This year we will offer you two weeks in Pensacola of fun filled showing with the beach just a few miles away. All Weeks of the Emerald Coast Classic will be National rated for the hunters. RULES AND REGULATIONS Entries The closing date for entries for Emerald Coast is Monday. November 16, 2015. After that date ALL stall fees are nonrefundable. Completed entries accompanied by check or credit card should be sent to address on entry blank. Checks are to be payable to Elite Show Jumping. No horse may participate in the event or be on the grounds without having a completed entry blank, including signatures acknowledging the agreement printed thereon. Horse show management is not responsible for entry errors due to incomplete or illegible entry forms. If one wants points to count toward end of the year award, the owner s, horse s, and rider s USEF member numbers must be on the entry form. Owners and exhibitors are responsible for all horses and fees incurred by them or their agents, even though payment may not be submitted with entry. Parent or legal guardians of minor exhibitors will not hold Elite Show Jumping, Inc., staff, or facilities responsible for any injury to such minor. No minor s entry will be accepted without the signature of a parent or legal guardian. Entry forms for each show must include horse s name, rider s name, all classes or divisions entered, ALL MANDATORY SIGNATURES, and Social Security or Federal ID numbers of owners. Current negative Coggins tests are required for admittance to the grounds. Entries received after the closing date of 11/16/15 will incur an additional fee of $25.00 per horse. Refunds are given to entries with cancellation prior to the show, less a $15.00 processing fee. A $35.00 fee will be charged for returned checks. Upon notification, accounts will be given (5) five days to be paid in full. If not made agreeable in five days, sanctioning organizations will be notified for disciplinary repercussions. Additional fees such as a $25.00/per day non-stabling fee or a $50.00 non-showing fee will apply to those applicable. Both non-stabling horses and non-showing horses are expected to pay office and medic fees. Upon leaving an open signed check, exhibitors will receive their numbers. Any horse show bills not checked out at the conclusion of each show will be checked out by the horse show secretary. Any mistakes at check out must be resolved within 24 hours. Please check your bills carefully. Current USEF rules relating to drugs and medications will be enforced. Each horse entered must pay the $8.00 USEF Drug/ Medication Fee plus an $8.00 USEF fee. (Total $16.00 USEF Fee). Each horse entered will also be required to pay the USHJA Zone Support fee of $7.00. Credentials ALL EXHIBITORS IN ANY PONY, JUNIOR HUNTER OR AMATEUR SECTION MUST PRESENT THEIR CREDEN- TIALS (MEASUREMENT CARD OR AMATEUR CERTIFICATION) TO THE SHOW OFFICE BEFORE THEIR NUMBERS CAN BE RELEASED. Kindly send a photo copy of credentials with entry to facilitate processing. All horses or ponies without a valid measurement card will be measured at a designated time and place. Anyone not presenting valid membership credentials (USEF/USHJA) will charged a $35.00 non-refundable non-member fee per organization. Amateur exhibitors not able to present valid Amateur Credentials will be required to pay the $30.00 annual Amateur Card fee. Only a parent will be exempt from the Federation non-member fee if signing as coach for his/her minor child. Horse Registrations All horses competing in Federation non-breed restricted licensed competitions with hunter, hunter breeding, jumper and hunter seat equitation classes (except those activities enumerated in GR091.9, items 1-9) must be properly identified and must obtain a Registration Number from USHJA. A registration number for each horse must be entered on all entry forms for licensed competitions in order to receive a number. There will be a discounted rate of $175 ECE if paid in full by closing date. To receive the discounted rate of $175 ECE for horse and tack stall an entry blank for each week must be completed in full and payment received prior to closing date of Nov 16th, 2015. One horse/pony per stall. There will be no sharing of stalls. Shavings deliveries need to be made through the horse show office. There will be no Sunday deliveries. Trainers or agents need to check in with the horse show secretary Friday by 2:00p.m. to verify shavings count and stall splits. Motorized Vehicles/Golf Carts Minors who do not have a valid driver's license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be premitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid drivers license. The parent(s), guardian(s) or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be caused for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) from competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule. Protective Headgear Protective head gear, properly secured, must be worn BY ALL RIDERS AT ALL TIMES WHILE MOUNTED, ANYWHERE, ANYTIME ON THE SHOW GROUNDS. Headgear for all riders must meet or exceed ASTM Standards; must carry the SEI tag; and be properly secured by a harness per USEF rules. Conduct Any act of discourtesy to a Judge, Show Official, or staff member on the part of any trainer, owner, rider, or groom will immediately disqualify any horse with which they are associated and all entry fees will be forfeited. No refunds will be made. Schooling Schooling in the show rings without permission is prohibited at all times. Rings will be available for ticketed warm-up the day prior to the show. The rings will be available after the show for one hour each day and for limited schooling in the morning before the show. There will be no schooling over fences in the morning of the shows. Gate personnel have the authority to scratch riders who do not follow directions. Management may restrict schooling if conditions warrant. Schooling Rings are off limits to horses not entered in show in the current week. All horses on grounds must have a current entry blank in the office and be entered in the show. Poling and Off-sets Manual poling and the use of bamboo off-sets are prohibited for all horses competing. Any rider, trainer, groom, or other person involved with poling or off-setting will be subject to a $500 fine. Lunging Lunging will be restricted to designated areas. There will be no lunging in show rings or schooling rings. Attire Jackets will be worn for hunter and equitation classes. Tucked-in polo shirts can be worn in the jumper ring. For classics and medals, formal attire is required. In extremely warm conditions, for the safety of our competitors, jackets will be waived. Dog owners failing to comply with this rule may be subject to penalty under Chapters 6 and 7, as well as issuance of warning cards pursuant to rule GR 301. Dogs that are loose are subject to impound and a $100 fine. Electrical/Fire Regulations All electrical installation and connections must meet all state and county codes. Aisles shall be maintained clear for a minimum of six feet wide by eight feet high. No obstructions or projections shall be allowed in these aisles. No ClassI Flammable liquids such as gasoline are allowed inside the buildings. Cooking is not permitted within the stable area. Anyone found in violation shall be subject to dismissal from further participation in the horse show without recourse.
