Team Match Frmat: Each team match cnsists f 3 dubles matches. Fr the Weekday Wmen and Business Wmen, individual matches are the best 2-ut-f-3 sets. Fr the Men s League (due t the 6:45 p.m. timeframe), players will have the ptin f playing the best 2-ut-f-3 sets r t play a 10-pint super tiebreaker played in lieu f a cmplete 3 rd set. Divisin Levels: Playing levels ffered are 5.5, 6.5, 7.5, 8.5, and 9.5. Teams play at the cmbined level f the dubles team. The cmbined individual ratings f the dubles team cannt exceed the playing level. Fr example, a 3.5 culd play with a 3.0 r 2.5 (6.5 level), r with a 4.0 r 3.5 (7.5 level). Registratin Dates: Registratin is pen Mnday, February 7, 2011, with the deadline fr team registratin n Mnday, April 4 (Men), Wednesday, April 6 (Weekday Wmen) and Saturday, April 9 (Business Wmen). TennisLink will nt allw fr late team registratins. Players can be added t teams thrugh 11:59 the night befre the last match f the rund rbin seasn. Team Requirements Frming a Team: Teams need at least 6 eligible players registered by the deadline. Of the 6 players n the rster, teams must be able t prvide 3 separate lines f 3 pssible duble pairings. Fr example, in the 6.5 divisin, yu cannt prvide 3 separate lines f pssible dubles pairings if yur players are rated 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 3.5, 3.5, and 3.5. Hme Facility Requirements: Teams are required t prvide tw curts f the same surface at their lcatin. All facilities must be lcated in Cbb, Dekalb, Fultn, Gwinnett, r Frsyth Cunty. Captains at a new facility shuld cntact USTA Atlanta (770-416-4333 r maegan@ustaatlanta.cm) t verify yur facility is eligible fr the USTA League Tennis prgram. The fllwing infrmatin is required: facility name, address, number f curts and directins frm I-285. The team can nt register until the facility is prcessed. Lights are required the evening league. Player Requirements New USTA Players and/r Self-Rate Players: New players that d nt have a NTRP rating must selfrate using the USTA League Self-Rating Guidelines as fund n www.ustaatlanta.cm. (Ratings > Self-Rate Guidelines) Individuals are required t answer a series f questins prir t self-rating. It is strngly recmmended that self-rated players register at least 10 days prir t the registratin deadline s any appeals can be handled befre the clse f registratin. If a persn has a cmputer rating generated 3 years ag (2 years ag fr Super Senir 60+), s/he will be permitted t enter a new selfrating. Ratings fr the 2011 Spring Cmb Dubles League: Returning players must use their 2010 year-end rating that is published n www.ustagergia.cm. Players can appeal their 2010 year-end rating by cmpleting the appeal frm fund n www.ustagergia.cm. Age Eligibility: Players must be 18 (r turn 18 during the 2011 calendar year) r lder in 2011 fr the t play in the Cmb Dubles League. USTA Membership: All players must have a USTA membership that is current thrugh June 2011. T jin r renew a membership, g t www.usta.cm r call 1-800-990-USTA. If yu see a screen that wants yu t cnfirm yur email address, update yur email address and click submit. Only peple wh are nw, r have been, captains see this screen. If yu are a Team Captain and want t register yur team, prceed t Step 5. If yu are a player and wish t register yurself, yu must get yur team number frm yur captain, then g t Step 6. All Captains must create a new team number each seasn. This step creates a team number and registers the captain n that team. A new screen called Facility Lcatr will pp up. In the Special Search bx, use the arrw t drp dwn and select Atlanta League Facilities. In the Facility Name bx and type the first 3 r 4 letters f yur facility name (i.e.: Hud fr Hudlw) then State and click Search. D nt fill in any ther bxes. If yur facility des nt appear using the name search, take ut the 3 letters f yur facility and try using the facility zip cde. The list may be lng but yur facility will be here. Once yur facility is lcated, click n it nce, the Facility Lcatr screen will clse and the facility name will pre-fill n the Online Team Creatin page. Click Create Team. Fllw the instructins n the screen fr payment. Write dwn yur team number. Print a cpy f yur cnfirmatin. Yu need the team number t give t yur players s that they can register n yur team. If yu did nt receive a Cngratulatins screen with an invice number then yur team is nt registered and the team number that yu have is nt valid. REGISTERING A PLAYER G t Register fr a Team. Enter individual USTA membership number f the player (r players) starting n line # 1. Captains beware! The USTA number that was used t lg int TennisLink will always appear n the first line f the registratin screen. D nt register yurself twice! Enter yur new team number fr Spring 2011. Enter yur phne number. This ptin will allw yu t verride yur membership infrmatin shuld yu wish t use a cell phne number as yur primary cntact. Check the infrmatin carefully. If yu register a persn incrrectly yu will frfeit the TennisLink fee. Click Submit. If a persn des nt have a cmputer rating the system will prmpt a series f questins t declare a self-rating. Players shuld self-rate where they believe is crrect and nt just use the TennisLink assigned minimum level. If yu chse a rating fr anther persn and they d nt agree with that rating it cannt be changed nce a match is played. If yu self-rate fr anther persn and a grievance is filed against that persn fr playing belw their ability level, yu may be held respnsible as well. Enter the credit card number n the secure site. When the cnfirmatin page is displayed, yu are registered! CHECKING YOUR TEAM ROSTER G t www.ustaatlanta.cm and click n the TennisLink icn. If yu are a captain, enter yur USTA Membership number under the Captains/Crdinatrs sectin and click G. If yu see a screen that wants yu t cnfirm yur email address, always click cntinue.
