IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL EXHIBITORS Electric fence and portable yards are not allowed on the showground. This is essential for the safety of yourself, your fellow exhibitors and the general public and is a requirement of the Work Health and safely Act 2011. The Act imposes very serve penalties in the event of non-compliance with its provisions. Any exhibitor who does not comply will not be allowed to exhibit at the showground. ALL MONIES RAISED ARE USED TO PROVIDE AND MAINTAIN THESE FACILITIES. Taree Showground is a designated Glass Free area and NO glass drink containers are to be brought onto the site. The M.R.A. & H. Society Taree Inc. Committee reserves the right to search for any prohibited item including but not limited to weapons, controlled, dangerous or illegal substances, alcohol bottles and cans which may be expressly forbidden and subject to confiscation. NO alcohol is to be consumed or carried in the Sideshow area. No person under the legal drinking age is to attempt to purchase and / or consume any alcohol at the Showground. If of age, he or she will not consume such quantity of alcohol as would give rise to a blood reading above the legal limit allowable in the State for control of a motor vehicle, or such quantity which would adversely affect his/ her ability to drive a motor vehicle, whichever is lesser. Alcohol must ONLY be consumed in the designated licence area. Drunken, unruly, offensive behaviour or fighting will result in removal from the Showground. The M.R.A. & H. Society Taree Inc. Committee reserves the right to refuse admission without explanation and to eject any person whose conduct the Committee or a member of the Committee deems disorderly, unruly, offensive or any person who is adversely affected by alcohol or otherwise behaves in a violent or threatening manner. Any person supplying alcohol to a person under the legal drinking age will be ejected from the Showground. Children under 10 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. The speed limit for vehicles within the Showground area is 10 kilometres per hour. Any person ejected from or directed to leave the Showground is therefore banned from re-entering the Showground until such time as the Committee of the M.R.A. & H. Society (Taree) Inc. has lifted the ban. Such person shall thereafter be treated as a trespasser and Police will be notified.

M. R. A. & H. SOCIETY (TAREE) INC. DAIRY CATTLE RULES & REGULATIONS. 1. All Exhibitors MUST abide by the General Rules & Regulations of the M.R.A. & H. Society Taree Inc. 2. All entries must be made on the Special Cattle Entry Form and be accompanied by the necessary Fees. 3. Johnes Score to accompany entries. Cattle must be EBL Free. Pestivirus tested. 4. All Animals must be registered in the Herd Book or their Respective Breeding Society. 5. All Animals Not of Age for Registration must be registered in accordance with the Rules & Regulations of their respective Breeds. 6. All Livestock must be the Bona Fide Property and in the Possession of the Exhibitor at the time of entry. Where reasonable grounds exist for doubts, the Committee may demand a Statutory Declaration as to the Bona Fides of any exhibit from the Exhibitor. 7. A class in which the Exhibit comprises one Animal shall be a Single Class, a class in which the Exhibit comprises more than one Animal shall be a Group. 8. A Heifer is defined as being under three (3) years of age and not having had a calf before the date of the Show. 9. Any Cow entered in a Dry Class if at any time of competition may compete as a Wet Cow or vice versa. Cows which are entered in a Dry Class which are in milk on the Day of Judging must be miked out immediately prior to entering the Judging Ring. 10. A Dry Cow is defined as having completed nine (9) months lactation or is six (6) months in Calf at time of entry. 11. All Stock must Parade in the grand Parade unless granted special exemption by the Chief Steward. 12. All Dairy Cattle Exhibitors to wear suitable attire. 13. Dairy Cattle to be Judged on Saturday at times as stated in Schedule and in order of Classes as per Schedule. 14. The Point Score for the Most Successful Exhibitor award: 1 st 3 points, 2 nd 2 points, 3 rd 1 point, Champion: 2 points, Reserve Champion: 1 point. 15. No Animal other than an Exhibit shall be displayed or exposed for sale on the Showground. 16. If, in the opinion of the Veterinary Surgeon of the Society, an animal on the Showground shall be injured or be so affected by sickness, disease or other ailment as to warrant its destruction or its removal from the Ground, as the case may be, the Society shall be entitled to have the animal destroyed/removed from the Ground and/or shall be entitled to request Owner to forthwith remove the animal from the Ground. All costs incurred by the Society shall be for the account of the Owner and shall be refunded to the Society. 17. To enable the necessary stalls to be prepared, each Exhibitor of Cattle, when forwarding entries, must state on the Entry Form the number of cattle he will be sending to the Show as the stalls are allotted one week prior to the Show. Exhibitors are warned that the Society cannot guarantee stalls available if this is not adhered to. 18. No Cattle can compete in any Classes additional to those that are entered on the Entry Form. 19. In addition, all Entries are subject to the General Rules & Regulations of the Society. 20. The Head Steward of each Breed of Cattle and the Chief Cattle Steward shall comprise the Disputes Committee. 21. All Exhibitors must be on the ground by 8 am on Saturday, 8th October, ready for Judging to commence at 9 am. 22. In Sires Progeny Classes, the Exhibitor must be the owner of the three (3) exhibits in the Pen. The Exhibitor may not necessarily be the Breeder of the Sire. Entries shall be selected from General Classes. Name of Sire to be stated on Entry Form. 23. An Exhibitor may enter Cattle registered in the Appendix 1 & 2 System for Holsteins and Group 1 & 2 Jerseys. 24. NATIONAL CATTLE HEALTH ATTENTION DAIRY EXHIBITOR Planning for our 2017, 139th Taree Agricultural Show is well underway and we are contacting you with some important news regarding your entries for this years event. Due to recommendations from the Agricultural Societies Council of NSW Ltd we will be enforcing compulsory testing for Pestivirus. This means all cattle attending the Taree Agricultural Show, that Exhibitor/s must provide a copy of the lab report for each animal entered for competition prior to the entry being accepted. No report means your entry will be rejected. It is also a directive of the Agricultural Societies Council of NSW Ltd. that a copy of the NVD/Waybill must accompany your Entries.
