Moti Nativ Bufest 2009 September 11-13, 2009 at Camp Cilca near Springfield Illinois The 11th Annual Bufest of 2009 will be held again at Camp Cilca near Springfield Illinois. http://cilca.org/ (click on map / directions) Physical address for Map quest or GPS - Camp Cilca, 4124 Camp Cilca Rd, Cantrall, IL 62625 GUEST INSTRUCTOR: Moti Nativ http://www.bujinkan-israel.co.il Moti-Nativhas been involved in martial arts since 1966. In 1975 he entered the doors of the Bujinkan. Moti has focused on the traditional kata of Bujinkan Schools, analyzing the ancient techniques and performing the Shingen-gata (practical combat). He is proficient in Budotaijutsu, Judo and Krav Maga. Shihan Moti Nativ is also a graduate of Feldenkrais training (1974), and has served four years as president of the Israeli Feldenkrais Guild. Ed Martin SUPPORTING INSTRUCTORS: 15 th dans Roy Wilkinson Ed Martin http://www.pabujinkanbarndojo.com/index.asp Ed is a retired TWA pilot and so he travels and trains students worldwide. He returns to Japan each spring and winter for advanced instruction. He is also often asked to officiate in Ninjutsu's growing number of national and international exhibitions. As a teacher of Ninjutsu he was asked to pen a local newspaper's column on self defense. Noted for his prose he was asked to become editor of a community newsletter, The East Penn Commentator. Among many other endeavors to his credit, Ed produced a video tape entitled Self Defense for

Everyone. This earned an award of merit from Masaaki Hatsumi and a suggestion by Ninjutsu s Grandmaster to make a sequel. Roy Wilkinson http://www.atlantabujinkan.com/instructors.html Mr. Wilkinson is currently in his 30th year of martial arts training in Bujinkan Ninpo Taijutsu, and is Judan Kugyo in the Bujinkan system. Roy has given numerous seminars in the United States and Europe, both within the Bujinkan and for other martial arts systems, and is the Chief Instructor of the Atlanta Bujinkan Dojo. He has trained current & former law enforcement, security, and military personnel, in addition to civilians from all walks of life, and has presented self-protection and women's self-defense programs for both professional and collegiate audiences. Mr. Wilkinson has appeared in several European and American martial arts magazines, and was recently the subject of a documentary on the art, entitled: 'Heart, Sword and Perseverance'. THE SCHEDULE & COST: A 2 night campout in cabins with bunk beds and 3 day training including most meals will be from Friday Sept. 11 th 6:00 PM and closing at noon Sunday Sept. 13 th for the cost of $180 by June 6, $200 after June 6 th, and $220 at the door. One day of training is $110 at the door on Sat. (One day price $30 for Fri $35 for Sun.) Eric Strong of Chicago is hosting and Angie Smith is co-hosting. FOOD AND EQUIPMENT: Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, lunch and dinner on Saturday are included as well as sleeping and bathroom facilities. You will need sleeping bags or blankets, water, training equipment and food for Friday evening, or eat before you arrive. Family members can stay at the campground free but may need to purchase or bring food. There is a gas station with convenience store a few miles away. No live weapons or alcohol allowed on camp grounds. A small additional fee will be added (TBA-watch for up dates) for camper trailers. No fee for tents. T-shirts and merchandise from our instructors may be available. SCHEDULE OF EVENTS Friday September 11th 5:00 P.M. Arrive and select cabin 5:30 P.M. Sign in 6:00 P.M. Introduction of 15 th dans Moti Nativ, Ed Martin, and Roy Wilkinson 6:15-7:30 instruction in dining hall Feldenkrais introduction. Moti Nativ Special Event: Ed Martin presentation 8:00 PM meet at the fire pit and listen to Sufi stories by Ed Martin. Coffee and donuts served by Angie Smith. You can get food at Subway on your way to camp and eat during story time or you can bring a sack lunch as well. No other food served this night. Saturday September 12th 8:00 AM breakfast in cafeteria, don't be late please, training in cafeteria afterwards 8:45 Opening Announcements (volunteers needed to move tables for training) Group photo will be taken just before training. Students wear your gi and belt for the photo please. (You may wear t-shirt etc. afterwards). All instructors will be available to help students. Instructors should wear their 2009 Bufest T-shirt on Saturday. Students should not. THANKS. 09:00-11:45 P.M. Training with Moti (Budo Taijutsu) 11:45 12:00 Memorial Dick Severance Dick was instrumental in supporting Bufest and instructing for the last 10 years along with Ed Martin. He will be missed as a friend and great teacher. 12:00-12:50 lunch at the cafeteria (need volunteers at 11:50 and 12:50 to move tables. 1:00 2:50 Training with Moti 2:50 3:20 Personal Break and snack time 3:20-4:30 Training with Moti

4:30-5:00 - Bujinkan table sales from Ed, Roy, Angie and any others who want to set up and sell MA supplies. (No live blades inside Bufest or on camp grounds please) Notes from Angie: Bufest 2009 T-shirts will be designed by Tim Minnick of Hybrid Movements dojo Edwardsville. I will have Bufest 2009 T-Shirts for $25with silhouettes of Moti, Roy and Ed, with Dick overseeing them.(slightly more for xxl or xxxl, please preorder xxxl s) Also a non professional DVD with video clips of the weekend training for $25. Kid Ninja manuals and Kits will be available. (Pre-order kits with toys and kid sized weapons at Bufest website or (618) 407-6390 call or text. Personal Break until 6 PM 6:00-7:30 Bonfire and BBQ hamburgers, chips, cookies, picnic salads etc. at the outdoor benches overseeing the lake. Please meet Angie and Eric at 5:30 to help carry supplies to the BBQ area and help return them after eating. Night training will be after dinner. Night Training with Professor Jeff Walker and Roy Wilkinson Jeff Walker is certified as a Shidoshi (instructor) in the Bujinkan system. He has trained with Ed Martin and other senior instructors since the 1990s. Jeff is retired from the military after twenty-three years, serving in special operations units involved in counterinsurgency, counter terrorism, and counterintelligence operations and protective services. He is the head of the Criminal Justice department of UALR. He has been a regular teacher for the night training at Bufest for the last 6 years. (information from web site) 8:00-9:00 Night Training with Prof. Jeff Walker of Arkansas and Roy Wilkinson of Atlanta Bujinkan Wear shoes and clothing appropriate to hide and go into wooded area if you want to participate in all that is offered. You may choose to stay near the bonfire and listen but not enter the woods. You may want bug spray or ivy resistant cream on. Sunday September 13th 8:00 Breakfast in the cafeteria (need volunteers to move tables before training) 8:45-12:00 Training with Moti 12:00 Closing remarks as we end training and break camp. Please sweep out cabins and remove all trash from Cafeteria, bonfire area and grounds. Pack up and depart. Some of us will meet up at the Subway/gas station before getting on the road. Important notes below, please read:. **Our honored 15th dans Ed Martin and Roy Wilkinson have been asked to assist Moti with instruction on Saturday, and may add additional information to the instruction of the lower ranking teachers.
