If jacket is inflated, deflate by reversing the oral tube cap and press against the valve in the oral tube until jacket is deflated. Then put on as a regular jacket, close buckles and adjust the waist belt to fit the wearer as tightly as possible. Jacket will inflate when immersed in water, should jacket fail to inflate automatically pull the toggle to inflate via the gas cylinder. Should the jacket fail to inflate, or you need to top up the jacket, inflate using the oral inflate tube. DO NOT inflate orally and then inflate via the gas cylinder. Gas cylinder should be checked or replaced every one year after purchase. (D) Details on the restrictions of use This jacket is a 275N Adult Personal Flotation Device. This is not a PFD until fully inflated. This jacket is intended for general offshore and rough weather use where a high standard of performance is required. It will turn an unconscious person into a safe position and requires no subsequent action by the user to maintain this position. If used in freezing conditions (below 4 c) inflation times may be longer and inflation by oral tube may also be required.
