Equipment Information Your son will be provided with the following: Sweat Top and Sweat Bottoms Jacket Game Jerseys and Game Pants Batting Helmets This equipment is property of MISD and must be returned, undamaged, at the conclusion of the season. Lost or damaged equipment will be replaced by the player
Equipment Information The following required equipment is available for your son to purchase Red Shirt Blue Shirt Shorts Camo Cap (Varsity only) Blue Socks & Belt Red Socks & Belt Blue/Red Cap All three teams will need both blue and red socks/belts/undershirts. Players will provide their own practice pants (white or grey) All players will need spikes and flats/turf shoes. Black spikes or team spikes. Once teams have been selected players will have the opportunity to purchase their equipment.
Expectations of Players 1. Pass all classes every six weeks 2. Be prepared and on time 3. Be respectful to coaches, teachers, administrators, and opponents 4. Be a good teammate, be positive 5. Take care of his arm and let us know if he s hurting 6. Communicate with his coach when he will miss baseball 7. Look like a Midway Baseball Player (hair, facial hair, etc) 8. No cell phones in dugout practice or games
Expectations of Parents 1. Be positive, encourage, and support your child and the team; win or lose 2. Respect the coach s decisions and encourage others to do the same. Let the coaches do their job 3. Communicate with your son s coach when you have a question

Frequently Asked Questions 1. How does my son earn a letter jacket? Players who are on the varsity and in good standing at the end of the regular season will earn a baseball letter jacket 2. Can my son play/practice with his select team during the season? No 3. Does MHS have athletic trainers? YES, we have two full time trainers that are very good at what they do. We expect our players to see us and the trainers when they are hurt. Our trainers will refer them to a doctor if they determine it is necessary. 4. Will my son have a locker? YES, every player will have a locker with a combination lock in the baseball locker room. It is your son s responsibility to lock his locker every day. Players are not allowed in the locker room unless there is a coach present. 5. Where do I pick up my son after practice? At the baseball locker room 6. Does my son have to ride the bus home after an away game? No, although we encourage them to ride home with the team MISD does allow players to ride home with their parents. Parents must sign out their player with the coach before leaving. Players are not allowed to ride home with anyone other than their parents.
Frequently Asked Questions 7. What does my son wear for practice? Every day the dress will be specified on the practice schedule. Players will wear baseball pants or sweats every day. They will wear their blue shirt on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and their red shirt on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. They are expected to wear a belt, socks, and Midway cap each day to practice. 8. What kind of uniform will my son wear? Varsity 3 pants, 6 jersey tops, both blue and red socks/belt JV Blue 2 pants, 3 jersey tops, both blue and red socks/belt JV Red 2 pants, 3 jersey tops, both blue and red socks/belt Your son will turn in his jersey and pants after every game to be washed. Players do not take their jerseys or pants home.
