Product is moderately irritating to the skin. May cause skin sensitization. Skin sensitization may be evidenced by rashes, especially hives. Because of its low volatility this product is not likely to be an inhalation hazard. This product is considered to have a low order of acute oral toxicity. AGGRAVATED MEDICAL CONDITIONS: Pre-existing skin and eye disorders may be aggravated by exposure to this product. HEALTH INFORMATION OTHER HEALTH INFORMATION (EPOXY RESIN) Pre-existing skin or lung allergies may increase the chance of developing increased allergy symptoms from exposure to this product. CHRONIC STUDIES: Recent 2 year bioassays in mice exposed by the dermal route to epoxy resin, the DIGLYCIDYL ETHER OF MUTAGENICITY: EPOXY Hazard Rating: Health: 2 Fire: 1 Reactivity: 0 PPI: N/L CAS Number EPOXY RESIN 25068-38-6 KAOLIN FUMED SILICA *** ALL Ingredients in this product are listed in the T.S.C.A. Inventory PART B PRODUCT TYPE: BISPHENOL A (DGEBPA), or to resins predominantly of DGEBPA have yielded very limited evidence of weak carcinogenicity. DGEBPA is a component of the resin in this product. The authors of this work concluded that the renal tumor evidence with this resin was of no biological significance and that the resin is not a systemic carcinogen when applied to the dorsal skin CF 1 mice. IARC concluded that DGEBPA was not classifiable as a carcinogen (IARC GROUP 3), based on the following: HUMAN AND ANIMAL EVIDENCE BOTH INADEQUATE. Both the resin and DGEBPA, have proven to be inactive when tested by in vivo mutagenicity assays. They have both shown activity by the in vitro microbial mutagenicity screening and have both produced chromosomal aberrations in cultured rat liver cells. The significance of this information to man is unknown. SECTION 5 FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES Flammability Class: IIIB Flash Range: N/A Pensky-Martens Closed Cup ASTM D 93 >200 F Explosive Range: N/A FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES: water fog, dry chemical, foam, carbon dioxide. Water or foam may cause frothing. Use water to cool fire-exposed containers. If a leak or spill has not ignited, use water spray to disperse the vapors and provide protection to the people attempting to stop the leak. Use full turnout gear including self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). Fire-exposed containers may build pressure and burst. SECTION 6 ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES SPILLS: Shut off all ignition sources and dike spill to contain and prevent entry into sewers or water sources. Absorb spilled material and place in closed container for disposal. Controlled incineration. Handle in compliance with local, state and federal Environmental Protection Agency regulations.
