UCM SCHOLARSHIPS UCM Foundation scholarships are available for incoming freshmen, undergraduate and graduate students. Students may apply for multiple scholarships. Most applications must be delivered or postmarked by March 1, 2013 for the 2013-2014 academic year. Be sure to check criteria description for scholarships that have an application deadline other than March 1.
Through the Looking Glass Scholarship A new scholarship specifically for high school seniors or college students who have parents with disabilities. A total of fifteen $1,000 scholarships will be given out Fall 2013. High School Seniors: To be eligible, a student must be a high school graduate or graduating senior by Summer 2013. The student must be planning to attend a two year or four year college in Fall 2013, or enrolled in an accredited vocational/technical school during 2013. The student must be pursuing a certificate; license; AA, AS, BA or BS degree, and have at least one parent with a disability Go to www.lookingglass.org/scholarships and download the 2013 Application Procedures and Application Form. All application materials must be postmarked by March 11, 2013.
Missouri State University Department of Nursing Presents the Nurse for a Day Workshop Students will attend a full day workshop on, Friday, April 5, 2013. Students will remain on the Missouri State University campus all day and will be supervised by University staff members and student volunteers. In order to be eligible, students must meet the following criteria: 1. Possess at least a 3.0 high school GPA 2. Obtain a reference from a high school faculty member (form included in materials packet) Those interested in participating in the program should pick up a packet in the CHS Guidance Office, complete the items in the packet, and mail them by March 22, 2013. Space is limited and there will be a waiting list, so apply soon.
