Hickory. LEAN ON CB: Christopher Bostick is riding a season-high six-game hitting streak entering play tonight. He has hit.39 (9- for-3) with five doubles and four RBI during the stretch, including back-to-back two-double games to close out the series at Toledo.
