September & October 2018 St. Cloud Area With Kix, Stcloud_mn@justforkix.com arista@justforkix.com 218-454-1438 (Direct Line) 320-251-9104 (Studio Line) NEED TO KNOW Dance Attire Please follow the dress code sheet that was emailed out and also available on our website under News & Events. Proper dance attire allows our staff to correct alignment and see your dancer s lines, which is an integral part of dance technique. Hair must be in a bun and pulled back off the face so that dancers are developing proper habits. Thank you for having your dancer prepared! Early is On Time - On Time is Late Just For Kix classes start on time! Put forth your best effort to come prepared and ready to dance! Every dancer is needed from COUNT ONE to make it an effective and organized practice or performance. Attendance Make practices and performances a priority - your class and team depend on you! If you are absent, meet with a friend to learn the material BEFORE the next class. If you know that you will be absent on the day of a performance, please inform the instructor in advance so they can rework formations at class if needed. Dancers who are not at class the week before a performance, will not be able to participate in the performance. Parking Please use our parking lot to park and wait for dancers. At busy times, parking on the road is permitted. The front of the building is for dropping and picking up only (no parking and waiting). Thank you! Messes, Theft & Vandalism We hope you and your family find our studio a warm environment to hang out. Thank you for treating it as you would a treasured possession; we want it to stay beautiful for years to come. Please treat the practice and performance spaces as they were your own! We are judged by the actions of a few; therefore; Just For Kix has no tolerance for disrespecting others belongings or property. We recommend leaving valuables at home. Supervision Dancers are only supervised during their regular class time. Although we may have several classes going on before and after your dancers class time, it will be your responsibility to watch your children. Siblings in the lobby also need to be supervised. Please no running, slamming dressing room doors or interfering with other parents trying to view their child s class. We Offer a No Distraction Environment Over the years, we have found the most productive way to run classes is without distraction of parents, siblings or friends in the studio. We only have a short time each week, so every minute is important. Occasionally we will allow spectators in the last five minutes of class so you can see the progress we are making. We also have a parent viewing area outside each studio if you wish to stay for the full class. Website https://www.justforkix.com/danceclasses/st-cloud-areamn/ This is the most important tool we utilize. Please save this to your internet browser. Our website will be utilized to pay your monthly bill, order your costumes, and will serve as a tool to view all of our important handouts and information needed for the season. All newsletters and other important information that is emailed out can always be found on our program website. When you are logged into your account, click on the MY PROGRAM WEBSITE icon in the left hand corner of the page. This will bring you to the latest news you need to know! Newsletters We are paperless! All newsletters and other important information will be distributed via email and can be accessed electronically by using our website. To access our newsletters, login to your account, click on MY PROGRAM WEBSITE, then click on the NEWS & EVENTS. Important documents will be listed in chronological order. There is also a search bar you can utilize to look up things more quickly! Email We will send out regular e-mails throughout the season with reminders and general information. Please make sure we have your most current e-mail address on file. We can add up to 2 email addresses per dancer. Email Brittney or let the office staff know if you d like to add an additional email address to your account. If you have a spam blocker, e-mails from Just For Kix may be bounced back. It s important that you read through entire emails sent out to ensure you are well informed with the various program updates. Communication Email or direct phone calls are the preferred method of communication. Text messages, Facebook messages, pulling us out of class or other forms of communication are not recommended and is not guaranteed to get a prompt response back.

POTENTIAL ADDED COSTS Here is a glance at additional costs that may be incurred throughout the season: Performance admission JFK Together We Dance competition fees & admission Show Admission Prop Fees Pictures Special Session Fees Show tshirts St. Cloud JFK Custom Apparel CURRICULUM Our goal throughout our dance program is two-fold: 1. To teach dancers proper technique and to develop the strength and flexibility to perform these skills. 2. To introduce choreography and to work on movement and performing. Younger classes will be more choreography-based and will learn 3-4 routines per season. Older dancers will have more emphasis on flexibility, strength, skill work and performance. They will generally learn 1-2 routines per season. TUITION Show October 26 th Our tuition is based on a yearly rate for 36 classes All payments must be paid online before the 1 st of each month. We are not allowed to accept cash or checks at the studio for class payments. You may mail a check into the home office or call the home office by phone to make a payment. These payments but be received by the home office before the 1 st of the month. A $10.00 late fee is assessed to late payments. If a monthly payment is more than 1 week late, dancers may be asked to sit out from class until their account is up to date. Any NSF or stopped payment checks made payable to Just For Kix will be charged $20.00 service fee per check. Student accounts are ALWAYS required to be current prior to any performance or competition. Any student with a balance due will not be eligible to perform with their team. All Preschool 3 rd grade dancers listed below will be performing at our Annual Show at our Just For Kix dance studio in Sartell. This year we will be holding three shows to accommodate all spectators. Please note that space is limited so we recommend waiting to invite extended family until the winter show. This is a great performance opportunity early in the season to get dancers adjusted to performing in front of a crowd. There will be a small admission fee of $2/person (5 & under free) for this event to help cover the cost of the show (1 admission for all 3 shows). Specific costume information will be emailed out and posted online as the event gets closer.
