The Crimson Tide comes into 2018 as the only program to fi nish in the NCAA Super Six each of the last 10 seasons, including back-to-back NCAA championships in 2011 and 2012. In her fourth year as Alabama s head coach, Dana Duckworth is in her 23rd as an active member of the Crimson Tide program a tenure that also includes four years as an NCAA Champion and All-America gymnast, nine as a volunteer coach and six as a full-time assistant coach. Dana Duckworth is 1-2-0 in season openers as a head coach. This marks the third year in a row that Alabama has opened the season on the road against a top-10, non-conference opponent - UCLA (2016/No. 6), Oklahoma (2017/No. 1) and Michigan (2018/No. 7). UP NEXT Alabama opens its home schedule Friday, January 12 at 7:30 p.m. against Southeastern Conference rival Georgia in Coleman Coliseum. The meet will be broadcast live on the SEC Network. HOME OPENERS The Crimson Tide opens its 2018 home slate on Jan. 12 against Georgia. CLASSROOM CHAMPION All-American and Scholastic All- American made another trip to Coleman Coliseum in December, but not for practice or a meet, but for graduation. The Fort Worth, Texas, native earned her bachelor s degree in psychology in three years and will compete her senior season as an Alabama graduate and will wear the SEC graduate patch on her warm-up. 2018 PRESEASON ES POLL The Alabama gymnastics team, which opens the 2018 season on Friday, Jan. 5 at Michigan, is ranked fourth in the preseason coaches poll. Alabama will face fi ve members of the preseason top 10, including No. 1 Oklahoma and No. 10 Kentucky at home in Coleman Coliseum and No. 2 Florida, No. 3 LSU and No. 7 Michigan on the road. Overall, the Crimson Tide will face nine teams in the top 20, including No. 14 Auburn, No. 16 Georgia, No. 17 Missouri and No. 19 Arkansas, giving Alabama one of the nation s toughest schedules again this season. TV GUIDE A total of fi ve of the Crimson Tide s regular-season meets will air live on the SEC Network, while the Tide s seasonopener at Michigan will air live on ESPNU and another will air on ESPN on a taped delay basis. All six of the Crimson Tide s regularseason home meets will also be streamed online live on SEC Network+. The Crimson Tide s home meets against Georgia (1/12) and Kentucky (2/16) along with its road meets at LSU (1/19), Florida (2/9) and Auburn (2/22) will air live on the SEC Network. The Georgia, Kentucky, LSU and Auburn meets will get underway at 7:30 p.m. CT while the meet at Florida will begin at 6 In addition to airing live on the SEC Network, Alabama s meet at Florida will re-air on ESPN2 Sunday, Feb. 11 at 7 Alabama s home meet against Missouri (1/26) will be streamed live on SEC Network+ and will air on a taped delay basis on ESPNU Sunday, Jan. 28 at 9 The Crimson Tide s Power of Pink meet against Arkansas (2/2) as well as its meet against UNC (2/2) and regularseason fi nale against Oklahoma (3/16) will stream live on SEC Network+, with all three meets getting underway at 7:30 Both sessions of the Southeastern Conference Championships (3/24), which will be held in St. Louis will also be broadcast live again this season. The fi rst session, with seeds 5-8, will air on the SEC Network starting at 2 p.m. CT, while the second, featuring seeds 1-4, will air on ESPN2 starting at 6 CRIMSON TIDE ADDS FIVE Four gymnasts - Asia DeWalt, Emily Gaskins, Griffi n James and Shallon Olsen - are set to join the Tide for the 2018-19 season. A former Junior International Elite competitor, Asia DeWalt is coached by Debbie Kaitschuck and Deana Parish at AIM Athletics. A 2017 Level 10 Texas State silver medalist on the uneven bars, she also fi nished sixth in the all-around at that same meet. In 2016, she was second on the vault, third on the uneven bars and fourth in the all-around at the Level 10 Texas State Championships. She was also third on the vault and seventh in the all-around at the 2016 Level 10 Region 3 Championships.The Spring, Texas, native is a member of the National Society of High School Scholars. A senior at Texas Connections Academy, DeWalt is a four-year honor student. She is the daughter of Ruth and August DeWalt. PAGE 4

A three-time member of the United States national team, Emily Gaskins competes for Mary Lee Tracy at the Cincinnati Gymnastics Academy. She also earned a place at the 2017 USA World Team Selection Camp. The Region 5 Athlete of the Year, she has competed for Team USA in Mexico and Italy, leading the U.S. to team gold each time. The Coral Springs, Fla., native is a senior at Florida Virtual School. She is the daughter of Kimberly and Ronald Gaskins. A fi ve-year Junior Olympic National Championship qualifier, Griffin James is coached by Nic and Amanda Tolley at Gymstrada Gymnastics. She is a three-time member of the Region 7 All- Star team and a fi ve-time Virginia state champion. She was fourth on the vault and eighth on the fl oor exercise at the 2017 J.O. National Championships. The Virginia Beach, Va., native is a member of the National Honor Society and the Math Honor Society. A senior at First Colonial High School, she carries a 4.0 cumulative grade point average. She is the daughter of Anne and Phillip James. A 2016 Canadian Olympian, who fi nished eighth on the vault in Rio, Shallon Olsen also fi nished seventh on the vault and 16th on the fl oor exercise at the 2017 World Championships. She is coached by Vladimir Lashin and Svetlana Lasina at Omega Gymnastics. A member of the Canadian national team since 2010, she earned gold on the vault at the 2016 Pacific Rim Championships, leading Team Canada to the silver medal. She also earned a silver medal on the fl oor exercise and a bronze on the vault at the 2014 Pacific Rim Championships while leading Canada to team silver. The Vancouver, British Columbia, native is a member of the honor roll at Centennial Secondary School, where she is a senior. She is the daughter of Jayne Chow-Olsen and Tony Olsen. PAGE 5
