RULES All rules as per 2012 BSPS Rule and Show Hand Book, except for any new or amended rules as indicated in the Schedule. BSPS rules must be adhered to at all times. This Show is affiliated to the British Show Pony Society and all persons entering, competing, showing or otherwise taking part whether a member or not shall be deemed to the jurisdiction of the BSPS. The Show is also affiliated to the British Show Horse Association and the relevant classes will be judged under their rules The Show is also affiliated to the British Skewbald & Piebald Association and the relevant classes will be run under their rules. This show is a qualifier for the BSPS Summer Championship Show 2012. The 1 st and 2 nd prize winners in the Open Nursery, Novice and Open WHPs Open SHPs Open L/R F/R and Open Show Pony classes will qualify. The 1 st 2 nd and 3 rd in the Cradle stakes, Open Intermediate classes and Heritage M&M will qualify. This show is a qualifier for the 2012 Royal International Horse Show. The Blue Riband Pony of the Year competition: 1 st & 2 nd placed prize winners in each of the Open WHP, SHP, Open Show Pony, L/R and 1 st Ridden classes and 1 st 2 nd & 3 rd prize winners in the Open Intermediate WH, SRT & SH classes will qualify. Owners and riders must be BSPS members and the pony registered with the BSPS to compete in classes with Blue Riband qualification. BSPS Premier League Competition: This qualification will be awarded to the 1 st 2 nd, 3 rd & 4th placed ponies in the following Open classes that are NOT RIHS qualifying classes. 128cm, 138cm, 148cm, Open Show Ponies, Open SHP Open WHP Nursery and Cradle Stakes Heritage Ridden and Heritage WHP. BSPS Black Country Saddles Rider of the Year Competition: The best rider from each of the following classes will qualify, Open Show Pony, SHP, WHP Open L/R F/R L/R of HT Cradle /Nursery Stakes and Open Intermediate classes and Heritage classes see rule 455. Neither the BSPS nor the committee, any judge, steward or any other official shall be liable for injury or damage to any person, animal, article or property. It is a condition of entry that each exhibitor or competitor shall indemnify the organizers and hold them harmless against such matters aforesaid. The committee reserves the right to alter the times of classes or the Judge if necessary. Horses must be registered with the Association and all owners, exhibitors and riders must be Association Members. Riders must be 15 years of age or older. Classes 34 40 are qualifiers for the Royal International Horse Show. The first prize winner will qualify to compete at the final. If already qualified the second will qualify, if the first and second are already qualified then the third will go forward. Only horses owned by a BMHS member may enter. Owners, exhibitors and handlers must be current members and have paid the appropriate BMHS 2012 Showing Levy. Measurements for all classes (other than Y small) are as follows:- 4 years old and over 87 cms 3 years old 86 cms 2 years old 84 cms 1 year old 82 cms Classes U, V, W, X, Y & Z ARE QUALIFIERS FOR THE ROYAL INTERNATIONAL HORSE SHOW 2012. CHAMPIONSHIP First and second prize winners from classes 71-76 qualify to compete for the Championship. The winner qualifies for the Supreme Champion of Champions class at the BMHS International Breed Show in September 2012.
UNAFFILIATED MINIATURE CLASSES These classes are unaffiliated classes, open to members and non-members of the British Miniature Horse Society for both registered and un-registered horses. 1st to 3rd prize winners in each class will qualify for the British Miniature Horse Society Breed Championships, unaffiliated classes in September 2012 at Stretcholt Farm in Somerset.
