2017 2018 Program Sheran Daniele, Founder & Artistic Director enters her 40th year in dance education, joined by her highly qualified professional staff, whose resumes range from Broadway to American Ballet Theater, Julliard to Joffrey, Moscow Conservatory to The Metropolitan Opera. Ballet Arts offers an extensive range of education and exercise including Ballet with piano accompaniment, Jazz, Tap, Ballroom, Irish Step, Hip-Hop, Boy s Hip-Hop, Creative Movement, Story Time Dance, Musical Theater, Latin/Salsa and Adult Classes. Classes are available for students age 2 to Adult in every skill level, beginner to advanced. Placements are at discretion of the director. Our teaching methods emphasize the basics of movement and the language of dance following the Russian Vaganova training system, emphasizing precision and control. LYRICAL The Lyrical dance style has its primary basis in ballet, combining the many technical elements of classical ballet with the freedom, fluidity, and expressiveness aspects of jazz, contemporary and modern dance. Lyrical dance is expressive, simultaneously subtle and dynamic, focused on conveying musicality and emotion through movement. Beginner Lyrical - Ages 7-11 A background in Ballet is encouraged. Our Performing Arts Camp offers a Half-Day Program and an All-Day Program. Extended hours for the working parent are available; early drop-off and late pick up are by arrangement in advance. The morning session is from 9:00am-12:30pm; afternoons from 1:30pm-5:00pm and All-Day from 9:00am-5:00pm. For students ages 5 through 15, at all skill levels. Instruction is designed to be responsive to each age group and skill level. The Performing Arts instruction segments include dance, such as Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop and Lyrical Dance. The Cultural Dance components include African Dance, Latin Dance, Chinese Dance and Irish Step. The Theater Arts segments include Voice, Choreography and Musical Theater. We decorate, supply pizza or sandwiches and drinks for the children along with a balloon and party bag for each child. (Ask about food and beverage for attending adults) We also clean up - You don t have to do anything! A deposit of $275 is non-refundable and the balance is due the day of the party. After 15 children there is an additional charge of $15 per child. We also host Baby Showers, Bridal Showers and Rent-A-Room The studio can be rented on an hourly basis for $150 per hour up to 3 hours, then $125 per hour from the 4th hour on. All dance, gymnastics, ice skating, fitness, yoga, pilates and cheerleading essentials are available thru Centre Stage. 11. Class Make-ups: to be eligible for a make-up notice must be given. Only 4 make-ups are permitted; no make-ups after January 31st, 2018. 12. Private Lessons: Any cancellation requires 24 hour notice or you will be charged in full. 13. Mrs. Daniele reserves the right to dismiss a student for nonpayment, tardiness, excessive absences or inappropriate behavior. 14. Pro-Rating will take place for the classes which are not filled after October 17, 2018. 15. All rehearsals are mandatory for the June Recital. Chronic absences during recital preparation (after January 31st) will result in the student being dismissed from recital or will require private lesson make-up at an additional fee. 16.
