PAGEANTS OF EAST TEXAS presents the MISS FOREST FESTIVAL PAGEANT and LITTLE MR. TIMBERJACK CONTEST September 14, 2013 Come join in the excitement of the Miss Forest Festival and Mr. Timberjack Pageant. The pageant will be held September 14, 2013 at Pineywoods Community Academy Auditorium at 602 S. Raguet Street, Lufkin, TX 74904. MISS DIVISIONS TIMBERJACK DIVISIONS 1-12 months Infant Miss 1-12 month Baby Timberjack 13-23 months Toddler Miss 13-23 months Tiny Timberjack 2 years Tiny Miss 2-3 years Petite Timberjack 3 years Mini Miss 4-5 years Little Timberjack 4-5 years Little Miss 6-8 years Petite Miss 9-12 years Junior Miss 13-17 years Teen Miss 18-21 years Miss Forest Festival **The director reserves the right to combine categories if there are less than 4 contestants in an age division. WINNERS will receive a crown, trophy and banner. Winners will be presented at the 28 th Annual Texas State Forest Festival on Sunday, September 22 nd at the George Henderson Expo Center. Winners will ride in the Lufkin Christmas parade and talent winners will perform at special events during the year. Special awards will be given in each division for most beautiful, personality, best dress, best camo wear or timberjack attire, interview, and photogenic. ALL CONTESTANTS will receive a trophy. COMPETITION Baby through Mini Miss (3 year old) contestants will compete in Party Dress and camo outfit of choice competitions. Contestants may wear a dressy church dress, flower girl or cupcake pageant dress. Timberjack contestants will wear Sunday Best and Lumberjack attire (overalls or jeans). All ages 4 and up will compete in on-stage interview. No talent. All contestants must compete in the photogenic competition. Photographs may be no larger than 8x10 and may be color or black and white. Please no Photoshop pictures allowed! Photographs will be turned in at check in. Photos will be scored separately. We do not encourage excessive make-up. GRAND AND SUPREME COMPETITIONS In both the morning and afternoon pageants, a Grand Most Beautiful, Grand Most Handsome, Grand Personality, Grand Dress, Grand Camo Wear, Grand Timberjack Attire, Grand Photogenic and Supreme Queen/King will be selected. The photogenic score will be added for the Supreme Queen/King. Grand Winners will receive a 2 foot trophy and the Supreme Winner will receive a 3 foot trophy and scepter.
ENTRY FEES $95.00 if paid by September 1 (If you are selling tickets and have turned in $25 deposit and turned in entry form you do not have to pay late fee.) $105.00 if paid after September 1 Checks or Money orders may be made payable to P.O.E.T. (Pageants of East Texas) NO entries will be accepted on pageant date. Paypal is available. PROGRAM In order to be included in the program, entry forms must be received by September 5, 2013. Contestant s color picture, name and sponsor or good luck wishes may be placed in the program for $30.00. TICKET SALES Contestants my sell raffle tickets to cover their entry fees. Donations of $1 per ticket can be applied to entry fees, program picture, t shirt and picture package. The Prize winner will receive a $100 Gift Card. Raffle tickets can be picked up at A Hot Mess (Children s Resale Store), located in Gaslight Shopping Center in Lufkin. A $25 deposit is required for the first 100 tickets. The deposit will be applied to the tickets received. High Ticket Seller will receive a 3 foot trophy and large crown, 1st and 2 nd runners up will also receive a trophy and crown. All contestants selling 50 tickets over their entry fee will receive a crown and contestants selling 100 tickets over their entry fees will receive a 3 foot trophy and crown. COMMUNITY SUPPORT You may enter free if you sell ads for the color souvenir program. Family members and businesses can show their support of the Annual Texas Forest Festival. Ad copy may include Best Wishes or Good Luck. Photos may be included but are an additional $9.00 charge. If you sell $190.00 in ads, you will receive your entry fee free. If you sell $240.00 in ads, you will receive your entry fee, picture package and video If you sell $300.00 in ads, you will receive entry fee, free contestant ad in program, t-shirt, picture package and video. COVER GIRL KING OR QUEEN: You may sell ads to compete for this title. The contestant selling the most ads will have his/her picture in the color souvenir program. He/she will receive a 3 foot trophy and crown. Contestants placing second and third will also receive a trophy and special recognition in the program. ***ADS MUST BE TURNED BY SEPTEMBER 5, 2013. SEE INSERT FOR YOUR AD SALES. ADMISSION Tickets to the pageant are $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children 4-17 years. Parents will receive 2 complimentary passes to the pageant and the ticket will be good for both morning and afternoon pageant. PICTURE PACKAGE A picture package will be available for $20.00. The package includes four 5x7 prints.
