FIA DRIVER CATEGORISATIONS REGULATIONS GENERAL PRINCIPLES An FIA Driver Categrisatin list will replace the current FIA WEC and FIA GT3 lists frm 2015 nwards. The FIA Driver Categrisatin is the basis fr all FIA Champinships that use a driver system, and can be adpted by any series, which are free t make any mdificatins they wish (as lng as these are clearly visible). All series that will be using the FIA Driver Categrisatin must include in their regulatins a prvisin specifying that they must refer t this categrisatin system. If a Cmpetitin uses the FIA system, it may nt use a secnd categrisatin system. Any series which aims t use the FIA Driver Categrisatin list shuld prvide the cntact infrmatin f a persn wh will be able t prvide gd advice abut the series, the races and the drivers taking part. The initial categrisatin is based n the driver's age and career recrd, which may be adjusted in subsequent seasns accrding t the recrded race pace and results f the series that are using the categrisatin system. All series using this system will be requested t submit standardised data after each race t the FIA administratin. All series shall make an fficial statement if they use the FIA Driver Categrisatin system. Drivers will be remved frm the list after 3 years shuld the Cmmittee have insufficient data. The list f cmpetitrs allwed t take part in any cmpetitin will indicate the categry attributed t each driver. Any driver requesting a categrisatin must specify in which series he is taking part. Drivers wh have nt been categrised will nt be allwed t take part in any cmpetitin which depends n driver categrisatin. The "brnze", "silver", "gld" and "platinum" designatins are "FIA cpyright". If a champinship des nt use the FIA Driver Categrisatin, it cannt use these designatins as they are. A natinal series may use the FIA Driver Categrisatin system. ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS Drivers wishing t cmpete in the GT Series must send in a recrd f achievements t the FIA at the latest eight days prir t the beginning f the first cmpetitin in which they wish t take part, using the fllwing link http://private.fia.cm/categrisatin.
