D C Report November 2015 Hi Everyone, Hope you are all well and making the most of some good weather. With many equestrian events on at this time of year a lot of our members have been out and about, I have been fortunate to watch some of these events and loved seeing the Seville Spirit shine, congratulations to all! At our November rally we will be welcoming 5 new Family s. Hello and welcome to Georgina Short, Maddison Bowtell, Genevieve Whitford, Bridie Wescombe &, Harry Trevellyn. I m sure I can count on everyone to make our new members feel most welcome. Most of us all have fond memories of our first pony club rally, the nerves and excitement, so please be sure to offer assistance where you can or at least an encouraging smile to our newest Seville Members. Some reminder points for all Club Uniform. As part of the gear check rules all members MUST be in acceptable club uniform. Awards will now be held towards the end of the financial year instead of at our Christmas rally. The date and venue is still to be announced. BUT the DC team is watching at every rally so if you see me sneaking around make sure to put those heels down, look ahead and give me a big smile! Please make sure you listen to any adult who may be asking you to walk in certain areas, or any other instruction they may have. It will usually be for safety reasons. Whips are for use ONLY after you have used all your correct aids. We will be concentrating on incorrect whip use and what pcav considers whip abuse. Please make sure all members read the attachment. Whip From time to time we will be shuffling around the members in their groups. It will give the members an opportunity to make new friends and hopefully eliminate any perceived pressure of moving up a group. So please make sure you check your rally plan and groups list each month. If leaving early from a rally please be sure to let the DC team know R U Attending. Please confirm if you are planning on attending before each and every rally.

State Qualifiers Dressage & Show jumping-entries please. Attention all PCAV Grade 1, 2 & 3 dressage riders and PCAV Grade A, B & C show jumpers the State qualifiers for both dressage and show jumping will be held on Sunday 29 th November at Upper Yarra. Please let me know if you are interested or email me by Friday 13 th November, as all entries must be submitted via the DC. To be considered for entry into this competition, riders must also be prepared to commit to competing at the PCAV State Championships at Gladysdale in March next year. Further information is available at http://www.nmz.ponyclubvic.org.au Christmas Rally Sunday, 13 th December Well it s nearly that time of year where did the year go! Our senior riders from the Whales and Sharks will be running another exciting Christmas rally for everyone. The theme will be Superheroes, this may be a from a movie or cartoon, or may be your own personal Super Hero Our talented Senior riders are still ironing out the finer points of the rally, but it will be a team based rally with lots of exciting events for all. Updates via our Facebook page and email to follow Musical Ride & Flat Teams 2016 We are very eager to see our club well represented at the Zone Musical Ride and Flat Teams event in 2016. We hosted a brief meeting at our September rally to gain early expressions of interest and we will also be assessing riders at the November rally for suitability and team selection. Some of the flat sessions at this rally will also include working in pairs and teams of 4. If you are unsure about what is involved in these events, please chat to myself or Amanda Wilson or email any of the DC team. Team events are loads of fun and riders of any age or grade can participate in the musical ride, but we will be asking riders to be able commit to practise sessions, in addition to assistance and training provided at rallies. This is a wonderful opportunity for all riders to represent SPC at Zone level and possibly progress to a State level event. Further information is available via the link below: http://www.ponyclubvic.org.au/?page=72
