Johnson Director at Large: Robert Gibbs General Counsel: Marshall Medlin SASBA South Central Dir: Jim Kimg Rick Minier and Xeno Garcia out lasted Jim Stephens and Chris Johnson to win the Ebonite Senior Tour s Member- Guest Doubles Tournament in Dallas. Minier and Garcia were the qualifying leaders. Fred Barnes and Eric Traylor finished third, Mike Fleming and Mark Burkenbine fourth, and Gary Dickinson and Todd Zinner finished fifth. Thanks to Ebonite for donating two XXXCEL balls; one to the first out in the sweeper (Robert Grigsby) and one to the first out in the tournament, (Les Burnham). Linds Shoe Company has joined us. They will sponsor our skills challenge and Summerville T o u r n a m e n t, a n d Sweeper. The shoes for the sweeper will go to a bowler not cashing by draw. This time the shoes were won by Bob Maxfield. The other pair will go to the first out in the tournament, this time it was Don Ratliff. Thanks to Jim King for negotiating the deal. Jamie s Tournament Notes There was a triple dog of the week, awarded for low game of the tournament a 148 rolled by Mike Holland, Mike Monticue, and Truman Kennemer. Three hundreds were rolled by Eric Traylor, Joe Lecroy, Aric Alcarez, and Chuck Pierce. Jim King had a CP. New member Ron Boroff made the finals in his first try. Mike Fleming did not win. Ronnie Diamond finished, barely. Gary Dickinson missed more spares than his partner Todd Zinner, a first. Stan is doing good. We saw Steve McBride, and he is doing good too. BOB Freehauf s partner s bal NEVER hooked. He makes John Woessner look like a cranker. Butch Calvert was back after his fall from a trampoline. Bob Freehauf won the sweeper, two in a row.
