WE CARE ABOUT KIDS Format The tournament format is Texas Scramble. Foursomes have the opportunity to golf Northview s Ridge Course. All team members will hit drives from the tee. Each player must have their drive used a minimum of three times. Each team member will hit their next ball from the best drive. Trophies and prizes will be awarded to top teams and contest winners. All contests are included in the golf packages, however Mulligans will be available to purchase, one per golfer. Wine Cooler Charity Draw We request that each guest bring a bottle of wine worth about $15 (no home brew, please) to the Golf Tournament and donate it to the Surrey Fire Fighters Charitable Society, located at the registration table. At the same time, buy your raffle tickets at $10 for a single ticket or $20 for three tickets to enter the draw for the Wine Cooler. At dinner, one lucky winner of the Wine Cooler Draw will receive the Wine Cooler. The will donate back half of the wine while the other half will be auctioned off in the silent auction table.
Fire Fighter Themed Events Be sure to arrive early to purchase a few balls in the Ball Drop. A limited number of balls will be dropped from one of the Surrey Fire Department s Aerial Trucks. KP on this drop will take home a nice prize! Try our Hold the Green contest on Hole #8. This Third Alarm par 4 is a risk reward shot for those who dare to step into the fire. It s 211 yards of all carry over an ocean of water with the pin sitting at 238 yards. It s no secret some of our members like to golf on our days off Think you ve got what it takes to beat a Fire Fighter? Give it a try by sticking the ball closer to the pin on one of the Par 3 s Try and out-drive one of our members! We ll even give ourselves a handicap by wearing some firefighting gear! Just want to have fun instead? Use a fire fighters tee shot instead of yours on a hole.

About The The is administered by the Surrey Fire Fighters Association and is supported by the Surrey Fire Department. We strive to provide charitable programs that benefit the citizens of our community and to assist other charities within the community that have similar goals and objectives. Over the past 10 years our fundraising efforts have supported a variety of initiatives including: $2 million over the past 12 years to the BC Burn Unit at Vancouver General Hospital $1 million to the Children s Health Centre at Surrey Memorial Hospital $300,000 to the YMCA $150,000 to Jim Pattison Outpatient Center $125,000 over five years to the splinting and casting room at South Fraser Child Development Centre The only reason we are able to contribute to the above causes is because we have received generous support from organizations, businesses and individuals throughout British Columbia. About the Annual Golf Tournament The annual Surrey Fire Fighters Charity Golf Tournament has been developed to support the goals of our charity and further fund initiatives such as the ones listed above. By supporting this tournament, our charity can continue supporting causes such as a nutritional school snack programs for students at Surrey Public Schools, high school programs developing young adults and larger initiatives such as contributing to the BC Burn Fund. This tournament will allow organizations, businesses and individuals to partner with the Surrey Fire Fighters Charitable Society thereby changing lives for many youth and children in need.
