END OF SEASON INFORMATION Reno Aces (76-68, 2nd, Pacific Northern Division) Division Standings: The Aces finished the 2016 season with a record of 76-68, good for second place in the Pacific Northern Division. They spent the following number of days alone or tied at each position in the standings: First - 3, Second - 102, Third - 42, Fourth - 3. Transcending Transactions: Over the course of the 2016 campaign, the Reno Aces, in conjunction with the Arizona Diamondbacks, made a franchiserecord 205 transactions. The previous transactions record was 182, set in 2015. This high volume of roster moves led to... 71 Players: A franchise-record 71 players suited up and played for the Aces this summer. A total of 28 position players took the field, while 43 different pitchers toed the rubber for Reno. Three of the 28 position players also worked in relief, resulting in a franchise-record 46 players to have thrown a pitch for the Aces in 2016. On the Mend: Of the 71 men to have played for the Aces this year, eight appeared on rehab assignments, including: OF Sócrates Brito, LHP Andrew Chafin, RHP Josh Collmenter, RHP Zack Greinke, C/OF Chris Herrmann, INF/OF Chris Owings, OF David Peralta (two times) and OF A.J. Pollock. The five at the dish combined to bat.313 (31-for-99) with 2 home runs, 1 triple, 10 doubles, 19 RBI and 22 runs scored. The trio of pitchers posted a combined record of 0-2 with a 5.14 ERA (8 ER/14.0 IP) and 12 strikeouts. Opening Day Shutout: For the first time in franchise history, the Aces opened a season with a shutout victory over their opponent. On April 7 at Greater Nevada Field, Reno blanked eventual Pacific Coast League Champion El Paso, 8-0, behind six two-hit innings from Archie Bradley. Dominic Leone worked the seventh and eighth innings, scattering three hits with two strikeouts before Cody Hall closed it out with a scoreless frame in the ninth. The Aces clubbed 10 hits, including a 3-for-4 performance by Jack Reinheimer in his Triple-A debut. The Aces shortstop homered and drove in a career-high-tying four RBI in the win. Reno improved to 5-3 overall in its season openers. Last Regular-Season Game, No Longer Perfect: The Aces perfect mark of 7-0 on the final game of the regular season vanished with a 5-3 loss to cap the 2016 season at Tacoma. NEVIN S THIRD SEASON The Aces were under the direction of manager Phil Nevin for a third consecutive season. In his first season with the Aces, he guided them to a franchise-tying-best record of 81-63. His squad won the Pacific Northern Division and Pacific Conference Championship Series before falling 3 games to 2 in the PCL Championship Series to Omaha. Last year, his Aces finished third in the Pacific Northern Division with a 70-74 record, including a 40-32 mark at Greater Nevada Field. This year, his team compiled a 76-68 record and second-place finish in the division, leaving him with an overall mark of 227-205 (.525) with Reno. Prior to his stint with the Aces, Nevin spent three seasons (2011-13) at the helm of the Toledo Mud Hens in the International League. Nevin is the second manager in club history as Brett Butler served in the role from 2009-2013. Muscle Up: The 2016 Aces hit 140 home runs, the second-highest total in franchise history behind the 2011 squad who blasted 178 long balls. The 140 home runs marked a fourth consecutive year with a higher dinger total than the previous season (2012-116; 2013-124; 2014-127; 2015-138). Home Run Quartet: Kyle Jensen (30), Peter O Brien (24), Mitch Haniger (20) and Carlos Rivero (19) combined for 66.4% (93-of-140) of the Aces homers in 2016. The 93 home runs were the most hit by a quartet of teammates in Aces history. Resetting the Bar: Five Aces set personal bests for single-season home run totals in 2016, including Kyle Jensen (30 with Reno, 2 with Arizona; previous season high was 28), Mitch Haniger (20 with Reno, 5 at Double-A Mobile, 5 with Arizona; previous season high was 13), Carlos Rivero (19 with Reno; previous season high was 16), Ildemaro Vargas (4 at Mobile, 2 with Reno; previous high was 5), Dan Rohlfing (5 with Reno; previous season high was 3). D-backs Triple-A Records Rewritten: Kyle Jensen s 30 home runs matched the D-backs Triple-A single-season record set by Tucson s Ernie Young in 1999. Jensen also drove in 120 RBI, easily eclipsing the 110 driven in by Tucson s Josh Whitesell in 2008. Walk-Off Jacks: The Aces clubbed three walk-off homers in 2016, matching the 2011 squad (David Winfree, Cody Ransom and Mark Hallberg) for the most in a single season in franchise history. Peter O Brien (May 1 vs. Albuquerque, June 1 vs. Las Vegas) became the first player in team history to belt multiple walk-off dingers in a single season. His first, a solo shot in the 12th inning on May 1 against the Isotopes, marked the eighth extra-inning walk-off home run in Aces history. His second, a grand slam on June 1 against the 51s, was the third walk-off grand slam hit in franchise history (Cody Ransom - 2011; Ed Easley - 2013). Gabby Guerrero later helped the Aces split a doubleheader against El Paso with a walk-off two-run homer in the seventh inning of the nightcap, which gave the Aces an improbable... Walk-Off Cycle: In Reno s four-run seventh inning for a 6-4 comeback victory over the Chihuahuas, the Aces hit for the cycle in succession. Mitch Haniger opened the frame with a single and scored on a double by Kyle Jensen to make it 4-3. Todd Glaesmann then tripled home Jensen to tie the game before Guerrero drilled his walk-off blast into the visitor s bullpen beyond the right-field wall. No Swoon in June: The Aces posted a 17-12 record in the month of June, the ninth month in franchise history where the team racked up 17-plus victories. The staff ERA swelled to its highest point (5.49) for any single month during the 2016 campaign, meaning many of the wins were backed by a red-hot offense. The Aces scored 201 runs over 29 games in June, good for an average of 6.93 runs per game. Reno eclipsed 200-plus runs in a single month for a third time in franchise history (June 2011-204; May 2014-222). June Power Surge: The offense slugged 38 home runs during the month of June as well, their highest average (1.31 HR/Game) per game in a single month since July 2011 (1.61 HR/Game - [45 HR/28 G]). The 38 dingers in June are tied for third-most in a single month in franchise history (also: August 2014), with only May and July of 2011 having higher home run totals at 39 and 45, respectively. Kyle s June: Kyle Jensen led the Aces offense in June with 10 homers and 39 RBI. He set the Aces single-month record for RBI and tied Tucson s Brian Barden who held sole possession of the D-backs Triple-A record with 39 ribbies in July 2006. Jensen s 39 RBI marked the highest single-month total in the Pacific Coast League since Iowa s Micah Hoffpauir plated 39 runs in August 2008. Jensen s 10 long balls in the month are tied for third-most with Wily Mo Peña (May 2011) in team history. 2016 GREATER NEVADA FIELD ATTENDANCE LARGEST CROWD OPENINGS/LOST TOTAL AVERAGE 2016 SELLOUTS ALL-TIME SELLOUTS 10,520 (July 4 vs. SAC) 70/2 365,883 5,227 6 32

Blurb Game, Strong FINAL GAME INFORMATION - Page 2 #Winning in July: The Aces bested their June record of 17-12 with an 18-10 mark in July. The 18 wins was their highest win total for a single month since August 2014 when they posted a 20-10 record. August Heat: When the calendar flipped from July to August, the Aces struggled, posting a 3-10 record through the month s first 13 games. Reno rebounded by winning 11 of its next 18 games, but still finished the month with a 14-17 record. The woeful month marked the seventh month in franchise history where the Aces had 17-plus losses, and the first since August 2013 when they went 13-17. A baker s dozen of Reno s 17 losses in August were to last-place teams (3-1 vs. Memphis, 3-6 vs. Salt Lake, 2-6 vs. Sacramento). Sunday Funday: In 21 Sunday games, the Aces went an outstanding 15-6, despite losing each of their last three Sunday games by a combined four runs. In 2015, the Aces posted an 8-14 record in Sunday affairs. Own the Day: For a third consecutive season under Phil Nevin, the Aces played their best baseball in daytime contests. The Aces went 15-7 in day games and are 48-24 in day affairs during Phil Nevin s tenure as manager. Coincidentally, Nevin s best work as a Major Leaguer came in day games as well, as he hit.305 in 375 day games in the big leagues. By comparison, he hit.255 in 842 night contests. Divisional Dominance: For a sixth consecutive season and seventh time in eight years, the Aces went.500 or better against their own division. They finished 26-22 against the Pacific Northern Division, highlighted by an 11-5 mark against first-place Tacoma. In 2010, the Aces finished 22-26 in the Pacific Southern Division, their only losing campaign against their own division. Too Many Slams: The Aces pitching staff served up a league-high 10 grand slams this season, two ahead of Omaha and Salt Lake s eight surrendered. The 10 grand slams allowed were the most given up in Triple-A, and Reno finished 3-7 in games in which they allowed a grand slam. From 2012-15, Reno gave up a total of 12 salamis. Clearing the Bases: Reno hit six grand slams in 2016, including two apiece from Todd Glaesmann and Peter O Brien. Glaesmann hit Reno s first grand slam of the year on May 24 at New Orleans, and then added his second on August 17 at Memphis. O Brien s came on June 1 against Las Vegas and June 4 against Salt Lake. Kyle Jensen joined the fun with a grand slam on July 18 against Colorado Springs, and Mitch Haniger hit Reno s final slam on September 4 at Tacoma. The Aces went 5-1 in games in which they hit a grand slam. 3-for-1 Discount: The Aces turned a triple play for the first time in team history on July 24 at Cashman Field in Las Vegas. Aces third baseman Carlos Rivero stabbed a line drive off the bat of Kevin Plawecki and threw around the horn to Ildemaro Vargas and Kyle Jensen to retire Brandon Nimmo and Dilson Herrera, who were both running on the pitch. Reno was the only team to turn a triple play in the PCL in 2016. Not One, but Two Inside-the-Park Home Runs: Facing division-leader Tacoma on August 24 at Greater Nevada Field, the Aces accomplished an ultra-rare feat in their eventual 13-7 victory over the Rainiers, when both Kyle Jensen and Sócrates Brito raced around the bases for inside-the-park home runs. Jensen s occurred in the third inning, and Brito matched the feat with one of his own in the eighth inning. Lucky Nos. 11, 17, 24 and 29: The Aces went a combined 17-0 on the 11th (3-0), 17th (6-0), 24th (5-0) and 29th (3-0) days of the month. On the 30th day of the month, the Aces went 0-6, their only winless date. Last At-Bat Wins: The Aces won in their last at-bat 14 times in 2016. Zach Borenstein played a role in a team-high four of the occasions, including two against Tacoma. On August 27 at Greater Nevada Field, he ripped a pinch-hit, two-run, go-ahead triple in the eighth inning of an 8-7 win over the Rainiers. Less than a week later, he belted a solo homer in the top of the 12th inning at Cheney Stadium, leading to a 2-1 win. Seven Up: The Aces won seven consecutive games from July 16-22, falling one win shy of matching the franchise record of eight straight wins, previously done twice (July 9-19, 2011; May 4-11, 2012). Multi-Homer Mania: The Aces had 14 individual multi-homer games in 2016 to set a record for the most in a single season in franchise history. Mitch Haniger, Kyle Jensen and Peter O Brien had three apiece, Tuffy Gosewisch and Carlos Rivero posted two individually, and Dan Rohlfing added one, the first of his career. Run at Own Risk: Aces catchers combined to throw out 42.3% (55-of-130) would-be base stealers this season, the highest percentage in the PCL. Since joining the league in 2009, the Aces have finished sixth or higher in caught stealing percentage in six of eight seasons. Their highest rate came in 2014 when they posted a 46.9% caught stealing percentage, a number which also led the PCL. All-PCL Squad: For an eighth straight season, the Aces had at least one player selected to the All-PCL Team. Kyle Jensen was named as the All-PCL first baseman after hitting.289 (144-for-498) with 30 long balls, 34 doubles and 120 RBI. Blink, 1:57: On May 4 at Fresno, the Aces played the fastest nine-inning game in franchise history, taking just 1 hour and 57 minutes in a 2-0 loss to the Grizzlies. Fresno s Brady Rodgers went the distance, scattering four hits with nine strikeouts. He bested the Aces on 86 pitches, including 70 that went for strikes. Prior to the 117-minute masterpiece, the Aces quickest nine-inning game was 2 hours and 2 minutes, set on July 2, 2009 at Las Vegas, another 2-0 loss. Bradley s Beginning: Archie Bradley took the reins on Opening Night and never looked back in seven starts, posting a 5-1 record and 1.99 ERA over 40 2/3 innings, fanning 47 batters along the way. He racked up six quality starts, each of where he allowed two earned runs or less. He bookended his season in an Aces uniform with scoreless outings -- six shutout on April 7 vs. El Paso and eight scoreless on May 21 vs. Omaha. On May 3 at Fresno, he struck out a career-high-tying 11 batters in a 3-2 win over the Grizzlies. Shipley s Homecoming: Braden Shipley returned to Reno with a flourish after three successful seasons from 2011-13 with the Nevada Wolf Pack. Rated as Arizona s No. 1 prospect by MLB.com and Baseball America entering the season, Shipley lived up to the hype with an 8-5 record and 3.70 ERA in 19 starts for the Aces. He set the Aces single-season ERA record, easily breaking Matt Torra s previous low mark of 4.55, set in 2010. Shipley led the team with seven starts of 7-plus innings and three earned runs or less. Banda s Brilliance: Anthony Banda joined the Aces from Double-A Mobile on June 23 and went 4-4 with a 3.67 ERA in 13 starts. He was named Arizona s Organizational Pitcher of the Year, with his best outing being a masterpiece on August 13 at Nashville when he struck out 10 batters over six shutout innings. He fanned 36 batters in the month of August, fourth-most in a single month in franchise history. Combined with his 13 starts for the BayBears where he finished 6-2 with a 2.12 ERA, the young southpaw went 10-6 with a 2.88 ERA in 26 starts overall, including 152 strikeouts over 150 innings. Koch s Recipe: Matt Koch s first taste of Triple-A was a sweet one. After a promotion from Mobile on August 1, the 25-year-old went 4-2 with a 3.09 ERA in seven starts. He threw six-plus innings in six outings and was at his best away from home, going 3-0 with a 2.13 ERA in four road starts. He won four consecutive starts from August 14-29 and finished the month of August with 41 1/3 innings pitched, second-most for a single month in franchise history behind Matt Torra s 41 2/3 innings set in May 2010. The Incomparable Ildemaro: Ildemaro Vargas made an immediate impact for the Aces, going 6-for-13 through his first three games after a promotion from Single-A Advanced Visalia on July 17. He went on to record 23 multi-hit games in 49 starts, batting.354 (70-for- 198) with two homers, 13 doubles, 18 RBI, 35 runs scored and 13 stolen bases. His 70 knocks from July 17-end of MiLB regular season (September 5) led all of professional baseball. Bravo, Mr. Haniger: Mitch Haniger hit.341 (89-for-261) with 20 homers, three triples, 20 doubles, 64 RBI, 58 runs and eight stolen bases in 74 games for the Aces. He ranked first in extra-base hits (43), total bases (175), slugging (.670) and OPS (1.098), second in long balls and OBP (.428), tied for second in runs, fourth in average and tied for 10th in walks in Triple- A from June 10-end of MiLB regular season. He was named as Arizona s Organizational Player of the Year. #BeLikeMike: Mike Freeman recorded individual games with 5 hits, 4 RBI, 4 runs and 4 walks for the Aces this season, becoming the first Aces player to record those feats during the regular season. In 2014, Mike Jacobs notched individual games with 4 hits, 4 runs, and 4-plus RBI four times (4, 5, 5, 7) during the regular season, before adding a 4-walk performance in the postseason. Freeman ranks among Aces all-time leaders in triples (2nd - 18), games (3rd - 272), hits (3rd - 301), at-bats (3rd - 957), runs (4th - 172), total bases (5th - 403) and doubles (6th - 51). Man of the Month: Three of the five PCL Player of the Month awards were won by Aces players. Peter O Brien took home the April honor after batting.370 (30-for-81) with seven home runs and 21 RBI in 20 games. Two months later, Kyle Jensen claimed the June award after hitting.292 (33-for-113) with 10 homers and 39 RBI. Mitch Haniger followed Jensen s June with a juicy July, batting.402 (45-for-112) with 11 dingers and 35 runs batted in. All the Stars: Four Aces were named to the PCL All-Star Team, including catcher Tuffy Gosewisch, outfielder Kyle Jensen, shortstop Jack Reinheimer and right-handed pitcher Braden Shipley. Gosewisch was recalled by Arizona prior to the Triple-A Midsummer Classic, while Jensen was the lone Aces representative to start. The four All-Star bids matched the 2011 and 2012 Aces teams for most All-Star selections. Tied After Eight, Great: When tied after eight innings, the Aces posted a remarkable 9-1 record, the best in the PCL when given that situation. Free Baseball: Not only did the Aces go 9-1 when tied after eight frames, but they won six of their seven extra-inning games.
