HELPFUL INFORMATION Schools Parade This event will commence at 12.30pm with judging of the Irish Stephenson School Team Perpetual Trophy and the Marie Stansborough Perpetual Trophy. Students will be required to be mounted in Equestrian School Team uniform with their team in assembling area at 12pm with their nominated supervising teacher/parent for their school team. This class will be judged on the Best Turned Out Equestrian School Team from the following; 1. Cleanliness of uniform, mount, tack 2. Overall appearance 3. Teams performance working as a group Times All times are available below the ring headings. Catering Will be available on the day until sold out. Attire All riders are to wear EA approved helmets only. Each school must be easily distinguished by riders wearing their school uniform at all times with their jodhpurs. If your school has saddle cloths, brow bands and emblems in school colours they can be worn. Boots with smooth soles must be worn. If schools have banners suitable for the Schools Parade event they may be used and carried by students on foot not on horseback. Responsibility We require each school participating in the Trinity College Equestrian Club Interschool Gymkhana to nominate a supervisor, either a staff member or parent to accept full responsibility for their school team members including attire and gear checks. Trinity College and the organisers will not accept responsibility for any damage or accident that may occur on the day. Riders Riders must ride in the Open OR the Encourage ring not both. Riders in Ring 2 must not compete in other ring. Awards Ribbons awarded 1 st to 4 th place in each class in each ring. Champion and Reserve ribbons for Championship classes. Trophy awarded to Champion ribbon winners in each ring. Supreme Champion Hack in ring 1 will be awarded a Trophy. High Point Trophies for the rider scoring the highest point score overall in each arena. Trinity College Shield awarded to the school gaining the highest points for the day. Weather If the ABC 1 News 7pm on Wednesday, 28 February 2018 broadcast predicts the weather forecast to be 36 o C and over for Friday, 2 March 2018 in Elizabeth, the event may need to have some adjustments made to the programme or events will be judged more quickly allowing for an earlier finishing time for the welfare of horses and riders. Everyone will be advised on the day. Lunch Break There will NO lunch break held during the day as riders will find time between events to do this, enabling the day to run more efficiently for everyone. Conditions Of Entry $25 entry per rider payable at the Secretary s Tent from 7.30am. Entry into the grounds from 7am. Entries on the day of $25 (unlimited events and gate entry fee inclusive) available at Secretary Tent from 7.30am. Wrist bands must be worn at all times. NO STALLIONS OR COLTS permitted on grounds Classes will NOT be held excepting Champion classes, hold time will be limited to ensure smooth running of the day s program Age is as on the day of the show (proof may be asked for) The organisers reserve the right to remove any unruly horse or person from the grounds for the safety and welfare of other horses/persons. Any protest must be made in writing and signed and handed to the show secretary with a $50 fee. The protest must be lodged within 10 minutes of the event in question. The committee will determine the outcome of any protest. The fee will be returned should the protest be upheld. NO DOGS permitted on the grounds. All manure is to be removed and placed in bins before departure. All holes dug by horses while being tied up to be filled in. All hay cleaned up and put into manure bins. Committee reserves the right to alter program and classes as deemed necessary on the day. Competing in Ring 4 (Encourage) must ride in snaffle bridle. Please note; The Trinity College Interschool Gymkhana will be run in accordance with Interschool Rules that can be found on
the ESA website.
