Two-time All-America golfer Mike Sposa was picked for the 1991 Walker Cup team. Sposa played in three of the four matches and won two. Former Vol Dick von Tacky was a member of the 1981 team. In 2009, Chris Paisley participated in the Walker Cup for the GB&I squad. Gallagher captured five PGA Tour victories including the 1993 Tour Championship. He played on the 1994 President s Cup team (3-1) and also was a member of the 1993 Ryder Cup team when he defeated Seve Ballesteros to seal the U.S. victory.
