Opening serve is slated for 1 p.m. at Reynolds Gymnasium. LAST TIME OUT The Demon Deacons dropped their final two road matches of the season at No. 20 Florida State and Miami last weekend, falling by scores of 3-1 and 3-0, respectively. The Deacs became the fourth team to win a set against Florida State in Tallahassee this season, joining current No. 19 Texas A&M, Miami and No. 15 Louisville. Freshman setter Rachel Burau had 59 assists in the two matches, while Kylie Long led the team in kills with 24. In addition to posting 16 kills and seven blocks in the two matches, Matalee Reed tied a career-best with four service aces against the Hurricanes. MILESTONE TRACKER Sophomore Caroline Wolf became moved up to eighth on Wake Forest s all-time digs list with 1,057. Her 534 digs on the season are the second-most in the ACC and put her 17 digs away from breaking Wake Forest s single-season digs record of 550 by Megan Thornberry in 2008. With a team-best 11 kills against Miami on Sunday, Kylie Long became the seventh Deacon to post a 400-plus-kill season and moved past Katie Horn s 400-kill season in 1998 for the 10th-most kills in one year in program history. Wolf was named the ACC Co-Player of the Week on Oct. 19 after racking up a career-best 42 digs at Notre Dame. That total was the secondmost in a four-set match in ACC volleyball history, as well as the most in the NCAA in a four-set match in 2015. AMONG THE ACC S BEST Going into the week, Hanna Lee and Matalee Reed are fourth and fifth in the ACC, respectively, in aces with marks of 0.33 and 0.32 per set. Kylie Long is tied for third in the league in kills with 405. Her 3.58 killsper-set mark slots her eighth. SCOUTING NORTH CAROLINA Riding an 11-match win streak, No. 22 North Carolina enters Wednesday with a 19-8 record and a second-place ACC mark of 16-2. UNC s Victoria McPherson is fourth in the conference with a hitting percentage of.367, while Paige Neuenfeldt has a league-high 1.48 blocks per-set-average. McPherson is fourth in that category at 1.32. NEXT ON THE DOCKET Wake Forest finishes the year by celebrating Senior Day on Saturday against NC State at 1 p.m. at Reynolds Gymnasium. The Deacs will honor their four seniors: Matalee Reed, Sam Boesch, Megan Miller and Anna Carley.
