WINTER WONDERLAND FATHER DAUGHTER DANCE FRIDAY, MARCH 3 rd 7:00 9:00 Piney Grove Middle School We look forward to seeing all the girls from Big Creek and their escorts- Father, Grandfather, Uncle, or Family Friend! Ticket information is going home the last week of January, and cost is $15 per couple and $7.50 per individual (sibling). This event is for students of Big Creek and their escorts only (1 adult per girl or family). Formal photos will be available for purchase at the dance. You won't want to miss this magical evening filled with dancing to a live DJ, sweet treats, and a keepsake for each girl! We need lots of volunteers to make this fabulous event happen! BIG CREEK ELEMENTARY NIGHT AT THE GLADIATORS FRIDAY, FEB. 17, 2017 @ 7:35 P.M. Enjoy a night of family fun as the Gladiators battle Adirondack and the chorus performs O Canada prior to the game. If we sell 100 tickets, a portion of each ticket sold will be donated back to the BCES chorus program. All tickets must be ordered online using the special code for Big Creek Elementary School. Georgia Parent Survey Public schools in Georgia are evaluated on the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) using survey data from students, school personnel and parents to calculate the School Climate Star Rating. Student surveys will be administered in school. The deadline for the surveys is 3/3/17. HONORING OUR HEROES 24 questions CLICK HERE to take the survey! Parents with children at multiple schools must complete one survey per school. Big Creek is participating in this program and the deadline for entries is Monday, January 16 th. The Forsyth County Council PTA is sponsoring our annual Honoring Our Heroes writing program. This program encourages students to recognize a person that has been special to them, and to express those thoughts through their writing. Students should select a real life hero who has made a difference and has shown Do you want to de-clutter your house & help our students at the same time? Consider donating hardcover children's books that your children have outgrown to our media center. Simply drop them off at the front office (Mon-Fri 7:10-3:30 through the end of the school year), and we will get them to Mrs. Spiegelman to add to our book collection. You can take your unwanted paperback books (both children's and adult) to Read It Again Bookstore (next to Michael's). You can donate the store credit they give you to the Big Creek Elementary account. Mrs. Spiegelman can then use this credit to help purchase books that service our whole student body.
