ARTICLE 18 GEN ERAL RAN GE RU L ES MEMBER COPY SECTION 1. Alcoholic beverages shall not allowed on club grounds at any time. SECTION 2. All shooters shall use only club provided stands which are affixed to the berms. Shooters shall not use personal target stands without permission from the board. Shooting glass bottles, cans, jars or any other non-target objects is not allowed. Shoot at club-provided targets only. SECTION 3. Shooting must stop on all ranges when targets are to be checked or replaced to avoid accidents. This should be done every fifteen minutes, or when requested by a shooter. SECTION 4. All firearms not in use must be pointed down range, unloaded, with the breech open, or in a gun sack with the safety on. Magazine-fed weapons shall have the magazine removed, breech open, and chamber clear, with the safety on. SECTION 4a. Keep your finger off the trigger until you have acquired a target. SECTION 5. All targets shall be removed from the ranges when done and the area cleaned up. SECTION 6. Membership badges must be worn while on club grounds. You may be asked by any member to show your badge. A member may request special permission, in writing, from the Chief Range Officer or any Executive Committee member, to bring a guest to the club. SECTION 7. When a work party is present, the range(s) being worked on shall be closed. During special events, all ranges being used shall also be closed. SECTION 8. All shooting shall be done from the shooting benches, tables, or other designated areas. Any member not shooting correctly will be reported to the Executive Committee. SECTION 9. No shooting shall be allowed before 8:00am Monday Saturday and before 10:00am on Sunday. All shooting shall stop at sunset, except on lighted ranges. In all cases, shooting shall end by 9:00pm. SECTION 10. Fully automatic weapons shall not be allowed on club grounds. SECTION 11. Black powder guns shall be allowed on the 30-yard, 100-yard and 200-yard ranges only. SECTION 12. There shall be no throwing of clay, trap, skeet or any other targets except on their designated ranges. An exception for a special event may be granted by the Executive Committee. SECTION 13. Broadhead arrows shall not be used on club targets. SECTION 14. When using the archery course, use only designated trails to travel from one target to the next. Take no shortcuts. You may become injured by an arrow. Think safety at all times. SECTION 15. When retrieving arrows, lean your bow against the target backer to alert others of your presence. SECTION 16. No trash shooting at objects on the ground. Avoid ricochets; all projectiles must impact the sand berm. SECTION 17. No open campfires allowed on club grounds. SECTION 18. Use of armor-piercing, tracer, or other incendiary ammunition is strictly forbidden on club grounds. No use of shot larger than #7.5 allowed on trap field, and no shot larger than #8 on the skeet field. SECTION 19. Rifles are permitted on the 30-yard range for sighting purposes only.
