Agenda on bulletin board. HOB PRESIDENT S MESSAGE JIM CRAIG It s March, spring is around the corner and events are flying by. As you read through the Courier you will see our very strong clubs have filled the month with many activities to enjoy. Coming from two other condo units before moving to Mainlands, it is great to see this and the crowds that attend. Just a sure sign of how good it is to live in Mainlands Unit Three. I want to recognize Jack Oberlin for his service to our community as he has submitted his resignation. Jack has served the community for many years as our Alterations Director. Thanks Jack. I want to also recognize Rose Brandenstein. As you come into Unit Three, you may have noticed the Welcome signs look better and brighter. Rose volunteered her time to repaint them and they just look great. Thanks Rose. A wealth of talent lives in Unit 3 and Rose is an example of one. The business of Unit Three will be conducted at the next Home Owner s Board meeting on March 3 at 7pm in the Clubhouse. The agenda will be posted on the bulletin board, so check it out and try to be at the meeting. See the brief article about THE BIRDS on page 4. MEN S CLUB Collin Simpson, President Well, after surviving the winter and the Super Bowl we are being rejuvenated by the signs of spring, and thoughts of better days ahead. Unfortunately, for personal reasons, Dick Althof found it necessary to resign as our First Vice President. In that position Dick performed in a creative and exemplary manner, and will continue being a valued member of the club. Joe Billera has been selected by the members as his replacement. Joe has the experience and ability to perform well in that capacity. The upcoming 120 Club party, on Sunday the 6th, promises to be a huge success, only to be followed by our Fish Dinner on Friday the 18th. Looking ahead to April, our Italian Dinner will be on the 2nd. In between times, I'll see you at our next meeting on March 10th. Cheerio, Collin Attention 120 Club members: Sign up for the 120 Club Party should be by March 1st, however, members not present will still be eligible for all prizes. For the new year, the responsibility for the operation of the 120 Club has been relinquished to the Social Club Unit 3. We had a fun, but cold time in Fort DeSoto. We also enjoyed Gulfport where a bunch of our Canadian friends came in from Lakeland. For March, we have the 2nd week at Boca Ciega, then up to John Chestnut State Park near Palm Harbor. Honeymoon Island also comes into focus for March along with a local walk at Lake Seminole Park.
