Welcome to the RBC Junior Open Championships RBC and the Dutch Caribbean Golf Association are proud to present this year s RBC Junior Open Championships at the Tierra Del Sol Resort Spa & Country Club. The RBC Junior Open Championships will be taking place on the 12 th and 14 th of October 2013 in Aruba. Throughout its history, RBC has shaped the face of professional golf in Canada. Many of golf s greatest names have claimed the Canadian Open Championship including Byron Nelson, Arnold Palmer, Sam Snead, Greg Norman, Nick Price, Tiger Woods and Vijay Singh. As the regional Golf Association for the Dutch Caribbean (DCGA) the Dutch Caribbean Golf Associations missions is to promote Golf in the Dutch Caribbean, and are honored to host the RBC Junior Open Championships. 1. RBC Junior Open Championships International: The RBC Junior Open Championships is a 2 day International event with participants from all over the world. Eligibility The Championships shall be open to junior golfers meeting the age criteria. A Junior Golfer is defined as any boy or girl who has not attained the age of 18 years on or before the first day of the RBC Junior Open Championships. The Age Groups for the Championships are as follows: Boys and Girls 12 to 14 15 to 17 The qualifying age shall be the age of the player on the first scheduled round of the championships. Players may only compete in the Age Group for which they are qualified. Format The Championships will be conducted by stroke play over 36 holes, over two consecutive days, playing 18 holes each day. Should circumstances make it impossible to complete the required number of holes stated above, the Championships may be decided after the completion of such lesser number of rounds as the Tournament Committee may determine but with a minimum of eighteen holes.
Trophies & Prizes The following trophies and prizes will be awarded: RBC Junior Open Championships Overall winner. Girls Champion 12 to 14 - The girl aged 12-14 with the lowest aggregate score over the Championships. Girls Champion 15 to 17 - The girl aged 15-17 with the lowest aggregate score over the Championships. Boys Champion 12 to 14 - The boy aged 12-14 with the lowest aggregate score over the Championships. Boys Champion 15 to 17 - The boy aged 15-17 with the lowest aggregate score over the Championships. The winner of each of the Championships will receive a Trophy. The overall winner of RBC Junior Open Champions name will be engraved on a RBC Junior Open Championship Cup, which remains on location. Rules of Golf & Close of Competition Play will be governed by the Rules of Golf as approved by the R&A Rules. Questions will be settled by the on-site Rules Committee, whose decision will be final. The result of each match is deemed to be officially announced when the result has been posted on the public scoreboard and approved by the Tournament Committee.

3. Golf Course The RBC Junior Open Championships will take place at the Tierra Del Sol Resort Spa & Country Club. The Golf Course designed world renowned Golf Course Architect Robert Trent Jones II. This Championship Golf course has hosted 1998 Shell s Wonderful World of Golf with Nick Price and Payne Stewart.
4. PGA Professionals The RBC Junior Open Championship is hosted by the Dutch Caribbean Golf Association in joint collaboration with PGA Professionals in the Dutch Caribbean region. The Chairman of the Dutch Caribbean Golf Association Junior Committee is Mrs. Jane Weststrate Head Golf Professional at the Old Quarry Golf Course which is located at Santa Barbara Plantation on Curacao. Mrs. Jane Weststrate who is a P.G.A Professional whom obtained her degree at the P.G.A in the Netherlands. Mr. Matthew Lowe is a Head Golf Professional at Blue Bay Golf Resort. Mr. Matthew Lowe studied Business and Golf Management in Birmingham University, United Kingdom and is a P.G.A Professional. The Tournament Director Mr. Adam Williamson Head Golf Professional at Tierra del Sol Resort Spa & Country Club. Mr. Adam Williamson studied Johnson & Wales University whom obtained his degree in Sports Entertainment & facilities Management.
5. Official Title Sponsor RBC JUNIOR OPEN The Dutch Caribbean Golf Association and RBC are organizing the first RBC Junior Open Golf Championships. RBC CANADIAN OPEN Established in 1904, the tournament is the third-oldest national open golf championship worldwide next to the British Open and the U.S. Open RBC proudly supports golf around the world through high profile relationships with the PGA TOUR, the PGA of America and Golf Canada. The RBC Canadian Open will take place July 22-28, 2013 at Glen Abbey Golf Club in Oakville, Ontario. RBC HERITAGE The RBC Heritage is a golf tournament to the residents of Hilton Head Island and South Carolina. It is major tournament where funds are raised through the annual tournament and distributed to those in need throughout the area. This year was the 45 th Anniversary of the RBC Heritage Tournament.
