Times will be available by Thursday evening prior to each show on www.rcra.ca or by calling 905-898-7743. Times are also emailed to competitors so please include an email address on your entry form that is spelled clearly and correctly. Specify specific test(s). Will run as Hors Concours events unless 3 or more entries. EC BRONZE DIVISIONS - RULES AND REGULATIONS SECTION 1 MEMBERSHIPS 1. Any rider(s) entering any class or divisions at this horse show and any person or group listed as the owner(s) on the entry form of any horse or pony entered in any class or division of this show, MUST be current members in good standing of the Ontario Equestrian Federation (OEF) and Equine Canada (EC) and must supply original or photocopy of their 2015 OEF membership card before they will be issued a number. A receipt of payment for the OEF membership is also valid. 2. EC BRONZE SPORT LICENSES are now required to compete in BRONZE divisions. A copy of the 2015 EC Bronze Sport License is required. SECTION 2 ADMINISTRATION 3. Entries and applicable fees must be received on or before the closing date to avoid post entry fees. Entries will be accepted by mail, fax and e-mail as long as they are addressed to the show secretary. 4. REFUNDS: Administration, drug and stall fees are not refundable. NO EXCEPTIONS. Class/Division fees will be refunded if cancellation is made in writing and delivered to the show office 24 hours prior to the start of the horse show with the required medical documentation. Once a horse has entered the show grounds, there will be no refund unless authorized by the show committee. All unpaid scratch fees will be considered an outstanding account until paid in full. 5. Payment By cheque, debit, Visa, or Mastercard. If paying with cash, please bring the exact amount. Payment in full with Entry Form. No numbers will be issued without a signed open cheque or credit card authorization left to cover all charges and fees incurred by the

exhibitor. No numbers will be issued to any horse or rider for whom an entry form has not been fully completed. CHEQUES SHOULD BE MADE PAYABLE TO: RCRA OR Royal Canadian Riding Academy 6. All NO SHOW entries, including faxed and phone-in entries will be charged full entry costs and applicable fees. All accounts must be settled prior to the next show, otherwise entries will be denied. Please note any outstanding accounts at year-end will not be eligible to receive year-end awards. 7. A $50.00 charge will be added to all accounts paid with cheques that are returned from the bank for any reason. 8. Show management reserves the right to change or amend show scheduling up to one hour prior to the designated class. 9. Under NO circumstances will a PHONED IN entry or cancellation be accepted. SECTION 3 GENERAL 10. Every class offered herein is covered by the rules and specifications of the current rules of EC and will be held and judged in accordance with the EC Rule Book. 11. Dogs are allowed on leashes. If a dog is caught off leash, one warning will be issued then a $50 fine will be issued. 12. Show Office Hours - RCRA Show Office is open an hour before the first ride and closes an hour after the last ride 13. Food - RCRA has an onsite, fully licensed cafeteria style restaurant (Equus Café) on the second floor of the main complex. No outside food allowed in this area. 14. Lunging - Lunging is allowed only in the warm-up arena (Arena 2) until 7:00 am 15. In the event of a fall of horse and/or rider, the exhibitor must leave the ring dismounted. 16. Casual, weather-appropriate, tidy attire is allowed for all divisions and classes except as specified by show management. 17. Dressage Tests All tests will be conducted in a 20m x 60m ring. 18. Approved headgear: Junior competitors must wear proper fitting, approved protective headgear, with the safety harness correctly secured at all times while mounted in competition or on event grounds. Approved headgear meets the ASTM (American Society for Testing Materials) standards and displays the SEI (Safety Equipment Institute) seal. The British standard, BSI is also acceptable. 19. Management reserves the right to limit or close the entries of any class or division in an effort to adhere to the timetable. Please visit www.rcra.ca for any notices regarding the program or changes to the timetable. 20. Stabling: Stalls are assigned on a per calendar day basis; therefore is a horse arrives on Friday and leaves on Sunday, the cost will be for 3 days, regardless of departure time on Sunday. 21. Shavings: If your pre-ordered shavings are not in the stall when you arrive please contact the RCRA Show office or Front Desk immediately. RCRA will issue no refund for missing shavings at the end of the competition

22. Any horse entered in any class at a competition may be selected for equine medication control testing while at the event location. (A602.6) 23. Per Article A801, every entry at an EC-sanctioned competition shall constitute an agreement by the person responsible that the owner, lessee, trainer, manager, agent, coach, driver or rider and horse shall be subject to the EC constitution and all rules of EC and any additional rules set by the competition. It is the responsibility of all individuals participating in any capacity in EC-sanctioned competitions to be knowledgeable regarding the EC constitution and the applicable rules of EC and the additional rules, if any, imposed by the competition. Do not participate in this EC- sanctioned competition in any capacity if you do not consent to be bound by the constitution and rules of EC and any additional rules imposed by the competition. SECTION 4 WESTERN DRESSAGE 22. RCRA is excited to be offering Western Dressage classes. RCRA will be using WSDAC (Western Style Dressage Association of Canada) tests and rules. Please visit their website http://www.westernstyledressage.ca for more information 23. All Western Dressage competitors must use an ASTM/SEI/BSI certified helmet while mounted. 24. Dress Code for Western Classes (taken directly from the WDSAC website) Long-sleeved shirt with any type of collar. In the case of hot weather short sleeve shirts with a collar are acceptable. Conversely, in cold weather suitable warm clothing is acceptable. Trousers, pants, a one-piece long sleeved equitation suit provided it includes a collar and boots. Optional and legal attire include(s): necktie, kerchief, bolo tie or pin, vest, jacket, coat and/or sweater, spurs of western type, chaps, shotgun chaps, or chinks 25. All Western Dressage riders are applicable to the Administration fee and the OEF Medication fee. 26. Western Dressage Competitors will use the additional classes section of the entry form (on the right hand side of the entry form) to fill in their class selections. Providing for the continuous well being of horses by encouraging routine inspection and consultation with health care professionals and competition officials to achieve the highest possible standards of nutrition, health, comfort, sanitation and safety as a matter of standard operating procedure. Continuing to support scientific studies on equine health and welfare. Increasing education in training and horsemanship practices. Requiring owners, trainers and exhibitors to know and follow their sanctioning organization s rules and to work within industry regulations in all equestrian competitions. Reviewing, revising and developing competition rules and regulations that protect the welfare of horses. The standard by which conduct or treatment will be measured is that which a reasonable person, informed and experienced in generally accepted equine training and exhibition procedures, would determine to be neither cruel, abusive nor inhumane.
