1. Product and Company Identification Product Name: POLY-BEE Sealant Chemical Family: Polymeric hydrocarbon blend Company Identification 1700 Woodhurst Lane Albemarle, NC 28001 United States 24-hour Emergency Telephone Numbers: 1 800 424 9300 (CHEMTREC) 1 704 984 4817 (Local) 2. Hazards Identification Emergency Overview Physical State: Color: Odor: Semi-solid grease White / off-white Very slight hydrocarbon odor Several components are classified as dust hazards and can be irritating or form explosive mixtures in air. As compounded, these components cannot become airborne and present no hazard. OSHA Hazard Communication Standard This product is not classified under the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard, 29 CFR 1910.1200 Potential health effects Eye contact: May cause slight transient irritation. Skin contact: Prolonged or repeated contact can defat the skin and lead to irritation, cracking or dermatitis. Inhalation: If heated, sprayed or otherwise mechanically dispersed, product may generate vapor or mist concentrations sufficient to cause respiratory irritation.

Ingestion: Ingestion may cause gastrointestinal irritation and diarrhea. Carcinogenic effects: Contains no known carcinogens. 3. Composition information CAS # Mixture Amount 100% Component Polymeric hydrocarbon blend 4. First-Aid Measures If inhaled: If symptoms are noticed, move to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get immediate medical attention. If on skin: Wipe material away with a disposable cloth. Wash affected areas thoroughly with soap and water. If irritation develops, seek medical attention. If in eyes: Rinse immediately with water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention if redness, swelling, itching or burning occurs. If swallowed: Do not induce vomiting unless directed to do so by a physician. Vomiting may cause material to enter lungs and lead to inflammation or damage, or obstruct breathing. Contact a physician. 5. Fire-Fighting Measures Flash point: > 121 C (250 F) (COC) Rapid depolymerization can occur in a fire and produce flammable vapors. May depolymerize above 200 C producing extremely flammable butene monomers. Vapors may cause fire. Vapors may accumulate in low or confined areas or travel a considerable distance to an ignition source and flash back. Runoff to sewer may create fire or explosion hazard.

Suitable extinguishing media: water fog or fine spray, dry powder, carbon dioxide or alcoholresistant foam. For safety reasons. do not use water jet. Fire-fighting hazards: hazardous smoke, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, formaldehyde, butene monomers and flammable vapors. Fire-fighting PPE: self-contained breathing apparatus and turn-out gear. Additional information: Dispose of fire debris and contaminated extinguishing water in accordance with regulations. 6. Accidental Release Measures Personal precautions: Clear affected area, ensure adequate ventilation. Risk of slippage due to oily surface. See section 8 for PPE. Environmental precaution: groundwater. Do not discharge into soil, ditches, sewers, waterways or Cleanup: Risk of slippage due to oily surface. Scoop the majority of the spill into a sealable container, then follow up with absorbent and/or disposable cloths. Suitable absorbents include dirt, vermiculite, sand or clay. If necessary do a final cleanup with soap and water. Move waste to an appropriate segregation area. 7. Handling and Storage Handling Provide adequate exhaust ventilation at the process machines and work areas. contact with skin or eyes. Avoid Storage Keep container tightly closed, in a dry well-ventilated place.

8. Exposure Controls and Personal Protection Respiratory protection: Good general ventilation should be sufficient to control worker exposure to airborne contaminants. Where engineering controls may be inadequate to eliminate mist or vapors, wear a NIOSH-certified (or equivalent) organic vapor/particulate respirator. Hand protection: Chemical resistant nitrile gloves. When handling hot material, wear heat resistant protective gloves. Eye protection: Safety glasses with side shields. Use tight-fitting chemical goggles or face shield if splash hazard exists. Eyewash fountains must be easily accessible. Body protection: Wear apron or coverall if there is a splash risk. When handling hot material, wear heat resistant protective gloves, clothing, and face shield that are able to withstand the material temperature. 9. Physical and Chemical Properties Form: Semi-solid grease Odor: Very slight hydrocarbon odor Color: White / off-white Vapor pressure: Not Available 25 C Specific Gravity 0.90 25 C Viscosity 19,000 cp 121 C (250 F) Solubility in water: No ph: Not applicable Boiling point Decomposes above 300F Flash point >121 C (250 F) COC 10. Stability and Reactivity Conditions to avoid: Several components decompose at extreme temperature and may release formaldehyde (above 150 C) and butene (above 200 C). Avoid all sources of ignition, particularly when material is hot.

Substances to avoid: strong oxidizing agents, acid clays at >100 C Hazardous reactions: May depolymerize above 200 C with the production of extremely flammable butene monomers. Decomposition products: None if handled and stored as indicated. The product is chemically stable below 300F. Thermal decomposition: None if stored and handled as indicated. Corrosion to metals: Not corrosive to metals. Oxidizing properties: Not oxidizing. 11. Toxicological Information Toxicology values have not been determined. 12. Ecological Information Ecotoxilogical values have not been determined. Degradability/Persistence Has not been determined. Based on component information, product is not expected to be readily biodegradable. The product is not water soluble. In some circumstances it may be possible to mechanically remove it from water. Bioaccumulation Has not been determined.

13. Disposal considerations Incinerate or otherwise dispose of waste in a licensed facility. Do not discharge into sewer system. Dispose of containers in a licensed facility. Do not try to clean containers since residue is difficult to remove. Do not try to cut empty drums with gas or electric torch as toxic decomposition products may be liberated. 14.
