Center 505-869-8557 From I-25 South, Take Exit 215 South. Turn right on NM-147. Drive on the bridge over the Rio Grande River. Turn left on the first dirt road, Tribal Road #33. At the stop sign, turn left again, Tribal Road #40. Drive ¼ mile, and you will see the Recreation Center on the left. FACILITIES: The Isleta Recreation Center has an 8-lane, 25 meter competition pool with a 4 foot minimum depth, non-turbulent lane lines. The course has not been certified in accordance with 104.2.2c(4). The Pueblo of Isleta s elevation is 4887 feet. No automatic timing system is available. All times will be stopwatch times. Rest rooms and changing rooms are available. No smoking is allowed anywhere in the facility. Glass containers are not allowed anywhere inside the Isleta Recreation Center. The wading pool, Jacuzzi, steam room, and dry sauna are all off limits during the course of the meet. The meet safety marshal will patrol all of these areas. RECORDING DEVICES: Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms, or locker rooms. Flash photography is not allowed at the start of any event. RULES: 2013 USA Swimming rules will govern the conduct of the meet unless otherwise noted herein. ELIGIBILITY: All participants must be USA Swimming registered athletes in compliance with Article 302 of USA s 2013 Rulebook. Entries will not be accepted without 2013 or 2014 registration numbers. All registrations will be verified. Coaches and officials must present evidence of certification as required by New Mexico Swimming. A swimmer's age on the first day of the meet will determine his or her age for the entire meet. WARM UP: New Mexico Swimming and USA Swimming Meet Safety Guidelines and Warm-up Procedures will be in effect at this meet. If deemed necessary, the Meet Director will post and announce the warm-up assignments prior to the start of the meet warm-up. Swimmers attending the meet without a coach must report to the Meet Director or Referee to be assigned a coach for warm-up prior to each session. Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach, must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When un-accompanied by a member-coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement. STARTING TIMES: Warm-up: 10:00am Competition: 11:00am MEET OPERATION: This meet will be run using Fly-Over Start procedure; however, we realize this is a novice meet and will allow additional time for new swimmers to learn the protocol. At the conclusion of each heat, all swimmers shall remain in the water until after the next heat has started. Coaches, please remind your swimmers of the Fly-Over Start procedures. ENTRIES: Teams who have HYTEK'S Meet/Team Manager should email entries using Hy-tek Meet Manager/Team Manager software or through Team Unify, along with a PDF copy of the meet entries. DISABILITIES: Swimmers with disabilities are welcome, and we encourage the use of the enclosed form for disabled swimmers. Please return it with the entries. DECK ENTRIES: A $4.00 fee per individual event plus $3.00 NMS and $5.00 facility surcharge per swimmer will be charged for all deck entered athletes. Deck entries must be submitted 30 minutes prior to the start of the meet and will only be accepted for empty lanes; no new heats will be created. If there are any questions about deck entries please notify the meet director as soon as possible. A swimmer s 2013 or 2014 USA Swimming Registration Card must be shown prior to acceptance of their deck entries. Deck USA-NMS registrations will not be allowed. LIMITS: Swimmers are limited to 4 individual events and 2 relays. Entries will be limited to 200 swimmers per session. Any team with entries that causes the number to exceed 200 will be allowed to enter all swimmers. The host team reserves the right to limit the number of heats in deck-seeded events in order to run the meet in the allotted time. MEET FORMAT: This is a timed finals meet. SCORING: Points for first through eighth places in individual events will be awarded as follows: 9-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 and scored to individual age groups: 8 and under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, and 17and 0ver. AWARDS: Swimmers ten and under will receive ribbons through eighth place in the 8 and under and 9-10 age groups. COACHES' MEETING: At the discretion of the meet referee, a coaches' meeting will be held prior to the beginning of each session following warm up; location will be determined by the meet referee. No swimmers will be allowed in the pool during this time. SWIMWEAR: All swimsuits shall be made from textile materials. For men, the swimsuit shall not extend above the navel, or below the knees. For women, the swimsuit shall not cover the neck, extend past the shoulder, or over the knee. No fasteners or zippers, other than drawstrings, are allowed. The meet referee shall have the authority to restrict swimmers from competition until they are in compliance with the rule. DECK CHANGES: Except where venue facilities require otherwise, changing into and out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is not appropriate and is prohibited. CONCESSIONS: Concessions will be available throughout the meet. HOSPITALITY: A hospitality area will be available for coaches, officials, and meet personnel.
