SHORT STIRRUP CLASS: Open to any youth rider who s age 10 or under on January 1 of the current year 1. 2. 5. FVRC BEGINNER FREESTYLE - 6. FUTURE REINERS For Youth (age 18 & under as of Jan 1st); may be assisted in arena by an adult (if needed); riders may choose May be ridden 1 or 2 handed; any legal headgear. Required maneuvers - 2 Stops, 1 back up, 1 rollback and 4 consecutive in each direction. Maximum 3 1/2 minute time limit starts at the beginning of the music or the beginning of the introduction (whichever is first) and ends with the music or when the rider indicates that the run is complete. Riders may not have won a year end championship or reserve championship in Freestyle. the size and speed of circles (excessive speed is discouraged); riders may hold saddle, ride one or two handed (and switch if needed without penalty; western saddle and legal bit; closed reins may be used (which may include Rommel, roping, crossed, knotted or taped reins); riders must wear approved riding helmet and proper riding boots with a heel; western attire recommended (but not mandatory); may use any horse (not restricted to ownership) and horse may be ridden in class by multiple riders (but not more than three times) Walk, Trot or Lope any two reining maneuvers. Walk to centre and stop facing Judge, start maneuvers. Comments only from Judge (not judged). 7. SLIDE OUT WEST LEAD LINE - Must be (8 years and under) - To be shown at a walk only, exhibitors in this class may not cross enter into any other class at this show that requires a jog/trot or lope. Horse must be shown in appropriate equipment, including bridle and saddle with the addition of a lead line or halter and lead line. General Rules Section A. Entrance Requirements: 1. Open to all breeds and grade horses. 2. rules apply to all classes. All AQHA rules apply to AQHA classes. All WCRA classes will follow the current WCRA High Point Rule Book. Copies of these rules are available at www.nrha.com or www.wcra.info or www.aqha.com. 3. Owners/riders who are not WCRA members are no longer required to pay a show fee in order to compete at WCRA approved shows. However, in order to be eligible for high point awards, owners/riders must be members. 4. classes: Both owners and riders must be current members to compete in classes. Horses must have a valid competition license to compete in classes. 5. AQHA classes: Both owners and riders must be current AQHA members to compete in AQHA classes. 6. To qualify for the WCRA Highpoint, both owner & rider must be WCRA members and the same horse/rider combination must ride in all 3 qualifier shows. 7. Riders and Horse owners must provide current HCBC membership numbers or proof of liability insurance. 8. All contestants must sign a waiver before their show package will be released. 9. Photocopies of competition license, registration, and membership cards must accompany entries for both owner & rider. 10. Competitors entering concurrent classes will pay only the higher of the judge s fees. 11. Payment accepted by Cheque or Etransfer. Cheques must be made out to the FVRC in Canadian funds and must be POSTMARKED by May 11th, 2018 Etransfer payments for scanned/faxed entries must be sent to ickerr@shaw.ca by May 18th, 2018 12. No one under the age of 19 will be permitted to handle, ride or show a stallion on the show grounds at any time. 13. Entries close May 18th, 2018. Mailed entries must be postmarked by May 11th and accompanied by a cheque for all fees. NEW FOR 2018: Entries can be made online at www.reinerware.net. Scanned or faxed entries will also be accepted ONLY if accompanied with an Etransfer of funds sent to ickerr@shaw.ca by May 18th, 2018. If an Etransfer is not received by the appropriate deadline, entries will be considered post entries. We are trying to make the entry process a bit smoother for you by not having to mail all of your paperwork to the secretary, but please note: if you enter the class, you are in the class and will pay for the class unless you scratch properly, NO EXCEPTIONS! Also, you will NOT be entered into a class until you have provided all of the proper paperwork for the class and with this you run the risk of being a post entry if you do not provide your proper paperwork. This means that if you do not provide the show secretary with the rider and owners 2018 membership cards and/or horses proper competition license, you will not be entered into the class until you do and you run the risk of paying the post entry fee if it applies. Entries, HCBC, AQHA and Paperwork and can be: Faxed to 1-866-797-5913 or SCAN and email your entry and applicable paperwork to sales@reinerware.com or Enter online at www.reinerware.net - HCBC, and AQHA paperwork entered through this system as well. Please do not send an email saying enter me in class 2, 4 and 9. Please fill out your forms, sign the release and email. If you fax your entry, PLEASE send a follow-up email to Deb at sales@reinerware.com letting her know you have faxed the entry so she can look for it AND respond to you that she received it! Section B. Penalties, Fines, and Refunds: 1. Payment must be faxes or emailed by the entry deadline or post entry fees will apply. Post entry fees are $50. 2. NSF cheques are not considered timely payment and post entry fees will apply. A $50.00 NSF charge will also apply. Accounts will have 7 days to be paid in full by cash or money order or they will be reported to the for further disciplinary action. 3. Scratches accompanied with a vet certificate and received 5 days prior to the start of the show, will receive their stall fee as refund. No other refunds will be given. 4. Substitutions will be accepted with a vet certificate and a $25 substitution fee. 5. Once the show is complete credits will be mail refund cheque from FVRC. Payments made by credit card will be credited to your credit card. Section C. Pay Out (payouts will be sent to class winners after all paper work is cleared through ): 1. payback percentages will be used to calculate pay outs unless otherwise stipulated. Payouts are according to rules. Show will retain 50% of entry fees. 2. WCRA will retain 50% of entry fees. Any payouts in WCRA Classes will be made in accordance to rules 3. All money is stated in Canadian funds. All paybacks will be in Canadian funds. Payouts less than $10 will be considered a donation to FVRC Section D. Eligibility: 1. It is the competitor s responsibility to be aware of their earnings and enter classes accordingly. Eligibility criteria are explained in the class list provided in the show package for all classes and are as of Jan 1st, current year. 2. classes use earnings only, which are moneys earned in a approved event. eligibility lists are available at www.nrha.com Section E. Post Entries: 1. Post entries will be accepted up to 2 hours prior to class start; with the exception of the first class of the day, which must be post entered by 4:00pm the day before. NO EXCEPTIONS! Late Fees will apply. It is show management s discretion as to when the draw is posted. 2. Post entries will be charged an FLAT fee of $50.00 per horse. 3. Post entries will be to the start (beginning) of the regular draw for Friday & Saturday classes and at the end of the draw on Sunday. 4. Show committee reserves the right to close post entries at any time.

Section F. Stalls, and Arena Availability: 1. See show schedule for specific move in time & show office hours. 2. The show committee reserves the right to close the arena for maintenance at any time they deem necessary. 3. Every horse on the grounds (stabled or haul in) will be charged the $45 Show/Grounds Fee. Haul in fee will be $20.00 per day. Leadline is exempt from the office and haul in fee. Youth receive a reduced rate of $30 for the Office fee which includes haul in fee (Applicable only if solely registered in youth classes). 4. Warm Up arena will be available 24 hours per day from Thursday after 4 pm, except for harrowing. 5. Show competitors only in Warm Up & Main arenas. 6. Stalls will be available Thursday afternoon at 4:00 pm, and must be vacated no later than 9:00 pm Sunday. 7. 5 bags of shavings are included in stall fee, additional bags may be purchased through the show office. Tack stalls do not come with bedding, therefore have a reduced rate. 8. All horses on the grounds, whether stalled or not, must be entered in a minimum of one class at the show. 9. Competition arena will be open for riding beginning on Thursday following the completion of the paid warm-ups and following each day s classes. Show competitors only in the competition and warm-up arena for riding. 10. Stalls must be booked with entries and are limited. Tack stalls are available on a first come first served basis. Additional stalls may not be available for post entries. Please check for availability with show committee. Section G. Show Management: 1. Any concerns must be directed to the show representative s attention. 2. No mistreatment or abuse of a horse will be tolerated. 3. All competitors and spectators must conduct themselves in a sportsman like manner at all times. 4. Show management decisions will be final and binding. 5. Slide Out West show management reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule this event without notice at any time prior to the event and without liability to Slide Out West, FVRC or WCRA. Entry fees will be returned in the case of cancellation. Section H. Parking: 1. RV/Trailer hookups are available at Chilliwack Heritage Park for $30.00 per night and include power only. All RV/Trailers will be required to display camping registration card (provided by show office) in a visible location during the show as proof of camping registration. 2. Dry Camping will be offered at $10.00 per night. 3. Please park in designated parking areas only. Any vehicles parked in an un-authorized area will be moved at the owner s expense. 4. No vehicles or trailers are permitted to park for longer than 10 minutes to unload at the back of the stabling area. Section I. General Information: 1. Website posting is for information purposes only and is considered draft only. In the case of a difference between the website and the show office, the show office information will be final. 2. All reining classes will be judged according to the 2018 WCRA rulebook except where designated as classes, which will be judged according to the 2018 rulebook. Where possible WCRA follows rules. The WCRA rulebook is available at www.wcra.info or by contacting the Show Secretary. AQHA classes will follow AQHA rule book. 3. The Fraser Valley Reining Club show committee will select patterns. The patterns will be posted a minimum of one hour prior to the start of the competition. Patterns are also available at www.wcra.info or www.nrha.com 4. All protests and complaints must be submitted to the show committee in writing. 5. All Champions and Reserve Champions must report to the photographer for sponsor photos. Section J. Draw: 1. The draw will occur on Friday @ 10:00 am for Friday classes; on Friday @ 4:00 pm for Saturday classes; & Saturday @ 4:00 pm for Sunday classes 2. The draw will not be posted until the show secretary has time to complete gate print ads and post at in gate. Day sheets will not be printed for this show. 3. Once the draw has occurred you will not receive a refund if you scratch. If you scratch before the draw is completed you will not be charged.. 4. Even if you have a Veterinarian or Doctor s note, unless you have scratched your classes prior to the draw you will still be charged. Section K. Equipment: 1. Equipment must be used as stated in the, AQHA & WCRA Rule Books, unless otherwise specified. See WCRA rule book at www.wcra.info. 2. After each work, bits will be dropped and viewed by the judge or designate. 3. Classes where running martingales are allowed, rein stoppers must be used. 4. All youth under the age of 19 years old are required to wear an approved helmet at all times while mounted on the grounds. Youth are not permitted to handle or ride stallions on the grounds at any time. Section L. Animal and Bicycle/Scooter Control: 1. Dogs are to remain on leash and must be kept under control at all times. Please clean up after your dog and respect signs restricting access to outdoor areas and green spaces. Dogs can cause safety hazards. Please be attentive in high traffic areas 2. Bicycles or motorized scooters are not permitted anywhere in the indoor arenas or stabling areas

Ltd Non-Pro Open to any Non Pro cardholder, who has earned less than $10000 in all categories except 3, 7, & 9 over the previous 3 years. 4a. Prime Time Non Pro Riders aged 50 years & older 5a. AQHA Amateur Reining Open 6. Never won a Buckle (Non Pro) Any Non Pro rider that has never won a buckle in any reining class prior to running in this class. May use two hands with any legal headgear. Modified pattern. 7b. Intermediate Open 8b. Eligibility rules are listed below for WCRA classes offered at WCRA sanctioned shows. It is the responsibility of the competitor to understand all rules and eligibility restrictions of these classes. Additionally, WCRA offers year end highpoint awards for many of these classes as well as some classes. Rules for highpoint eligibility are listed below as well.
