Notes Dear Friends, Becky, Chauncey, Tatymn and I would like to welcome you all to our 17th annual bull sale. This year we are going to offer 28 high performing Charolais bulls, 18calving ease and growth Red Angus Bulls and 1 percentage bull that offers the best of both worlds. This will mark my familys 0th year raising Charolais cattle and our 20th year in the red angus business. I know I say it every year but I think these are the best bulls I have ever offered. I guess they should get better every year shouldn t they. In todays market situation I think everyone is looking to add value to their calf crop. Of all the breeds out there I truly believe that these two are the front runners for adding value. There are no better feedlot performance cattle than the Charolais cross. With profit margins narrowing, feedlots are demanding higher efficiency and weight gain and their go to feeder calves are Charolais crosses. On the flip side, if you are looking at selling replacement type heifers it is evident that the Red Angus breed has the market cornered in that area. In no other breed will the heifer calves outsell the steers. Charolais cattle have been the performance leader for over 0 years in this country and simply put, more pounds equals more money. This set of bulls has a genetic history that is matched by no other herd in the United States. I am very proud of what we have done. This set of Red Angus bulls represent genetics from some of the biggest names in the Red Angus breed along with my own herd sires that offer a very balanced EPD package along with calving ease and performance. There is nothing out there that is more sought after right now than the Red Angus female, this set of bulls will produce calves that will feed well and make great momma cows. The bulls have been developed on a high roughage ration that promotes healthy rumen development, sound feet and legs, and allows the bulls to make an easy transition to the range conditions they must survive in. These bulls are extremely lean yet heavy muscled and will not fall apart halfway through the breeding season. We would like to invite you to come and inspect the bulls anytime before the sale. If any, salvage value belongs to the OWNER of the bull. The salvage amount will however be deducted from any final settlement amount. COVERAGE The coverage provides traditional, full mortality for death from natural causes and accidental causes including life-threatening injuries.
