Kick off the Anthem Wicked 10K Weekend at our Sports & Fitness Expo! Get your race packet including your race bib and everything you need prior to race day. Friday, October 26, 2018 12pm - 7pm Saturday, October 27, 2018 6:30am - 8:00am (Packet Pick-Up Only) 1000 19th Street Virginia Beach, VA 23451 What should I expect? If you are 16 or older, you must have your ID to pick up your race packet. NO EXCEPTIONS Please know your race number before you come to the Sports & Fitness Expo. It will be emailed and texted to you. Pumpkin Smash Challenge Participants need to pick up their race numbers at the marked challenge tables. Please have your 10K Bib # ready to pick up both of your race bibs. Both your 10K and Mile bib will be at the Challenge table. What if I can't pick up my Race Packet? Family members with the same last name can pick up your packet with a copy of their ID. You may authorize another person to pick up your packet. The authorized person must have the following: his or her ID, a copy of your ID, and a printed and signed authorization form from you. After you get your Race Packet, explore our Sports & Fitness Expo. Visit the J&A Racing Store, stop by Vendor Booths, and visit the J&A Racing Hub. Want to eliminate some stress on race day? Become an expert on race weekend logistics. Everything you need to know from parking to road closures to course support is provided for you below. How should I get there? When planning your route to the race start, please remember roads begin to close at 6:30am. Where should I park? Please give yourself plenty of time to find parking before the start of each race! Many parking lots are cash only, so it can be helpful to bring cash with you. Don't forget your Race Bib. J&A Racing uses the state-of-the-art Chronotrack Timing System at the Anthem Wicked 10K Weekend to provide you with fast and accurate race results. On the back of your race bib is a disposable timing chip. Do not remove or bend your timing chip. In order to receive an accurate time for your event, please make sure your bib is: * Clearly visible on the front of your costume, shirt or jacket * Pinned to your costume, shirt or jacket on all four corners * Not covered by a jacket, costume, fuel belt, etc. Dry Bag Check - 10K ONLY We will have dry bag check for the 10K. For security reasons, we will only accept items in the clear bags provided to you at packet pick-up. Tear the "Gear Check" tab off your race bib and attach it to the clear, dry bag provided to you at packet pick-up. Tie your dry bag closed before lining up to drop your bag off. Do not put any items of value in your dry bag as J&A Racing is not responsible for any lost items. Drop Off Dry Bag Trucks will be located at the in front of the start line. Bags can be dropped off before the race between 6:30am and 7:45am. Pick Up At 7:45am, the trucks will be moved to the Boardwalk after the finish line chute. Dry bags must be picked up immediately following the race. Dry bag area will close at 11am.
10K Course Support Port-a-Potties Port-a-Potties will be located at the start and finish of each race and at each water stop. Please respect the beautiful City of Virginia Beach and relieve yourselves in port-a-potties only. Water Stops Water stops are located at approximately mile 2, 3.5, and 5 along the course. Medical Tent A medical tent will be located at the Finish Line. Medical personnel will be located along the course too. Trick or Treat Candy Stop Thanks to Bon Secours In Motion, a candy stop is waiting for you at Mile 5. Krispy Kreme Donuts Just before Mile 5, keep your eye out for this sweet treat. Race Photography Marathon-Photos will be on our course to capture your race. They will be available for purchase 24 hours after the event. Running with a Stroller? If you are running with a stroller, you must include your rider's information in your race registration. It is your responsibility to make sure all rider information is provided for race day. Rider information can be added to your registration at the Sports & Fitness Expo. Strollers are not allowed in the first two corrals. Please seed yourself behind all other runners in your corral. It is your responsibility to make sure your stroller does not impede other runners.
You've crossed the finish line. Now what? We have a party waiting for you on Friday night and Saturday Morning. Join us at the Post Race Party on Friday and Saturday. Your race bib will serve as your ticket for post race goodies. Invite your family and friends to join you in celebrating. The Post Race Party is open to the public, and beer tickets are available for purchase. ABC Law requires all individuals who are consuming alcohol at our event to have their ID checked. Your race bib will not serve as verification of your age.
