Juridiction This event will be held under the Rally General Competition Rules of the Canadian Association of Rallysport (CARS), the current CARS Rally Regulations, the rally regulations of RallySport Ontario (RSO), the rally regulations of Rallye Sport Québec (RSQ), the rally regulations of the Eastern Canadian Rallye Championship (ECRC) as well as these supplementary regulations. Type of event Rallye Défi is a performance rally of 650.01 kilometers (381.22 km for the regional event), with 206.84 km of special stages (128.10 km for the RSQ and OPRC). Special stages will be run on pavement, gravel and sand roads. There is a reseeding (see 19.C) on Friday after the last special stage and cars will leave the service area in Montpellier on Saturday morning in reseeded order. Special stage in Montpellier( 4km) is mostly paved (for a total of 8 km). The schedule allows for changing to and from pavement tires. Regional teams (see separate supplementary regulations) will run all stages on Saturday only. They will start after the national teams from the service area in Montpellier.

8. Area Longitude: 74-00 75-30 Latitude: 45-48 46-18 Altitude: 750 to 1300 meters No maps are required for the event. 9. Entries Registration opens on June 25, 2018. Entries will be accepted until Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 21h00. There is no maximum of cars accepted. Eligible vehicles The following classes will be eligible to take the start: Open 4 WD Open 2 WD Production 4 WD Production 2 WD 10. Entry Fees CAN US National $1200 $ 1100 National and RSQ $1200 $ 1100 National and OPRC $1300 $ 1150 RSQ only or OPRC only $ 800 $ 700 (see separate supplementary regulations) Included in the fee is a $120 CDN public liability insurance and accidental death and dismemberment levy for insurance coverage during special stages. Fee includes: Service book and 2 tickets to the banquet. Additional ticket: $30 CDN or $30 US. NOTICE : All competitors can purchase extra tickets for the banquet up to the closing of headquarters on Friday night. Tickets may be available at the finish in Ripon through the person in charge of registration. Payment via Interac e-transfer is accepted. Please use this email = info@rallyedefi.com All cheques or money orders must be made to CLUB AUTO SPORT DEFI INC. There will be a $200 CDN (National championship) or $100 CDN (RSQ/OPRC) penalty for late entries received after August 27, 2018. Post-dated cheques after August 27, 2018 will be refused. Your entry will be confirmed by your cheque. NSF cheques must be replaced prior to the start with the addition of a $100 CDN penalty. Entries must be sent to BGilles Lacroix. Note: 100% of the entry fee will be refunded if notice of withdrawal is given before Monday September 3, 2018 at 10h00 (EDT). There will be a 75% refund if notice is given before 18h00 on Wednesday September 5, 2018. After 18h00 on Wednesday September 5, 2018, no refund will be made. 11. Awards Trophies and awards will be posted at the rally on Wednesday, September 5, 2018. 12. Documentation You must complete and sign: The rally registration form The rally waiver The registration and Technical Inspection Self-Declaration 13. Eligibility As per CARS regulations, verification of the vehicule eligibility may be done at srutineering, during the event, and/or post rally. The vehicules will be classed in accordance with the CARS National Rally

Regulations for the national event and ECRC, and the RSO and RSQ Regulations (for regional event). The competitors must have valid licences and respect all rules and regulations. 14. Timing and Scoring Timing, Controls and Scoring will be as per NRR - 15, 16 and 17. Timing cards will be used. At controls identified in the route book as collecting points, competitors will give the marshall the timing card and will use the next one. All times given will be elapsed times. To calculate the time out at the end of a stage, the competitor will use the long time, unless the time spent in the stage is longer. If this should happen, the competitor will use the time in at finish in hours and minutes. Judges of fact In addition to GCR 6.3 which outlines both Judges of Fact and what they may judge, arrival time in a control zone and speed registered on a radar gun will also be facts that may be judged. 16. Vehicle advertising Competitors must display on their vehicles the CARS identification materials (numbers, door panels, windshield banner and Motul sponsor decals which will be available at registration) as well as event decals as provided by the organizers.refusal will entail exclusion from the event. 17. Fuel Stops and Servicing The service route book will allow you to plan service. It includes a chart showing the total distance and stage distance run before each service or gas stop. The distance between gas stops will not exceed 116 kilometers. An optional gas stop ONLY will be allowed between stages #1 and #2. Once the service park will be open, all refueling must be done in the re-fuelling zone. Fuel containers must not be left in the re-fuelling zone over-night. Except for conditions accouted for in NRR 18.1.8.1, Servicing is limited to designated service areas only. Competition vehicles, once checked into the main time control at the end of leg A may not leave the service park until 07H00 Saturday. The service park from 22H00 to 07H00 will be treated like a parc fermé and any repair, assistance or refuelling is strictly forbidden with the penalty for any violation as per NRR 16.8.4 (exclusion). 18. Parc Fermé Inspection Any car finishing the rally in the top three positions of any championship (national or regional or in class) may be inspected if deemed necessary. Reassembling the removed parts will be the competitors responsibility. 19. Miscellaneous a) We will use HAM radio system. If you know someone who is a ham radio licensed operator would be interested in volunteering, the radio club and the event would welcome their participation. The radio net will operate in either or both English /French. Uni-lingual speakers would be welcome. b) Distances in the route book will be given in kilometers, and in kilometers and miles in the service book.

c) Reseeding (after leg A first day)(after leg B second day) will be based on the results from the stages. The new starting order will be established based on the total of all stages, minus the worst result. In case of a tie, total time will be the deciding factor. The new starting order for each leg will be posted at Rally HQ as soon as possible after the arrival of last competitor. d) Rally Lodging of Rallye Défi 2018: If you have any question concerning this issue, please get in touch with the person in charge at hebergement@rallyedefi.com e) All information about lodging on our website at www.rallydefi.com under lodging and especially under www.lodging-quebec.com f) The event will be filmed. 20. RECCE (NATIONAL and REGIONAL) All teams entering the event may enter the RECCE, no matter if they are registered as national or regional teams (see separate Regional Supplementary Regulations for regional entries). Please take note that we are providing a basic format route book with major change of direction. RECCE is available for crews to create Stages Notes that provide a detailed description of the stages (NRR 14.2), as we will be providing a smaller sized and basic format route book (NRR 13.3.9.d) that show only major changes of direction. Finally, you are allowed to copy notes (part or all of them) from another team. 20.1 Procedure for registration Competitors must register at rally on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 18h00 to 21h00 to obtain documents required to do the RECCE. 20.2 Schedule RECCE must be carried out in compliance with the timetable in the program. Breach of this regulation will result in refusal to start the rally. Schedule (please refer to schedule at paragraph 6): 07h00 to 09h00 RECCE stages Crique-à-la-Roche + Elmitt-Chevreuill 08h45 to 11h45 RECCE stages Montpellier + Mulgrave-Derry + Jarnac + Labelle- Robinson + St-Sixte 13h00 to 16h00 RECCE stages Chemin des Douze + St-Émile 17h00 to 18h00 RECCE stage Carrière Lirette 20.3 Specific restrictions 20.3.1 The maximum speed of 60 kph or the posted legal limit, if lower, is imposed on all special stages during RECCE. Competitors are reminded that these roads will be open to the public and competitors should expect on-coming traffic. 20.3.2 The fitting and carrying of radar detection equipment during RECCE is not permitted. 20.3.3 Breach of Article NRR 13.6.12 about RECCE maximum speed, car usage and radar detection will be penalized as follows: First Infringement: Fine $ 150 Second Infringement: Fine $ 300 plus first infringement Third Infringement: Start refused plus second infringement and full forfeiture of entry fees. Observation controls will be used to verify compliance with 20.3.1 20.3.4 Competitors will be issued with a RECCE card Wednesday, September 5 from 18h00 to 21h00, which must be carried in the car for the duration of the RECCE. This card will be stamped appropriately recording every run on each special stage. Failure to produce this card will result in refusal to participate in the reconnaissance. 20.3.5 Competitors will be issued reconnaissance numbers that will be fixed to the outside of the rear side windows of the car. Failure to mount these numbers correctly or not displaying them will result in refusal to participate in the RECCE. 20.3.6 Competition vehicules may not be used for reconnaissance. Competitors must use a street licensed, unmarked vehicle. 20.3.7 Provision is made for a maximum of two passages through each special stage for each entered crew during the RECCE. The crews are not allowed to drive counter-rally on the special stages, unless given particular directions to do so by the organizer, his representative or the police. 21. Podium According to NRR 21.10, there will be two podiums at the end of the rally (overall and 2WD) each for the CRC and a combined ERCR podium for the RSQ and OPRC events.
