Nestled in the heart of Birmingham City Centre there is an urban oasis, away from the hustle and bustle of the city; Edgbaston reservoir is a nature reserve and this is where Edgbaston Watersports provide top quality tuition. Whether you are looking to experience a sport for the very first time or refine your skills we can provide a tailor made experience for you. We are a registered not-for-profit business, this means that where a profit is made then this is reinvested back into the business and in lots of cases this is used to provide sessions to disadvantaged groups. Stand Up Paddleboarding Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) is a great way to get out on the water, our sessions will have you standing up in no time and exploring your surroundings. Taster Session - 1.5hrs Every Tuesday evening between April & October On this session we will get you up and standing and taking a paddle around the reservoir. The taster very quickly covers basic skills that can be developed further on the Ready to Ride course. 21 BSUPA Level 1 Ready to Ride Course 13th March, 10th April, 8th May, 5th June, 10th July, 14th August & 11th September - 1:30-4:00pm An ideal chance to learn to learn and refine technical skills that will have you paddling more efficiently and looking smoother. 40 SUP into the city By arrangement Grab some friends or family together and head off into the city along the canals and see it from a different perspective. Minimum of 4 people. 3 hours 40

Paddlesport Whether the objective is to get on the water with family or to set you up for a future of running white water; our courses will get you off to the best possible start. Taster Session - 2hrs Kayak - 20th February, 19th March, 16th April, 18th June, 16th July, 20th August, 17th September & 22nd October 9:00-11:00 Canoe - 14th May, 9th July & 10th September - 9:00-11:00 21 Learn to Canoe & Kayak - 1 star award 9th April, 2nd July & 1st October - 9:30-5:00pm Come and join us for a challenging and fun course, we will teach you how to paddle and more importantly stay dry! Using short journeys on the reservoir and tasks we will get you competant. 80 River Trips on the River Severn 3rd April, 13th August & 24th September - 9:30-5:00pm Join us on a cruise down the River Severn, no previous canoeing experience is necessary. 80

Windsurfing The feeling of speeding along just inches from the water s surface is second to none, our modular learn to windsurf courses form the building bricks that will provide you with a firm foundation of skills. Taster Session - 2hr 6th March, 24th April, 26th June, 21st August & 30th October - 9:00-11:00 21 Start Windsurfing PART A - 12th March, 4th June, 6th August, 8th October PART B - 13th March, 5th June, 7th August, 9th October Our 2 part RYA Start Windsurfing course allows flexibility around your busy schedule and will get you up and sailing confidently in light winds. We ll even show you how to get back to safety. 80 per day Intermediate (Non-planing) 13/14th February, 5/6th November Taking the Start Windsurfing course to the next level, this course fine tunes your skills making you look smoother and go faster. 160

Sailing As a Royal Yachting Association approved training centre we provide a wide range of sailing courses that will take you from your first time sailing through to being a competent sailor on inland waters. Taster Session - 2hr 28th February, 17th April, 8th May, 19th June, 17th July, 21st August, 18th September & 23rd October - 1:30-3:30pm 21 Level 1 - Start Sailing 12/13th March, 14/15th May, 23/24th July, 3/4th September Learn to sail in all directions and experience sailing different boats. Level 2 - Basic Skills 9/10th April, 21/22nd May & 13/14th August 160 Sailing with Spinnakers 20/21st February 160 160 Level 3 - Better Sailing 1/2nd October Start Racing 8/9th October 160 160

Powerboating RIBS and sports boats are fun, fast and relatively affordable powerboats that deliver a wide range of appeal. We will teach you the skills to get you off to the safest possible start and get you into safe habits right from the start. Inland RYA Level 1 & 2 5/6th March, 21/22nd May, 16/17th July & 19/20th November The starting point for new drivers, the combined level 1 and 2 course covers launching and recovery of the powerboat, boat handling, anchoring and man overboard along with the theory to back it all up. 250 Also available by arrangement for individuals and groups of up to 3 Inland RYA Safety Boat 2/3rd April This course introduces the techniques used in powerboats escorting racing fleets of dinghies and windsurfers, providing safety and rescue cover for training fleets. The course also discusses the rescue of canoes, kayaks and kite surfers. 250

Parties Celebrate that special occasion this year by doing something different. Whether you are turning 8 or 80 we can provide you with a party event that will be remembered for years to come. Children s Party- 2hr Dates to suit Choose from Canoeing, Kayaking, Stand Up Paddleboarding, Archery, Bushcraft or Raftbuilding. Minimum number of participants is 8 including 1 free adult place. Junior Academies In learning environments that are based solely on fun, our academies provide an ideal opportunity to meet new friends and develop their skills. The academies are for both beginners and those who have already experienced the sport, we work through the national governing bodies youth schemes and where youngsters wish we will support them to competitive levels. Windsurfing Academy (11-18yrs) Every Monday evening from 4:30-6:30 between Easter & October Paddlesport Academy (7-18yrs) Every Tuesday evening from 4:30-6:30 between Easter & October Sailing Academy (8-18yrs) Every Thursday evening from 4:30-6:30 between Easter & October Adventure Club (7-18yrs) Running alongside the academies the adventure club provides opportunities several times a year to experience outdoor activities like climbing, archery, bushcraft and fencing. The academies are independent clubs and session fees are subsidised at 5. Annual membership costs 10 per club.

School Holidays Finding things to do with the children during the school holidays is always hard to do; our Ofsted registered play scheme will keep the children busy and active. Easter Holiday 29th March - 8th April Activities during this week will be dependant on the weather but we ll aim to get on the water as much as we can Whitsun Half Term 31st May - 3rd June It s all about the water for Whitsun were we start to look more at skills Summer Holidays 18th July - 2nd September (excluding 1st-5th August) During the summer holidays we provide a varied programme. NEW for this year we plan to offer climbing and bushcraft courses. October Half Term Monday 24th - Friday 28th October A mix of one land activity and one water activity per day All days cost 19.50 for 10:00-4:00 or 24.50 for 8:30-5:30

Private Tuition If you can t make one of our standard courses or prefer to be taught in a 1 to 1 environment, this is for you. Tuition on a one to one basis, just you and an instructor, is greatly accelerated and qualifications can be achieved quicker. Standard Prices 1 hour - 35 2.5 hours - 80 5 hours - 150 Fast track and direct entry courses The required duration of these courses will be assessed during the booking process. Direct entry assessments are great if you have lots of experience but no formal qualifications, we conduct a thorough assessment of your skills and providing they meet the necessary levels we will award the qualification. Go Canoeing City Tour Dates: 5th June, 5th June & 23rd July Your chance to get a water s eye view of the city centre; this trip which is led by qualified instructors will take you through the quiet back waters into the hustle and bustle of Brindley Place and return. The surrounding buildings are rich in history and the water provides ideal views for the newer buildings. Price: 35 per person Discounts available for group bookings of 3+ River Tour Dates: 3rd April & 13th August Join us for a cruise down the river Severn, starting at Upper Arley we will travel downstream along the river experiencing the wildlife and taking on the small rapids along the trip. Suitable for all abilities, includes transport from Edgbaston Watersports. Price: 80 per person Discounts available for group bookings of 3+

Groups It doesn t matter whether it s 8 or 250 people in your group - we can accommodate you. We regularly work with groups from 5 to 75 years old, whether it s part of a school trip or a work gathering we can provide it. We offer 2 hour sessions in any of the activities we provide which are listed below.
