ROCKSHOX ULTIMATE PUMP TRACK CHALLENGE a Rules & Regulations a 1. Riders must collect their racing plate number on the Friday 4 th of July from 5:00 to 6:00pm under the registration tent on the Tourism Office main square. 2. Riders must inspect the Pump Track Challenge presented by Rock Shox course on foot before the start of the competition. 3. It is MANDATORY to systematically present at the start of the course with the race plate numbers installed on the bike even for free training 4. All Amateur riders must qualify. Minimum age: 15 years 5. Parental authorisation + identity card of parents for all riders under 18. Qualification process is as follows: After the compulsory free training session from 6:00pm to 8:00pm for all riders on the Friday 4th of July, every rider will have to do a run on the course defined by the organisers for this qualifying heat. Qualifications of Time Trial will take place from 8:00pm to 8:30pm on the Friday 4 th on July. Qualification will be validated by a chrono time The riders will start one by one in descending order of race numbers, from highest to lowest 2 runs of 2 laps. Only best time counts. Results will determine qualifying. The best rider can then select his starting side during final stages. Following this qualification run, only the x32 best times men and the x8 best times women will be retained to establish the ranking of this qualifying heat and determine the starting line up of the final heats: a second training session will be organized from 8:30pm to 9:00pm.
The final will be held from 9:00 pm at 10:00pm on the Friday 4 th on July. Starting procedure: Riders start from opposite sides of track The start will be made feet on ground and hands off bars End of event: when the first rider has completed two full laps of track. Riders may incur a time penalty in the following cases: Passing from one course to another Hampering the progress of riders who want to overtake them Not finishing the race on their bike False start or contact with the starting gate GENERAL PROCEDURES a REGISTRATION The number of registered riders will be limited to 100 men and 16 women riders. Every person wishing to participate in ROCKSHOX ULTIMATE PUMP TRACK CHALLENGE race will have to sign up online at Link : http://www.les2alpes-evenements.com/crankworx-les-2-alpes.html REGISTRATION FEES / INSURANCE The registration fee is a fixed 20 uros. Registration will only be complete after receipt of the full payment. The registration fee includes the insurance premium guaranteeing the liability of the rider towards any third party.
INSURANCES The riders licensee at the FFC (Fédération Française de Cyclisme) or UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) will have to present their licence during the collection of their numbers. The non licensed riders must: - present a photocopy of a medical certificate less than 3 months old The fees are refunded (except fixed package and bank transfer expenses) if and only if the candidate signs the cancellation insurance at a cost of 2 uros upon race registration, subject to provide proof of your insurance. Without subscription to the cancellation insurance, no refund will be given. No request of refund will be taken into account beyond July 7th, 2014. REGULATION AMENDMENT / ADDITIONS / INTERPRETATIONS The race director is in charge of applying and regulating the rules throughout the race. Any queries will be passed over for a clear decision from the jury. Also, any case not planned for in the aforementioned regulations will be considered by the jury whom have the final decision. Any modifications or additional amendments will be announced by dated and numbered additions as an integral part of the regulation. These additions will be displayed in the Tourism Office of Les 2 Alpes, they will also be directly communicated to the competitors as soon as possible.
TECHNICAL VERIFICATIONS Mountain bikes have to be in a good general state, no split frames and the brakes must be in good condition. Inspections can be made at any time. Wheels 26 inches minimum and MTB helmet are compulsory. (full face optional) Knees& elbow protections are strongly recommended. If the organization finds a mountain bike or protections that do not comply to the above criteria, the rider will not be allowed to take part. CHECK DURING THE RACE / FINAL CONTRACT Numerous marshals will be placed all along the course to cite any infringement of the rules. Their reports will give to the jury the decision-making power as when to award penalties. ADVERTISING / SPONSORSHIP Riders are permitted to apply any advertisements on their mountain bikes. However, riders must use the front number plate supplied by the organization. The front number plate must be fixed on the mountain bike in the allocated area without modifying or masking the advertisements of the organization. Each rider will give for free his image rights to the organizers for press, TV, internet or social media purposes
SUMMARY OF SANCTIONS Organization advertising changed: Refused start Nonpayment of registration fees: Refused start No proof of license: Refused start Disregard of the courses during the race : Exclusion of the race No helmet (full face optional): Refused start CLAIMS All claims will have to be written and sent to the race director. Claims will have to be accompanied with a cheque worth 15 uros. This sum will be paid back only if the merits of the claim were deemed valid. Only registered competitors have the right to claim. A complaint by a competitor against a decision taken by the jury following the marshal s report must be made immediately after the decision. Any claim against the ranking must be presented an hour and a half at the latest after the results have been shown. RANKING 2 categories in the Pump Track Challenge race: Man category and Woman category Age taken into account: age reached or must be reached in the current year. IMPORTANT The organization reserves the right to revise the bonuses if the number of registered riders does not exceed 6 participants by category. Riders who do not turn up to the award ceremony will forfeit the prize money and cups which would have been awarded to them.
