OE Hawks Update #OEGrit

What you lack in talent can be made up with desire, hustle, and giving 110 percent all the time. by Don Zimmer This quote is meaningful to Makenna because even though she will not be the best at everything she does in her life, she knows that if she works her hardest and puts time and energy into what she does, she can become great. S.A.L.T. of the Hawks Leadership Quote of the Week Submitted by Junior Makenna Winemiller Member of the Lady Hawks Basketball Team

S.A.L.T. of the Hawks The Hard Hat Discussion about Leading by Example

We are Hawk Nation.

Awesome Hawk Congratulations!! The Awesome Hawk award is given to the student who has demonstrated the following characteristics: Respect for property and others (staff and students). Kindness to others (staff and students). A positive attitude toward the subject taught in that department. Cooperation in working with others (staff and students). This week s Awesome Hawk is Senior Tanner Williams, awarded by the Science Department! Tanner has been Ms. Richard s Teacher s Aide each year and has always been great at jumping in and helping students and setting up labs, but this year he went above and beyond! Ms. Richard has a student in a wheelchair who was unable to use the microscope, because the wheelchair-accessible desk was too high. When Tanner heard about this problem, he worked in the 21 st Century Design Academy and created a microscope stand for her to use. He worked so quickly that she was able to use the microscope by our next class period. Thank you Tanner you are a true example of an AWESOME HAWK!
