Sectin 1 INTRODUCTION 1.1 Intrductin Precisin s wrkstatin system ffers a fresh lk in design, functinality and perfrmance, prviding a cmplete slutin fr any ffice. Fixed height, technician height adjustable and user height adjustable desking ptins are available t meet the needs f tday s dynamic ffice envirnment. Furthermre, the desk shape can be selected frm ptins f; straight, 90 degree and 120 degree t best utilise space allcatins, and encurage cmmunicatin, and cllabratin, between team members within an rganisatin. A sleek frame design ffers each ccupant increased leg rm, and incrprates multi-functin crss rails, allwing fr easy installatin r re-cnfiguratin f crss rail and desktp munted wrkstatin accessries. A lw prfile ft ensures mbile cabinets can be easily placed under all areas f each wrk surface, and incrprate adjustable glides fr leveling f wrk statins ver uneven flrs. A full range f accessries are available t persnalise each wrkspace All Precisin prducts are rbustly designed t give years f reliable service, with a minimum f maintenance requirements. This guide prvides recmmendatins t ensure that yu get the best frm yur wrkstatin. SECTION 2 WORKSTATION HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT 2.1 Crrect Wrkstatin Psitin The crrect height psitin fr yur wrkstatin depends n the nature f wrk cmpleted at yur wrk surface (i.e. cmputer based vs paper based). Ideally yur situatin shuld be assessed by a OSH r ergnmic specialist t cnsider all items f furniture within yur space As an example, the best height psitin fr yur wrkstatin, when using a cmputer, is t have yur frearms slping dwnwards t yur keybard with yur hands in a cmfrtable psitin fr typing and muse wrk 2.2 Level fting All frame ftings are installed with adjustable glides t ensure wrkstatins can be evenly installed ver uneven flrs and are free frm wbble. These will be adjusted at the time f installatin t suit the specific lcatin. 2.3 Fixed Height Wrkstatins Fixed height wrkstatin surfaces are set t a finished height f 710mm abve the flr level (AFL)and are unable t be adjusted vertically If required there is a small amunt f adjustment in the fting glides, as mentined in 2.2, but any alteratin shuld be carried ut by an authrised technician 2.4 Technician Height Adjustable Wrkstatins Technician adjustable wrkstatins are adjustable frm 580mm t 810mm AFL in increments f 20mm. Each leg is independently adjustable; hence t adjust the height f the desktp yu must adjust each leg. If adjusting the legs, be sure t apply weight t the wrktp after adjustment t ensure that the adjustment mechanism has engaged crrectly. Adjustment shuld be carried ut by an authrised technician r staff member that has had apprpriate training. Issue 1 Page 3 f 6

2.5 User Height Adjustable Wrkstatins User adjustable wrkstatins are adjustable frm 580mm t 810mm AFL using a crank handle fitted t the underside f the wrkstatin n the right hand end f the desk. FIGURE 1 The handle extends frm the underside f the wrktp and is easily wund frm a seated psitin. (Figure 1) Turn the handle Clckwise t adjust the desk up and Anti-Clckwise t adjust the desk dwn. (Figure 2) FIGURE 2 Use the height indicatr labels n the frnt edge f the legs t gauge the desired height f the desktp. It pays t take nte f this height shuld yu change wrkstatins. Retract the handle nce yu have cmpleted the adjustment by turning the handle t a parallel rientatin with the desktp. (Figure 3) FIGURE 3 SECTION 3 ACCESSORY ADJUSTMENT 3.1 Shelf and Accessry Panel The Desk Munted Shelves and Accessry Panels are easily adjusted and re-psitined by users withut specialty tls. FIGURE 1 The accessries are clamped t the wrktp, generally, n the back edge using the screw clamps, Figure 1. It is imprtant that the screw clamp has a flat surface t clamp nt bth n the tp and the bttm. Issue 1 Page 4 f 6

3.2 Accessry Panel Shelves and Trays The Accessry Panels have a range f shelves and paper trays that are easily fitted and re-psitined by users withut tls. As shwn in Figure 2, belw, the shelves are fitted t the accessry panel by fitting the shelf int the panel slts at the desired height in an upright psitin. Then lwer the shelf ensuring that the hks n the back f the shelf are prperly engaged with the slts. When fitting the shelves r paper trays ensure that yu wrk frm the bttm up, hence fit the shelf r tray that yu wish t have at the bttm first. FIGURE 2 3.3 Shelf Dividers Adjustable dividers are prvided with all Desk Munted shelves and Accessry Panel shelves. FIGURE 3 As shwn in Figure 3, belw, the dividers are fitted t the shelf by engaging the hk end f the divider with the rail at the back f the shelf and then lwering the divider until it sits flat n the shelf. T adjust the divider, lift it up until the divider cmes lse enugh t slide it up and dwn the rail, and then lwer again t lck it int place. Accessry panel shelves need t have the dividers remved befre they can be fitted r repsitined. Issue 1 Page 5 f 6

Sectin 3 CARE AND MAINTENANCE 3.1 Rutine Inspectins The system shuld require little r n maintenance. It is recmmended, hwever, that peridic inspectins are carried ut t ensure the wrkstatin and accessries are free f damaged cmpnents and all mechanical fixings are tight and secure. Check the wrkstatin is sitting level and adjust feet if required. 3.2 General Care The wrkstatin unit shuld have a peridic clean ut and a dusting using a sft clth and a nnabrasive, nn slvent based cleaning agent. Shuld the unit need cleaning, either as part f a rutine, r as a result f a spillage, the fllwing guidelines shuld be bserved. The clean shuld cmprise f a wipe dwn with a damp clth, using (if required) a mild detergent. NEVER use a hse t spray the shelving NEVER use abrasive r caustic cleaning agents 3.3 Individual Item Cleaning and Care 3.3.1 Pwder-cated Surfaces Check pwder-cat finish fr chips r damage, and repair r replace cmpnents as necessary. Clean pwder-cated surfaces with a sft damp clth. DO NOT use ther cleaning prducts. 3.3.2 LPL Surfaces Check LPL surface fr chips r damage, and repair r replace cmpnents as necessary. Fabric Surface Refer t the fabric manufactures instructins, a firm plastic brush with aid with remval f surface dirt. 3.4 General Maintenance Checks 3.4.1 Height Adjustment (where applicable) Adjust the wrkstatin height frm it lwest pint t highest pint while checking fr any nises r increased frictin in the peratin. Any faults in the peratin, please cntact yur Precisin representative fr further assiatance. 3.4.2 Shelves Overlading f shelves may cause permanent deflectin; these must be REPLACED immediately 3.3.3 Accessries Check that all accessries are fitting crrectly.
