A. New Jersey Sanitary Code, Public Recreational Bathing, Expiration date: September 6, 2016, 8:26-5.4 Bather Rules for Swimming Pools and Wading Pools, Hot Tubs and Spas. 1. Any person showing evidence of any communicable skin disease, sore or inflamed eyes, cold, nasal or ear discharge or any communicable disease shall be denied admission. 2. Persons with excessive sunburn, open blisters, cuts or bandages shall be denied admission. 3. Any person shall not enter the water if you are experiencing or recovering from diarrhea or have had any signs or symptoms of a gastrointestinal (stomach) disease in the past seven days. 4. Children should be encouraged to use the restroom before entering the water. Immediately report any accidents you observe in the bathing waters to a lifeguard. 5. No animals, except for service animals, shall be allowed in the pool area, dressing rooms, or other parts of the enclosure. 6. Where food and drinks are permitted, no containers made of glass shall be used. 7. All persons must shower before entering the water. 8. Expectoration, roughness, or any other conduct affecting the safety and comfort of others shall not be permitted and subject to disciplinary action at the discretion of the Pool Management. 9. Bathing shall be prohibited during an electrical storm. 10. Persons suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol shall be prohibited from entering the water and may be asked to leave the premises if their behavior is deemed to be a hazard to the safety to themselves or others and/or they cause a disruption to the use of the facilities by others. Serious or continued violations of the Rule may result in revocation of membership after the person is given notice of possible revocation and an opportunity to be heard regarding the events which form the grounds for such B. General Rules and Regulations 1. All Members must show valid ID for admission. 2. NO RAIN CHECKS WILL BE ISSUED. 3. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by a responsible person 18 years of age and over. 4. Parking is permitted only in designated parking lot. Handicap parking rules must be observed. Violations are subject to police involvement. 5. Bathing suits are required. No cutoffs or shorts. Tee shirts are prohibited in pool unless medical justification is provided and approved by Swim club management. A parent/guardian must sign a release form.

6. Activities such as ball playing, Frisbee throwing, or any other type of related activity will ONLY be allowed in DESGINATED areas and are subject to changes at the discretion of pool management. 7. No one is permitted in the pool unless a lifeguard is on duty. 8. Lifeguards are empowered to enforce pool regulations. Members and guests MUST comply with lifeguard instructions or may be requested to leave the pool. 9. It is prohibited to distract a lifeguard on duty except in the case of an emergency. 10. No running, jumping or playing on pool deck or patio areas. 11. All umbrellas must attach to lawn chairs. 12. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited at all times at the swim club. 13. Playground/ZipKrooz is for children 10 years of age and under. PARENTAL SUPERVISION IS REQUIRED TO INSURE THE SAFETY OF YOUR CHILDREN. 14. Telephone calls to the club for purposes of paging a member or guest is limited to emergency calls only and will be accommodated at the discretion of the management. 15. Members borrowing Swim facility sports equipment, toys or games are responsible for returning equipment in the same condition as when it was borrowed. The member will be charged the replacement cost of any lost or damaged item. 16. Management reserves the right to inspect coolers for glass bottles or alcoholic beverages. 17. Any returned check is subject to a returned check fee of $20.00 18. Refunds for membership may be made only upon written request. Generally, relocation from this area or serious illness will be considered as justifying a refund. NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE AFTER JULY 4, 2017. All refunds subject to a 15% Administrative Fee. 19. The pool Supervisory personnel have the authority to close pools and/or the facility whenever they feel the health and safety of the participants is in danger due to breakdown, operational difficulties or inclement weather. The facility shall reopen at the discretion of the supervisory personnel. 20. Lounge chairs cannot be reserved or saved and are on a first come, first serve basis. 21. Parents/guardians of children who urinate or defecate in the pool(s) will be subject to disciplinary action and reviewed by Pool Supervision which may result in the loss of membership. This is commonly known as LOGGING and there is a zero tolerance policy.

C. Rules Related to Food and Beverage 1. Trash must be deposited in waste receptacles and any cans or plastic bottles must be placed in recycling receptacles. 2. Any member or guest that litters will be subject to disciplinary action. 3. Gum chewing is not permitted within the facility. 4. Glass of any kind is not permitted within the facility. 5. Smoking is not permitted within the facility. Smoking is only permitted in the smoking area located outside the main entrance. D. Diving / Slide Rules 1. IMPROPER DIVING CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY; THEREFORE, DIVING IS ONLY PERMITTED IN THE DIVING TANK. Any member or guest violating this rule can be asked to leave the facility for the day. More serious action will be taken if the offense is repeated. 2. Non-swimmers are not permitted in the diving tank. 3. Only one person at a time is permitted on diving board. 4. Divers are to dive straight off the diving board, not off the sides. No lingering in the diving tank. 5. Only one person at a time is permitted on the slide. Follow the lifeguards instructions. E. Flotation Devices, Masks 1. No toys or flotation devices will be allowed in the pool area. Exceptions in special situations may be made with the consent of pool supervisor personnel. USCG Approved floatation devices only F. Guest Policy 1. Guests are welcome but must be accompanied by a member and pay the appropriate guest fee. 2. Members must sign and pay for guests at front gate prior to entering the club. 3. Guest admission fees are not refundable. The management is not responsible for weather conditions. 4. Members are responsible for the actions of their guests. Guests can be asked to leave by the management if their conduct or actions are inappropriate. 5. A Birthday party with outside guests must be pre-arranged in the Swim club office and is limited to 30 guests/members. The reserved area will be available upon approval from the management. Forms are available in the office.

G. Diaper, Infant, Toddler and Kiddie Pool 1. Disposable diapers are not permitted in any pool. 2. Any baby that is wearing a diaper on the deck or grassy area must also wear a bathing suit over the diaper. 3. Parents rinsing off or cleaning the genital area of any child in any pool will be subject to suspension from the pool. 4. The spray pool is for children 4 years of age and under. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. H. Tennis/Pickle ball Court Rules 1. Only tennis is to be played on the Tennis Courts. 2. Proper footwear is required, no sandals, bare feet or flip flops. 3. Only four players are permitted on a court at a time. 4. Players are expected to observe proper etiquette and shall not interfere with other players. 5. Children 10 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult when playing tennis. 6. Court 1 is a challenge court. Playing time for courts is to be reserved at the front gate. 7. USE OF TENNIS COURTS IS LIMITED TO TWO (2) HOURS A DAY PER FAMILY. 8. If you are not on the court within ten (10) minutes of your scheduled time, your court time will be canceled and given to someone else. The interpretation and enforcement of this body of rules and regulations will be the responsibility of the Pool Supervisory personnel and /or his assistants at all times. Decisions and actions made necessary by circumstances not specifically covered herein will be the discretion of the Pool Supervisory Personnel. Adopted by Ordinance 869-92, March 2, 1993, and amended from time to time thereafter. The interpretation and enforcement of this body of rules and regulations will be the responsibility of the Pool Supervisory personnel and /or his assistants at all times. Decisions and actions made necessary by circumstances not specifically covered herein will be the discretion of the Pool Supervisory Personnel. Adopted by Ordinance 869-92, March 2, 1993.

Hazlet Recreation reserves the right to modify these rules as situations change. Any updates will be available on-line and posted at the Swim Club. POOL CLOSING POLICY The Hazlet Swim & Tennis Club management has the right to close the facility and /or an individual pool at its discretion and due to any of the following: Inclement weather (lighting and thunder) must wait OUTSIDE of the facility. Club may re-open after 30 minutes after the storm ends. The 30 minutes is after the last sound of thunder or sighting of lightning. Concern for member safety, health and welfare Staff availability Operational/Mechanical difficulties All pools close 20 minutes before posted closing time. Adult swim or other club sponsored activities POOL CLOSING-HYGIENE INCIDENT In the event of a hygiene incident, the affected pool will be closed for an indefinite amount of time. The closure will depend on the severity of the incident and the level of chlorine at the time of the incident. If the facility closes due to a hygiene incident, refunds are not issued. SUMMER CAMPS All camps that visit the pool during the summer are subject to the same rules as members of the club. All camp children must be supervised by their counselors and camp staff. The visiting camp staff must also abide by the rules of the Swim club management and life guards. RESTROOMS Restrooms may be closed temporarily during the day to clean. Announcements will be made to make members and guests aware. Restrooms will be closed 15 minutes before the swim club closes for the day.
