November 2010 For Dec, Jan, Feb President s Message: Hello Fellow Basket Buddies, Once again, we are beginning a new quarter. The holidays are upon us - what a great time to be whipping up some baskets for gifts or for ourselves. The cold winter months are ahead, too, so let's warm up those hands and attend a basket class. Our December meeting will consist of our Pizza Party, paid for by our treasury. Desserts and soda will be welcome, if you'd like to bring something to share. Food items or cash for donation to the food shelf will be collected at the December meeting. Keep in mind that we are always looking for people to teach classes. If you have a favorite basket you've already made or one you would like to make, please consider teaching it in a class setting. And remember, we are now starting at 9:00 a.m. and weaving until 2:00 p.m. Jan Ihrke There seems to be a lot of confusion about signing up to teach classes. We have revised the Instructor form so it will be easier to understand. Some things to remember: You MUST fill out a form. Please do not email the info without the form. Please send it to April at the address on the form. Do not send it to Shirley. April schedules the classes and sends all of the gathered information to Shirley for the newsletter. Pictures should be sent electronically to April. If you do not have the means to do that, please attach a picture to your Instructor form. The schedule for submission of classes for the newsletter is: August 1 st for the Sept-Oct-Nov newsletter; November 1 st for the Dec-Jan-Feb newsletter; February 1 st for the March-April-May newsletter. We would like to give everyone who would like to teach the opportunity to do so. Thank you!
