SURREY STORM Surrey Storm embark on the season with 8 new squad members and big ambitions for a successful term in the Vitality Netball Superleague. Netball is the largest female team sport and the biggest participation sport in the United Kingdom with over 1.4 million women and girls playing and competing on a regular basis. Coached by Tania Hoffman who has 30 years experience as player and coach, the Storm season starts away from home at Wasps on Saturday 10th February. Show your support for the team by sponsoring a player for the season and be part of Storm s journey to the final game of the season at the Copper Box on 23rd June.

KATY HOLLAND- 1.2k+ VAT- SEASON KATY HOLLAND(c) Ever present in the Storm squad since the start of the 2011 Superleague season, Katy Holland has one of the top all-time appearance records for Storm and was vital in Storm s back-to-back title winning campaigns. A Storm NPL youth graduate, Katy has worked her way through the ranks to become a real favourite on and off court and will this season take the role of Team Captain thanks to her unfaltering commitment and passion to the club. MIKKI AUSTIN- 1.2k+ VAT- SEASON MIKKI AUSTIN Two-times Fans Player of the Season Mikki Austin has firmly cemented herself as a key member of the Surrey Storm squad since signing in 2015. Part of the back-to-back title winning Superleague squad, Mikki is a vital role model in the club s community coaching programme across London and the South East, leading sessions for adults and juniors to inspire people to take part in the sport. KATIE HARRIS- 1.2k+ VAT- SEASON KATIE HARRIS Katie Harris broke into the Surrey Storm starting 7 at the start of the 2017 Vitality Netball Superleague season following a number of seasons impressing in training for both the NPL youth and senior squads. A graduate of the University of Surrey, Katie is certainly not shy of a long-bomb or two, much to the delight of the on-looking Storm faithful! RHEA DIXON- 1.2k+ VAT- SEASON RHEA DIXON England youth shooter Rhea Dixon is a proud graduate of the renowned Surrey Storm NPL youth programme and also regularly pulls on a blue and gold dress to represent the University of Surrey in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) Premier League. Famous for always playing with a smile on her face, players of all ages aspire to follow in the footsteps of one of the English game s brightest talents. SIGI BURGER- 1.2k+ VAT- SEASON SIGI BURGER Making her debut for Surrey in the Vitality Netball Superleague season, Sigi brings international shooting experience to Storm having driven through the youth ranks with the South African Spar Proteas. A graduate of North-West University in her home nation, Sigi will be looking to make a name for herself in the Superleague this season. LORRAINE KOWALEWSKA- 1.2k+ VAT- SEASON LORRAINE KOWALEWSKA A senior member of the Surrey Storm squad, Lorraine Kowalewska has had a distinguished Superleague career going back a number of seasons, despite a short break from the game to raise her first child. Lorraine s passion for the sport sees her delivering regular community camps and sessions for junior players across the region. Date of birth: 25th October 1983 Position: GK
GEORGIA LEES- 1.2k+ VAT- SEASON GEORGIA LEES Georgia Lees is a versatile attacker and proud graduate of the Surrey Storm NPL youth programme. Part of the back-to-back title winning Superleague squad, Georgia battles week in, week out for a competitive spot in the Surrey Storm starting 7 and is a clear role model for young players across the country. YASMIN PARSONS- 1.2k+ VAT- SEASON YASMIN PARSONS Going into her 3rd season with Surrey Storm, school teacher Yasmin Parsons lives and breathes netball. With Superleague experience at Team Bath as well as Storm, her experience and passion to continuously improve will see her push for big things this season. Yasmin is also well-known for her passionate following, with pupils in her classes regularly cheering her on in the home arena! JO TRIP- 1.2k+ VAT- SEASON JO TRIP Making her Surrey Storm debut at The O2 Arena for the British Fast5 All Stars, fans are eagerly waiting to watch Jo Trip in Superleague action for Storm this season. Jo was a vital part of the regular season title winning Loughborough Lightning squad last season, picking up her first runners-up medal in the process, meaning her signing was an exciting move. for Head Coach Tania Hoffman. CHARMAINE BAARD- 1.2k+ VAT- SEASON TBC- 1.2k+ VAT- SEASON CHARMAINE BAARD Charmaine Baard is one of the newest members of Storm s impressive attacking roster. Swapping South Africa for the UK, Charmaine will be playing her first season in the Superleague this year. Both her and fellow attacker Sigi Burger share international experience as part of South Africa s squads. Their shooting expertise and chemistry on the court should make for an electric partnership this season. TALLISA HAYNES- 1.2k+ VAT- SEASON TALLISA HAYNES Following successfully coaching Storm s u19 team to the NPL title in 2017, Tallisa Haynes is swapping her coaching notebook for a player s dress this season. Tallisa brings a wealth of experience to the team and will be looking to help guide the young squad both on and off the court this coming season. ADI BOLAKORO- 1.2k+ VAT- SEASON ADI BOLAKORO As a current serving member of the British Armed Forces, Adi Dee Bolakoro knows all about performing under pressure. Dee was handed a trial by Director of Netball Tania Hoffman having caught her eye at a tournament in Colchester. Timing interceptions to perfection is a major part of her game, adding a strong defence to Storm s mid-court. Date of birth: 3/4/1985 Home nation: Fiji Position(s): WD, GD Honours: Fiji 2017
JADE FORBES-WATTLEY- 1.2k+ VAT- SEASON JADE FORBES-WATTLEY Former Brunel Hurricanes, Loughborough Lightning and England age-group player Jade Forbes-Wattley adds real steel to Storm s defense. New to Storm this year, the University of Loughborough graduate will be looking to ensure opposition attackers are kept quiet this season. EMILY GULVIN- 1.2k+ VAT- SEASON EMILY GULVIN A product of Storm s NPL squad Emily Gulvin will be looking to impress in her first season as a Superleague player. As a member of the University of Surrey s Team Surrey Netball Club, Emily will be reunited with Rhea Dixon on court this season. EMILY PORTER- 1.2k+ VAT- SEASON EMILY PORTER Making the step up to Storm s Superleague set up from the u19 s this season, Emily Porter is yet another example of the club s ambition to produce home grown talent. Emily is excited to be part of the squad this season and sees this as an opportunity to learn from and contribute to the squad.
