HEALTH & SAFETY All exhibitors should comply with the requirements set out in the Health and Safety Policy, organisation and arrangements of the Poynton Horticultural & Agricultural Society. Copies of this policy may be obtained from the Society Secretary and will be displayed in the Show Office prior to and during the Show. Specifically, all exhibitors, trade stand occupiers and entertainment & catering providers are required to maintain their exhibits/areas in such a manner so as to comply with current Health and Safety Regulations and guidance, and to ensure that their activities do not endanger themselves, other exhibitors or members of the general public. Further specific advice and guidance is available via the Show s Honorary Health and Safety Officer, who may be contacted via the Show Office.

Poynton Horticultural & Agricultural Society Founded 1885 RULES 1. Entries close on Tuesday, 21 st August. Any entry received after the closing date will be returned to sender. 3. No entry fee refunded unless request accompanied by a Doctors or Vets Certificate and Entry/Vehicle Passes returned to the Show Office. 4. Class numbers may be limited, in which case entries will be taken in order of arrival. 5. The organisers reserve the right to set a standard if necessary. 6. All riders must wear protective headgear properly fastened when jumping in the arena, practice area or collecting ring and at all times on the Show Ground. 7. Riders will not be allowed to compete if incorrectly dressed or at the discretion of the judge. 8. Any rider seen galloping, riding in a dangerous manner, riding in a Public Walkway or riding other than in approved areas may be disqualified from all classes and be asked to leave the Showground. 9. THE COMMITTEE CANNOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CLASHING OF CLASSES AND COMPETITORS SHOULD BARE THIS IN MIND WHEN MAKING THEIR ENTRIES. 10. The onus will be on the competitor to be at his/her class on time. The Committee cannot be responsible for competitors who miss their class whatever the reason. 11. Admission tickets admit one competitor and driver only, plus one vehicle pass per horse box. All other cars/people will be charged admittance. 12. The judges decision is final. 13. A self-addressed and stamped envelope must be enclosed with all entries. 14. Stallions & colts are to be handled by competitors 16 years and over on the day of the show and should be shown in a bridle. This includes 2, 3 year olds. Exhibitors are reminded that any Veterinary Fee incurred during the Show are the responsibility of the owner and will not be the responsibility of the Show Committee.
SPECIAL NOTICE All Equestrian traffic will enter the Show Ground via the Anglesey Drive entrance and must display the appropriate Equestrian Vehicle Pass. AND PARK AS AND WHERE DIRECTED No vehicle will be allowed on the Show Ground unless displaying an appropriate vehicle pass. Competitors are asked to be on the ground in good time for their class. START TIMES: RING 1 9.00am - JUMPING RING 2 9.30am - EQUITATION RING 3 9.30am - NOVELTY & SHOWING RING 4 9.00am - CLEAR ROUND JUMPING The Society s Veterinary Surgeons are on call throughout the Show. Entries after closing date will be charged on the day rate of 8.00. ENTRY FEES: 1 st Entry will be 12.00 + 3 compulsary First Aid fee. This entitles the competitor to 1 st Class entry + 2 Tickets + 1 Car Park pass. 2 nd Entry priced at 6.00 per class before the day or 8.00 per class on the day. If you have already entered prior to the day you may enter more classes on the day with Michelle Jackson or Emma Jackson.
