Check-in procedures Athletes Lounge Bike check: handlebars, wheels and spare wheels (non authorized UCI wheels rule) Helmet stickers, any damage, correct fitting strap Coloured helmet sticker for front of womens helmets and letter F on the calf Uniform check (name, country, logos, ITU logo, zippers) photos taken of each uniform. Wearing other uniform during the race = DSQ! Body marking check (both arms, both legs) Timing chip distribution
Check-in procedures Transition Area Helmet check- Don t leave your helmet fastened in the transition The athlete who misses to comply with this rule will receive a time penalty of 15 or 10 (Junior) seconds in TA1. Running Shoes outside the box, helmet on the bike Drop spare wheels at the Athletes Lounge To add any equipment to the bike, you must obtain approval from the Head Referee up until 10 minutes after the end of the Athletes Briefing.

Run Penalty Box The penalty box is for infringements in: Run 1,TA1, bike and TA2 e.g.: Mount before mount line, dismount after dismount line, discharge or store your equipment outside your designated area, rack the bike outside your own space etc (Transition will be videotaped for infringements) Location: Prior to Entering the Kings Garden park Information: White board to show race numbers (Athletes need to read the board coaches are advised to check and inform their athletes) Procedure: 15 second time penalty (or 10 for Juniors) must be served before finish. If you don t stop DSQ
Run Penalty Box If you incur a penalty, you will find your number plus a letter code indicating the nature of the infraction: D = Dismount Line Violation M = Mount Line violation L = Littering S = Swim Conduct E = Equipment Outside Box V = Other Violations For example: 12D athlete #12 received a time penalty for a dismount line violation 2x12ME athlete #12 received 2 time penalties for mount line and equipment outside the box violations
Post-race Procedures Anti-Doping Control Photo ID is needed for every athlete to have ready for Doping Control Medical Only accredited team medical allowed in this area when an athlete from their team is being attended to. Every NF can have 1 team medical upgade pass, but only for team doctors!
Ambush Marketing PLEASE OBSERVE THE AMBUSH MARKETING RULES Ambush marketing is defined as: Deliberately using the opportunity of live television and media photographers to acquire additional exposure for your sponsor product, apparel or brand. The consequence for this behaviour is that the athlete will immediately forfeit their prize money for that event, if any.
Medal Ceremonies As per the ITU Competition rules: 2.8 c.) (i) Athletes must wear the uniform during the entire competition and award ceremony. Long sleeves and long pants are allowed for the award ceremony Elite/U23/Junior athletes are not allowed to carry their country flag on the podium; there will be flags raising with the playing of the national anthem of the winner.
Coaches areas Coaches Accreditation All coaches must have accreditation to enter the venue. Coaches can access location beside the Penalty Box, Athletes Lounge, Spectators Area in TZ and Recovery
