April Newsletter 2017 PRESIDENTSREPORT The first month of Autumn has seen the continuation of the warm weather, plenty of grass growth, greens being cored and substantial water laying on certain fairways. I have had plenty of feedback from members in relation to the course which I can assure you, is passed onto the greens committee and match. With the minimal staff utilised by MGR, I feel comfortable in what MGR presents to you as a golf course and especially after playing on a few different courses lately, our golf course is a credit to the greens staff and those members that give their time to help. Executive Director Nick Cavallo PO Box 5059, Mildura. Ph.: 50231147 gm@milduragolfresort.com.au Committee of Management Steven Fumberger ( President) president@milduragolfresort.com.au The 11 th Tee shade area is nearing completion and I need to thank Greg, Gary & Duck for their hard work. We will continue to renovate this area that will hopefully assist golfers during charity days and days of extreme weather. I would also like to recognise the work of Wade Hooper who has been a tremendous asset to the club. Please support Wade in the Pro Shop, his innovative ideas and passion to assist the MGR golfing members is very pleasing. Some changes are planned to support both Wade and the members so please remain patient and watch this space. Col Harrison (Vice President) Greg Buchanan (Vice President) Rick Foster (Captain) captain@milduragolfresort.com.au Craig Jukes (Vice Captain) Ian Nimon (Treasurer) Bev Stone (Handicapper) I wish you all the best in the coming Mildura Open. Probably a good time to get a lesson from Wade prior to this event, many prizes on offer and looks to be very pleasant weather looming as well. Happy to take any feedback you may have, happy golfing and repair your divots. Regards Steven Fumberger Paul Leonard Dave Murray Sue Walmsley Eily Raeck Ferdi Bergamin Golf Professional Wade Hooper proshop@milduragolfresort.com.au Dad s Army We value the work carried out every Thursday morning 8am to 12 noon. New members are always welcome,
